    Why Bumrungrad Hospital instead of a visa agent? If you ever do have to go into immigration for something, could they not look at the entry/exit stamps in your passport and check your 90 day reporting history? Unlikely they would do that without good reason, but still possible. If it's only a 2000b fine and nothing else, I would probably be willing to take that chance.

    Phi Phi was covered in trash when I went there around 2001. The tsunami apparently washed a lot of the garbage out to sea, so I guess it was fairly clean for awhile after that. Sounds like it's back to being a trash heap again.

    I am starting to look at other places now because I just can't take the traffic anymore. I am actually starting to prefer Bangkok again because of the transit system. Can be busy at times, but you can always count on being able to get somewhere within a predicable amount of time. Easier than Pattaya to travel around to other places from there.

    The outside reminds me of a prison. Some renovated units might be ok inside, but the hallways are filthy. Noisy beerbars on the ground floor. Pool area is often busy, water usually looks kind of dirty. You couldn't pay me to stay there. Yes a lot of units are fairly cheap, and for good reason.
