Thai Officials Announce "Innovative" Expat Health Measure

Then again, have them sit 2 meters away with separate sticky rice bowls and water cups. Only allow 4 people per back of pickup truck sitting on 4 corners. That was a major reason Thailand had so many deaths. Just when Covid arrived, I saw this as a precursor to a lot of people getting sick. I constantly warned my ex to stay away from others in her own family, and to use separate cups for water. Of course everyone got Covid, like most others in our village. I caught it at least twice using masks everywhere and staying away from others besides my family. My child went to school and the kids are probably the biggest spreaders of all diseases because they don't understand what stay away means. You can do everything right and all it takes is one person who doesn't and you get an epidemic. -

How does that explain the over 1 million just American Covid deaths? Along with the other western countries. Millions of people carried Covid but didn't get sick or had symptoms. Old news. -

It's your kind of moronic thinking that mirrors theirs. Anyone can carry a disease. Labeling Canadians as filthy is like them thinking we are dirty farangs. Quite the contrary, the reason so many got Covid here is because of the living conditions. They sit around, sharing sticky rice and communal water cups and wonder why they get sick. Drive 15 in the back of a pickup, all without masks. Lastly, masks help but very little. Targeting just foreigners and not locals coming in is prejudiced and disturbed thinking. -
Along with how much hatred towards his mother? It usually comes from an absent father situation, something which is very common here, and can be seen by the juvenile delinquency that happens. The mother becomes the only caretaker, and if she is overbearing, dominating and or abusive, the son looks for revenge. This man was seen chopping at the head when he was about to be captured, getting in some last hits at his mom before he was caught. ............https://www.vice.com/en/article/wd437q/why-did-a-son-behead-his-mother-on-long-island-1030 + + +

I was concentrated on my reply about women and I left out the former. Yes, things in religion are living in the past, and the world is suffering from the population, but that's what I meant in other topics when I said God knew exactly how we were going to outlive our habitat, making the earth a certain size and not bigger, like Jupiter. I think we were supposed to be here a certain amount of time, and by the look of how we are exhausting our food supplies, we aren't going to be here much longer. This is what I've believed for quite a long time. I saw how they were tearing down the Amazon a long time ago, and I know this forest was (is) there for a reason. The earth seems to be warming up faster than the scientists thought back when I was in high school, and that will come with many problems. There are things in the Bible which seems far fetched but who knows? Again, if God can make the universe out from his mind, he can make most anything else happen. People asked about the penguins swimming from Antarctica to the Ark. They didn't need to. They can spend months at sea, so they wouldn't have been affected. There isn't any way certain animals which are indigenous to America would have made it to where Noah's ark was waiting, but again, God can do a lot of things that are beyond our thinking. Walking on water? Turning a few fish into hundreds? Water into wine? Same.

I have enjoyed my time in Thailand, but...

A person who works out a lot looks like they can defend themselves, and can certainly do it much better than a person who doesn't. A coward that preys on people looks for someone they can get over on. Cowards, and they are cowards when they gang up 5 against 1, look for weakness. Like I mentioned, I spent 62 years in and around major cities in the US, and never had any trouble. I did get some looks that I felt might be someone looking at me as a person to rob, but it never happened. A smart person doesn't walk alone at night in any major city, period. That's asking for trouble. Even if you do it a hundred times, the next one can be the one. -

Again, I lived right near NYC, worked there, visited in a few times a month, and lived ,worked, and drove in all surrounding boroughs for 30 years. Then I moved next to San Antonio, another major city. I sold guns for many years, and knew a lot of policemen from those sales. I knew what was going on because I watch and listen, to the news and police stories, as well as all the people I knew in those two states. I didn't have any blinders on. I know what goes on , both here and still there by the news I get daily from both places. People watch the news and get paranoid, thinking there's going to be a shooting near them. I never saw one. Never heard any gunfire besides from myself hunting and at ranges. Of course it doesn't mean crime wasn't happening. Same as here, but these aren't normal situations here. This country leads the world in children raised by grandparents. Over 35% and rising. This means no dads usually, with moms elsewhere working. This kind of situation brings major trouble, with kids looking to their peers for what to do, instead of having a father teaching them restraint and respect for life. This is why I'm saying crime here rivals the US in many ways. Of course the population is much higher and there aren't near as many mass shooting here as the US, but that will rise also. You obviously didn't live there but just visited the US? I was there, daily, in Hispanic and black neighborhoods, and looking around, was the only white man around. I never had any trouble. Yes, I have been working out for 50 years, and that does bring some respect, but to a person who's mentally ill with a gun, that means nothing. Point is, they usually go after each other, meaning the gangs. Yes, people are robbed daily, here, there and everywhere, but you try not to look like a victim. Sometimes it doesn't matter, but it did never happen to me. I felt totally safe there, because I knew there weren't going to be a group of teens attacking me. It doesn't happen there, but happens here daily. I would not walk at night in any city here, especially any of the bigger ones, as teen cowards armed with weapons haven't the mental capacity to know what happens if someone fights back, and even fighting back can get you killed when it's 5 against 1, especially if they have guns. -

