I'm thinking this lowlife continued his behavior here, seeing it's not easy to stop when you're a sexual predator. The police there said, no matter how long you hide, we will find you. They didn't find him. He came back, maybe to atone for his sins when he's too old to worry about jail? He obviously had either money and or connections to stay here. Renewing a passport at his embassy would have surely had him detained, so he might have had a fake one before he came here.

There are many things that contribute to poor digestion. Alcohol, spicy foods, onions, and other foods can hurt some and not others. I had(have) trouble with some things and have always eaten healthy. I had h pylori here and pretty much thought I did before going to the doctor here. he gave me a prescription for antacids and antibiotics, which stopped it fast. Since then, I've been trying to figure out what causes the symptoms. They happened back in Texas 6 years ago, and I thought it was coffee, which is something I stayed away from for most of my life. I tried stopping coffee and it still happened at times. Here, it's gotten worse. I thought IBS, because it does just come on . Even though I eat foods that aren't bad for you,I do have some spicy foods here. It comes and goes and my daughter recommended collagen, which I always thought about but never tried. It started helping pretty fast, although it still goes back and forth with the symptoms. I now eat bananas, along with the usual toast and rice recommended in the Brat diet change. Pickles, sauerkraut, kimchi and yogurt, along with probiotics, are also good for your stomach. Reflux can be if you're eating and or drinking late at night before bedtime. Process of elimination can help you, although a doctor checking you, meaning a GI doctor, is always a good choice.

Foreigner Questions Thai Dowry: Netizens Respond
fredwiggy replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Maybe because they love the person they choose? Remember they are thinking the same thing. Why should I get an old man when I can have a young one? Simple. Money rules over many decisions, especially in poor countries. Young doesn't mean innocent. It's how and who they were raised by that shows how a woman treats her future men. More baggage can comes from a hurtful childhood than having a child before you appear. -

Everyone I know and have ever heard about has paid, as long as she's not had children previously. Then it's up to the individual. Farangs aren't exempt. Some are cheap, even though they'll get the money back. Giving it saves face for everyone. It's their way, although because of greed, many abuse it. -
Foreigner Questions Thai Dowry: Netizens Respond

Do this somehow make her exempt from being a good wife? That would mean a virgin is a guarantee that you will marry a good woman? If you're above the age of a teenager's thinking, you should know by now that you never know how a marriage will work out because the only way it will happily for both, is that both are on the same page as far as their future together, agreeing on kids, finances, place to live, work, how to argue constructively and communication, which is what it's all about. People get married after a week, and stay together forever, and marry after dating 3 years, and divorce in a week. Only guarantees you have in life are that you'll die. -

Foreigner Questions Thai Dowry: Netizens Respond
fredwiggy replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I gave a small sinsod and it didn't matter to me at the time, because I loved her. Traditionally, Thai's want a sinsod to show that the man can take care of their daughter. It's supposed to be given back to the couple after the ceremony but in my case, and many others I hear about, the mother in law keeps it. Simply greed. It doesn't have to be given if the girl has had children before. My girlfriend's son is engaged to his girlfriend and the grandma and mom want 250,000, which he nor his mom has. It's extortion of sorts, because they plan to keep it themselves, and won't allow the marriage unless it's paid. He's 20 and she's 19, which means they can marry anyway. I told my girlfriend not to sweat it. They have a year to come up with the money, and if they're still together (chances are they won't be) then they can decide themselves what they want to do. They don't need permission. Again, it's only greed that fuels this. Nothing wrong with coming up with whatever amount they can afford, as long as the couple gets it back. After all, this being a society of many poor people, the couple will need this starting a life together, and the grandma and mom taking the money is a selfish act.- 259 replies

Thai man’s arm severed outside liquor store after smoking dispute
fredwiggy replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
The story is vague and misleading. You can see in the video it's a machete he attacks with. The guy was waiting behind the car to pounce. -
Lived in Texas from 1985 to 2018. San Antonio area. There are quite a few good burger places but the two chains that were okay was In and Out and Carl's Jr.

White Castles are the cheapest burgers around. They of course don't compare to a real home made burger but when I pass a White castle I will definitely buy a bag.

I have enjoyed my time in Thailand, but...

