That is not what I asked. Just about any phone will connect to just about any network using GSM or 3G. Doesn't mean you can connect via LTE and especially 5G to get the higher data speeds.

OP highlighted a lot of negatives but there are positives too. Most people can speak passable english so that's a huge plus. Also more similar culture to the west compared to elsewhere in Asia. Booze is pretty cheap. Accomodation can be cheap if you get a long term lease of a year or more. So it's just short term accomodation that is not such a great deal compared to Thailand. Lastly, the girls love westerners and don't seem to care too much how old you are.

Barretto is pretty much a dump too imo. It wouldn't be so bad if they put in a bypass road. All those big vehicles constantly going through belching diesel just totally ruins the peace and tranquility of the place for me. I don't mind the city of Olongapo so much. The freeport area around the marina is nice enough to walk around. Also nice up in the hills where it's a bit cooler and away from any potential flooding. It can rain quite a bit in rainy season though, so July/Aug is a good time to go somewhere else.

Will it also work in Philippines/Vietnam? I would like a dual SIM with 5G that works in all 3 countries. It's harder to get 5G support in all 3 than for 4G/LTE. Finding phones that support all the bands I want is the hardest part. Specs for all the different country variants are not always accurate or easy to find in one place. I wish there was a website where I could type in the countries I want it to work in and it will come up with all the options and what bands it supports. Yes, I know there are a few websites that kinda sorta do that but they are not always up to date and accurate so I don't always find them that useful.

Prices will come down eventually. It took Canada a few years but now legal prices are forcing the black market to lower their prices to try compete.

How do you explain the previous wave in Thailand where cases exploded when everything was shut down and everyone was wearing masks while the western world, including UK, were going down? Not containable. Any suggesting to keep wearing masks as a solution is beyond ridiculous at this point, so of course that is what the WHO is recommending. It's not more dangerous so nothing to be any more concerned about than previous Omicron variants.

As some else here mentioned your best bet if you can find someone willing to give you cuttings. They may also be referred to as clones. Typically it's the tips of unflowered branches from a mother plant. The biggest benefit is that you are guaranteed a female if cloning a female.

I think some visa agents used to be able to take your passport and do the border run for you for a fee. Presumably by greasing the appropriate palms. In that case an METV would probably work. Not sure if they are still doing that or not. Worst case is they can't and you have to do the border run yourself. Not sure how hard the METV is to get these days. Taking the rules at face value it sounds like they want to know your entire itinerary before hand on each exit/entry, which sounds like a big PiTA to me. Unless they don't really expect you to have all those details ahead of time but ask for it anyways and will still approve it.

You also have to show proof of accomodation for the entire time. Some guys claim they only needed to show a first night reservation but I think that can vary depending what embassy/consulate it goes through. My consulate seems to want me show it for the whole time. You also need to get your ticket BEFORE applying so if they reject it then you are stuck with a 60 day return ticket you will most likely need to pay more money to change. You also lose the money you pre-paid for the visa application. Too many question marks for me so I am probably just doing the 30 day waiver and extending when I get there.

They will. It started out expensive in Canada too. Took a couple years but prices are fairly cheap now. Everyone is allowed to grow their own too soooo.