There's a lot more than just a bit. It's daily. Rapes, murders, beatings, gang crime, human trafficking, theft, property damage etc all day long. News doesn't travel here like it does back home. I lived in the US for 62 years, and rarely saw any crime, and I lived near major cities and rural all of that time. Bullying happens in every school, but bullies aren't getting away with it like when we were kids. Other kids are sticking up for the victims more, although bullying everywhere is a major cause of teen suicides. I lived next to San Antonio for 32 years before I moved here, and was around Hispanics daily, and in their areas, and they never gave me any trouble. I had many Hispanic friends. It's mostly gangs against gangs. Every major city worldwide has it's share of crime, New York as well as Bangkok, and it's usually the same things. gangs, "mafia", corrupt officials getting paid to look the other way in human trafficking, drug dealing and theft. I have friends and relatives in many states, cities and the country back home, and they say the same thing. They see it on TV but not in person. I actually worked in NYC for a year, along with going there to eat every month, and never saw anything besides rats as big as cats roaming the streets. Doesn't mean it's going without crime. There just is a lot more crime here than you and others think. You can google it anytime, and look up on Wikipedia what's happened here through the years. -
I'm not blaming a woman about getting pregnant. It happens from sex, and sometimes after the first time. I'd just like to see them get smarter about how men really are, what they're motives are, how much they will BS for the sex and to what lengths they will go. No condom, no sex. If a man loves you, he will wait, use a condom, and not pressure you. A woman giving sex for love isn't a smart thing. That's what I mean by getting smarter. Most men are not going to stick around after sex, and some that do will for a little while until they get bored. Many, especially here, won't stay after a child is born, another reason women should restrain until marriage. Yes, a woman looking for love will give her body to a man she thinks will stay. Generation after generations of parents have warned their daughters about how men are, IF they do their job, but what happens? Oh, he's so cute, I would love to have his baby, I think he could make a good father, husband etc. Statistics show this isn't the case. I've read hundreds of books and articles about women, how they think, what they need etc, and I still don't know it all and make mistakes because they look so good. Think about how few women read up on male behavior, at the teenage stage, when they're the most ignorant, and just follow what their dopey peers do. I've told my own daughters all about men, but they still made a lot of mistakes and were used, abused and dropped, all because they thought, "what does dad know"? Now they tell me, "I should have listened to you back then". But I'll still tell my youngest daughter, who's 7 now, the same things, and hope she gets it. Not to fear men, but to more understand why they do what they do, and that you can't trust many people in this world.

Woman apologises for provocative photos at Rama I monument

That doesn't sound right to me. Where do you get your "research" from? I would guess from what I've heard both in the news long before I moved here, and the comments on Thai forums, that Pattaya,Bangkok and Phuket has the most. Buriram is not a large city and without the amount of bars other large cities has. As far as a woman taking your house, that's not a prostitute but a greedy lower class female that's in every country, especially the poorer ones like this one. -

Thailand's crime rate is as high in some respects as most anywhere. You just won't hear about it on daily news here. I've walked the streets of NYC many, many times and never saw any hint of crime. This along with living near NYC for 30 years and San Antonio the next 32, both major cities. There are gangs here just like in the US. Human trafficking rivals any place on earth. You see daily here teenagers ganging up on another 5 against 1 all the time. You don't see this sort of thing in America. People use knives, machetes and sticks here to beat others, and this is another thing you don't see as much back home. Crime here has gone up and will continue to rise because enforcement is very lacking, and corruption is much higher here. I felt much safer back home than I do here, and I'm in the country here. -
Most of the world's problems are people going against God's rules and making up their own, narcissism, want for power, greed, and other mental illnesses. Religions have indeed made a lot of trouble, because people twist religion to fit their greed and power. A woman wanting an abortion for what reason? No husband or boyfriend that will stay? Not enough money to raise a child? That's the reason we have birth control and if women were smarter about men, the world would be in a lot better place. The woman who can't access decent health care is the governments fault. It is they who should foot the bill for all health care, through our taxes, just like Canada does. No reason all other countries can't do this, unless of course they really don't care about their people and only them and their rich friends having all they need. Scientists yes go by facts and evidence, along with educated guesses that aren't always right. Yes, there isn't any proof besides all of what I explained earlier about an existence of God. There isn't any way all of the world's wonders came to be from some kind of explosion. That's for people who have no faith and believe in what others have said because they for some reason trust them, meaning the scientists and others who explain God away. They also have no proof there isn't a God, or that the universe was created by a big bang, with no one behind it. I don't think God turned his back on us. I think he's just watching us self destruct and is close to coming and ending all of this disaster people have created. Trump to me is an ignorant, moronic example of what happens when someone is given a lot of money and has some people behind him helping him make more. People voted for him, some of my own family actually, because they think since he's a billionaire he should be a good president. He was one of our worst, and hopefully he just goes away soon. I saw him for what he was years before he became president, and sadly, some of my family, who I know are smart people, didn't.