Yes, crime is more common in the US, but Thailand is still up there as far as many crimes are concerned. Intentional homicides here is higher than the US.The murder rate is higher. Most of the gun crime in the US involves gangs and suicides. The mass shootings in the US are a big reason the crime rate is higher. Thailand hasn't caught up with the US as far as that's concerned, but it's rising. Again, I was a white man going into black neighborhoods many times, and no trouble. As far as safer of not getting randomly beat up, Thailand is way ahead on that. Cowardice is huge here, with many boys without fathers getting in groups that are consistently ganging up 5 against 1, many times kicking while down, using sticks and knives. This does not happen back home besides the gangs against gangs crime. People break into others homes here all the time, just like in the US. Here because of poverty, there because of greed. People treat animals badly here, which is a precursor to treating people the same. In the US, people really love animals and see them as family. Here it's obviously not the case, and it's been said many times, you can judge a country on how it treats it's animals. I am in no way downplaying the crime in the US. I'm simply pointing out that's it's very high here, and will much less enforcement and more corruption going on, it will only increase. Locals seem to have a very short fuse before exploding in violence, as can be seen in another post, where someone came back to a shop after being told not to smoke in the front, and cut the owners arm off with a machete. I will always feel safer back home than here. This is also a major reason I will bring my daughter to the US to live. Girls and women here are secondary at best, and that's not what I want for my daughter. Just a little on stats..........https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_in_Thailand -
Boy, 11, declines HIV test knowing partner’s positive status
fredwiggy replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Most men mature emotionally by the age of 25. Some take longer. I'm guessing you never had children so don't understand how fast they mature. I've had 6, and all, minus the 7 year old I have now who is still too young to consider, were very immature until their later teen years, almost 20. They made bad decisions regarding the other gender and it brought them big trouble, especially the girls. This after me trying to teach them what boys are looking for. Learning on your own is a teaching tool but you do learn the hard way. A boy at 11 knows nothing about girls besides what he's heard from other boys, unless he's been molested by someone or has seen his mother or father having sex and is curious. You don't have to know anyone personally if you know psychology. It is a study of human behavior. People all act alike in many ways. There are only a few personality types that all humans fall into. 16 to be exact. Being sexually active at age 11 is a major problem. Of course sperm isn't produced until puberty but the mental issues involved go deep if this is happening. -
Boy, 11, declines HIV test knowing partner’s positive status
fredwiggy replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
That's just it, he's not mentally capable of making a rational decision regarding having sex. This kind of warped thinking is why so many girls here have babies with young boys who will never stick around after the baby is born, which leads to a cycle of repeat again and again. Kids without dads suffer from many problems, one of them not knowing what to do with a girl besides have sex and leave. Future generations without responsible parents will make this world a whole lot worse. The breakdown of the family unit is a major reason it's been going downhill for so many decades. -

I'm thinking he was being facetious in his reply. The first encounter can mean a STD. Ray Gillen, singer from Badlands, died from Aids from being with a few groupies. Supposedly knowingly passed it on and a few caught it and one died. Never know when it will happen. -

And sometimes, and especially in this case, that boy doesn't have the mental capacity to make a rational decision as far as sex is concerned. Most of the blame is on the girl, the rest falling on the (absent?) parents. -
Same here and will try if I'm ever there. Best burger's in Sisaket are at Leo's and Hong Kong Garden.

Russian couple’s dine and dash attempt exposed in Phuket restaurant
fredwiggy replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
As history has shown, most of our world's troubles are centered around hate. Greed, lies, jealousy, misunderstandings all factor in this hate, and it's taught in childhood, by irresponsible, hateful and or abusive parents who do not know any better. -

Actually, I'm right. As history has shown, most of our world's troubles are centered around hate. Greed, lies, jealousy, misunderstandings all factor in this hate, and it's taught in childhood, by irresponsible, hateful and or abusive parents who do not know any better. How many Russians do you actually personally know? Maybe three or four? And you call all of them thieves because others have told you they are, by the actions of a few, or because you hate Russians because they have hurt you personally? I think you, and many others here, either do not care or don't understand that you yourself are being judged here, by those who aren't prejudiced, hateful, jealous, or ignorant. -
You asked if I was her sister, brother, son or something else. I gave you something else. I can see by her posts that she is knowledgeable on many things pertaining to health. As this is (was) my field, I can tell she's up on certain things regarding health, both physical and mental.

No, just another one that understands mental issues from reading up on them.

She does know that. This is why she said it usually responds well to CBT. Like Trichotillomania and others, it's a mental issue.

Russian couple’s dine and dash attempt exposed in Phuket restaurant
fredwiggy replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Again I'm really amazed at the ignorance shown here by those who are supposedly in their 60's and above. Goes to show people do not change their character after age 30. Judging a race or nationality because of the actions of a few, and in this case, two selfish, cheap thieves, is always wrong. I'm sure there are Russians on this forum that do not appreciate hearing this, and of course , there are many that hate many or all people different than their own. And we wonder why there are so many problems worldwide. I see one making a stupid remark, and worse, see others standing by them, instead of chastising them for their hate. Not all Russians want Putin in, and are afraid to say otherwise. The same goes for all disturbed but powerful leaders. Voters make mistakes, believing the lies the politicians say before election. A lot of smart Americans voted for Trump, but are slowly seeing the error of their ways. Sadly, many never will. -

True, he might not actually have contracted HIV from her but another STD or UTI.
