Iphone 11 max plus if you want her to love you
If under 20,000 baht, love turns into "strong like"
and if under 10,000 baht, expect to be hated for life
Kids are super expensive. 30,000,000 baht for their lifetime if you really provide for them (school, everything.)
Money is nothing when compared to the smile you kid gets when you give him an iPhone 11 max plus.
lol
hand him/her two cups with a string.

Everyone is triggered because:
1. They have been here for 200-years, drank a billion beers but only know one Thai word which they say incorrectly.
2. Finally they can fight for their language
3. They will take their 20 baht somewhere else.

The positions change daily. Last year Bangkok was #1 on a few occasions. It's peak smog season, so being 8th isn't so bad.
According to many websites, the PEAK season is many, many weeks away.
In two months these numbers will be 892343284 x 10 to the power of 12

Yea, it's funny. UNLESS you own a business.
Hey boss, 65% of our money comes from the farangs.
Boss, "Go insult them and make them feel welcomed."
"Don't bite the hand the feeds you," the Thai guy said.
Boss, "What????? Speak Thai!!!!"

It's a risk, and one that should be taken into account. For many it's a risk worth taking or less important than countless other health risks and unhealthy activities. Fortunately the risk in Bangkok is nowhere near as serious as the air pollution found in London in the 1950s. Modern city life is generally unhealthy for many reasons. Exaggerating the risks and using hyperbolic language doesn't help.
Yes, it's not as dangerous as 70 years ago, or 100 years ago, or 5 billion years ago; however, that doesn't mean I should go to Iran because it's safer than North Korea. LOL. Or eat glass because it's less harmful than eating a grenade. LOL. come on....
BUT BUT , sorry I missed the part about medical reasons. Yes, BKK is very affordable relative to other countries and I wish the OP the best and I'm sure you will buy the real masks in your home country.
Now back to the other guy.....LOL.....I wasn't being that hyperbolic, since BKK really is one of the most polluted cities in the world.
Side note: I get my lungs xrayed once a year and they are fine; however, especially when older, you might have to start taking inhalers and pills as it's much more difficult to fight the "demon's breath" which can kill all living things if 1 part per 1 zillion is within 100 kms of you. That's hyperbolic!!!

Car 1,000,000
House 2,000,000.
Possible, but probably very few own a house.
So car 1,000,000, Phone 40,000, School Loans, 100,000, Family got 1,000,000 and buying <deleted> from Lazada....860,000

I promise I will try to ask in a very, very polite way.
Please research the damage all this VERY HIGH amount of pollution can do to your kids and unborn child. This could be life-changing. Is going to BKK really worth it?
I wish you the best, please research pollution. This isn't your normal amount of pollution, this is some of the MOST TOXIC IN THE WORLD

You plan a short-term trip, round-trip plane tickets for only a few months. Then she will be happy since she knows she's coming back. However, while you are in Pattaya, sell the house ASAP, transfer the cash to your offshore bank account and give her 200 baht for some good somtam. But, really, she might realize Thailand is where her heart is......but remember to buy 10 burn phones. I have 18.

LOLOLOLOLOL. Someone from UTAH is trolling?? Dude, you are at ALTITUDE, with wind, and Utah is NOTHING like Chiang Mai. You know this, but maybe you forget since you are breathing good air. The same with all of Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho...go anywhere near this guy and you MIGHT get one high reading and act like it's the same as CM. LOLOL. Sure, we post 250, but we are sleeping in 150. Every day, every week, for months. This is not UTAH.
hilarious.

I agree 100%. If you ever see a girl in a bar being exploited or drinking too much, I must step in!!!! If i see corruption during a traffic stop, I act!!! If I see someone burning something, I take action!!! If I see bad products being sold, I protest!!! If I see any type of reckless driving, I spring to action!!!!

There are two approaches to life:
- Spend your best years preparing for a comfortable retirement by staying in your home country and making work your priority.
- Insofar as funds allow, travel the world and experience life when you are at the age when you can most enjoy it.
No and Yes. Can you tell all of us which AGE we are at when we can MOST enjoy it. In our 20's from a rich country? Well, we would have the energy to enjoy it but lose out on bonding with friends back home and going back home with a massive insecurity (I"ve seen this a lot). Or in our 20's and 30's trying to explain everyday to people why we are traveling and most have no identity and no past career and no respect for themselves and they are simply losers traveling.
Nobody has this answer, but I would say you are much better off traveling in your 40's. You had a career, you have money, you have confidence, and of course you can enjoy it. if you are fit at 30, you will be fit at 40.
I'm talking about staying here for 6 months or more. Yes, he can teach English as a non-native speaker, which means he will be further disrespected by many people at school comparing him to a native speaker. He will also be paid much less. From a pride point-of-view, I can't imagine this pleasant in your 20's. or ever.