It's not a threat. It's making them aware because once you're dead, you don't come back, although some believe you do. Like another said, and I was thinking about before he wrote it. What's so hard adding God to your life, giving you hope? It isn't brainwashing them to teach them that there is a creator and he wants us to follow his laws. Laws which make sense, all of them, even if you're not a believer, besides the first four, which deal directly with God. I only go by what I learned reading the Bible and other teachings. God wants us to believe in only one god, him, and not to put any false gods in front of him. Makes sense if he's the creator. Like I mentioned in another post, if there were these 100's of gods, you would certainly see a competition of sorts, a pissing contest if you may, with them trying to one up the other to show who's the better god. Like Greek mythology, where they were at odds with each other. God has us rely on faith, which is why he doesn't show himself until we meet him after we die. If there isn't a God, how did the universe come to be? I don't believe everything scientists say as I'm not gullible. They get paid for research, and are right about things and some others are guesses, theories, whatever. Muslims might contradict some things in Christianity, but they still believe in one God.

Judging a whole "race" by a few individuals? That's actually being prejudiced against even people of your own nationality or country. Doesn't work well when you need friends. Most will never find real friends here.

I used to work for a few gyms that had pools, and you really don't want to swim in them nor use the hot tubs. many reasons including someone who doesn't know how to regulate the chemicals, hundreds of people going in the pool after exercising, mold growth from a humid, closed environment, Cryptosporidium and other germs. I have seasonal allergies in every place I live. I lived in New Jersey, the Garden State, and stayed there until I left at 28. I was allergic to some things there but was never checked. When I moved to Texas, I went to a few allergy places that did studies. I found out I was allergic to cedar (juniper), thistle, dogs, cats, deer(which I hunt), mold, some trees and others. Most were mild besides juniper, which hits thousands hard every year. Testing is the only real way to find out, and avoid, what is giving you problems. It can be simple things in your home, like mentioned, or a seasonal thing. Like spidermike mentioned, air here has been bad for a very long time, and will only get worse until some politician starts having respiratory problems and decides to enforce the burn laws. Here's a link for the gym pools............https://www.cdc.gov/healthywater/swimming/swimmers/rwi.html

Actually, it's as far from ridiculous as it could be. People need to repent of their sins, know they were wrong, and ask forgiveness, just like any other relationship. In this case, God created everything, including humans, and gave them a choice. Believe in who created you, or put false gods in front of him, or deny there is any God. Your choice, free will. Good deeds are great, but he has his rules, which makes sense because he created everything and knows us better than we do. If there is a God, what's more important? Treating others well and forgetting your creator, or treating others well, and believing in him? God, if he has indeed created everything from just his mind, surely can do much more, including knowing your heart. Hypocrites can't fool God. Believing in God and then doing whatever you want, including hurting others, isn't how he wants us to live. We all sin, but some of us have a conscience and don't like our own actions. Doesn't take much to believe that we were created and didn't just happen by chance, which means we have a creator, and if so, that entity is in charge.

Do you have proof of this? No? Then your opinion means nothing, so it's best to keep your doom thinking to yourself, because those who believe , believe otherwise.

Actually anyone having sex without some form of birth control is stupid in a way. If you don't want the girl (woman) to get pregnant, and don't want the responsibility of a baby, use birth control. If she doesn't, you do. Pretty simple, and the world's population would decrease tenfold. Teens, and some adults, have a lot of trouble saying no. Yes, the woman has the power so to speak, because stopping a man when he's charged up isn't easy, but it's in her hands as far as allowing someone all the way. -

I know that would usually be the best choice but I had to live here, and do, at least until I get my daughter out of here. I couldn't leave back then with my daughter because she was too young to consider taking her. I know what she did with her two previous daughters and know it's only time before she gets to be a burden she won't want. She knows my daughter will go to the US, it's just about when, and that has to be in less than three years. I'm not afraid of someone with a knife. A gun , yes. I just told her to put it away the first time. Her sister got in between us the second and the same the third time as the first. It seems to happen alot here, them going for cutlery. You see it almost daily on the news, either knives, machetes or sticks. I didn't pick well this time but my daughters future is a priority so I'm here for now. -
Many of the theories about how long ago things happened are theories, by scientists that might just be mistaken. It's possible. Only way we will know the whole truth is when we die, and you can ask God, if he lets you in, depending on if you believe in him or not.