So now you can't drink the water, breath the air, and eat the toxic food.
"Up to 41% of popular vegetables and fruits sold at fresh markets and supermarkets have been found to contain toxic chemical residues above the safe level, according to an annual food test by the Thailand Pesticide Alert Network (Thai-PAN)". From BKK Post.
That's impossible, I see soo many vegans who say Thai produce is the best. They take selfies with apples and mangoes and walk past the bar girls in the pollution next to the elephants and yell, "durian!!" when you live on the "cheap," expect stuff to be bad. Of course we would pay an extra 10 baht for safety, but nobody else would.

TOP 10 Wanted means there are at least 10 criminals not caught. Yes, most don't shoot in a mall with 1,000 CTV cameras and escape, but people do escape.
Of course if this guy was "smart" he would be out of the county with 100 million Baht in offshore accounts underground in a sealed bunker with food for 100-years and a private helicopter and ... blah blah blah.... funny how all TV posters can catch everyone like CSI on TV.

10-years ago two farangs didn't want the other to see them going to their favorite "shop." Farangs also don't like farangs to ruin their Thailand experience with the locals, which means going to 7-11. 10-years ago the food was served on some sketchy plates, and strange oils used. The love was never really there, and it's always there. It's YOU, possibly. I wear a shirt that says, "I like beer, I'm a sexpat and I no know Thai language i no have money." Really, other people are the same, except in CM where they aren't as nice as before IMO (and it's probably ME). Everywhere else, very nice.

I was expecting an aggressive Thai, but the Thai guy appeared (who knows the backstory, if there is one) submissive and there is no need to attack a guy not willing to fight.
NOBODY will remember it was a Brit. They all know farangs from every country has gotten in trouble, and it's impossible to remember them all.
unless a farang shot that kid. Then it won't be forgotten.
I would love to blame the pollution, since it does cause aggressive behavior, but I've been on that rant long enough.

HAHAHAHAHA.......I'm some religious freak because I use hyperbole (?) and remind people that polluted air is bad for them. And these people are reading about polluted air in their "dream" city and getting even more triggered because they don't want to believe what a child knows....inhaling smoke isn't good for you. doing it often will have negative effects. Living in a toxic place is bad for you mentally and physically and it's a waste of money. Worst retirement ever. haha.
Yes, I'm your father saying, "didn't we raise you properly? you spent your whole life saving for the "dream" retirement and now you wear a mask (or should) and spend all day hoping the AQI levels drop below 300." I'm saying you are an adult, it's your choice, and I got out. Well, sort of...I'm dealing with levels around 80. It's bad, I'm an idiot. But I got out. You can too.
Things are about to get much worse.....February and March. Enjoy!!!!

Yes, that Solemeni guy killed thousands....he needed to be put down before the number got much bigger. People are in Iran, it's dangerous. Canada is like the step-child America never needed but will likely take care of it forever, since the roles will never reverse. Iran is full of drugs and terrorists, let's not forget the danger there. Canada needs to act strong against Iran, and trying to blame Trump is like trying to blame America for trying to take out Hitler but only after he killed around the world.

Well, the post above me makes me question the Universe.....BUT...
for everyone else. When on overstay, don't panic. it is what it is...so just be professional, take care of it ASAP and of course another country won't reject you. This isn't a criminal record, they don't care. UNLESS you are tying to get a visa in a country like Australia, then I think a prior overstay will reject you. But forget all that, one step at a time. Flight, pay, go to another SE Asian country. move on. The OP's post last year is confusing. lol. but this is Thailand.

?????????????
Most would never go there if they weren't forced to get that money.
Doesn't mean it's good for them. I'm sure it's not

This dumb lady would rather be an "influencer" on social media than in the Royal family. The epic breakdown is happening, and soon she will be begging for more and more attention. This guy picked the wrong one.

and you had a chance to protect your lungs, but you stayed

This ones for the married guys, are you still happily married ?
in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Posted
I don't think I'll ever understand marriage, but we all have our different perspectives - shaped by our own experiences.
1. Money. I'm not supporting another human just to be my friend
2. The fun part gets old after MONTHS, so see Number 1. You become friends and then have kids to just to be "important".
3. Freedom. I don't want anyone having a say in what I do, and If I say NO too many times I lose my money and have less happiness.
I'm all for lots of friends, lots of fun, get some pets as well, sure go teach kids and smile.....
but marriage? LOL
it's just not for me
