Because there is one alternative if you don't believe, and believers don't want to think of anything besides looking forward to going to a better place than this when we die. Solid evidence would be great but a God that lets us decide our fates, which is using faith, shows him more what we are made of. Not slaves but believers. If you wait too long to decide which path to choose, you might die first and come in front of God trying to explain why you turned your back on him, or the reasons you have for not believing, most of which were taught by other non believers you trusted.

I don't blame him, as I'm leaving as soon as I can get re-established back in Texas with my daughter. Thailand isn't a bad place but some people and things have made it unlivable. It's definitely not a good place for women or girls and this is one major reason I'll leave. Some seem to love it and if that's the truth, you can't take that away from them. It has to change a lot of things here before more move out, because America doesn't look at Thais like Thais look at Americans. There they fit in just like everyone else. As long as you don't break any laws, you're accepted, with the exception of a few prejudiced idiots that hate Asians. Not the same here at all. The beaches are beautiful, as long as they stop ruining them. The country is as boring as a place can be unless you are happy sitting around, mostly inside, and partying. The bugs are the worse I've ever seen, and I've been to Canada at ice out, so I know all about mosquitoes and black flies. The women are among the most beautiful on earth, but unlike western countries, where the women are more independent, you are looked at as an ATM by most. The food is great, but you can get great Thai most anywhere, and farang food you have to travel for unless you're in a big city. The women can be a good partner, IF she looks at you as a provider and not an ATM dishing out endless cash and gold to impress her "friends", of which most really don't have except to brag to and talk about behind their backs. Some of the locals here are okay with us, but many are not, and that's not a good thing to live around. I have had dogs and cats poisoned here by disturbed farmers that don't like my ex's family, or are somehow jealous for some strange reason I've never gave them. Some steal from my property when I'm not home, and that's not cool. I don't care if they ask for things because I know most are just getting by, by being sneaky shows a lack of respect for your neighbors. I would be out of here tomorrow if I had the means, as my daughter has to be in school in an English environment before she is 10 so she can adjust to the curriculum. Starting all over back home won't be easy, but it will be worth it. Good luck to you Bob if you're really leaving, as I understand what it's like to be in a place you don't feel comfortable and where you can't be yourself and enjoy your hobbies. No place like home.

One who doesn't like others gossiping about her like she's some prostitute. God made everything, so to me he has the power to make anything more, but chooses to be discreet so we go by faith. If there were many gods, they would be competing for attention, like politicians, and miracles would happen daily with their name on it. Just a thought.

I've lived in gyms for the last 50 years, with the exception of part time now here in Thailand because the gym opens at 2 PM and it's a tad inconvenient to go that late, with driving 30 kilos each way, although it's becoming necessary because that's the only choice I have. I trained people for over 16 years, and was in as good shape as anyone in those gyms, including many of the drug users. These clubs were in New Jersey and Texas, and most of them weren't cheap, with a few high dollar. Women like Bob describes were all the same as women everywhere else. They look for money and looks, or power in a man, with looks third for many. Women, no matter how intelligent, are still very naive about men. They look for the model types, although these types are the first ones to cheat on them because of their narcissistic attitudes. If I can have one 10, I can have them all. They're actually right because of this woman ignorance. They think these men will actually stay after sex, although most will, like most men, leave. It was hard for me to date many of them because I wasn't wealthy, although I had a much better body than those they chose who had more dinero. One example is Halle Berry, a woman I consider to be at the top as far as looks. She has been married three times, and her first two cheated on her. Stupid to me because if you have a 10, you do anything to keep her, as long as she's not nuts. No matter what gym you go to, this will happen. Most will ignore you if you try and start a conversation, unless you study them awhile and try and figure out what they like, just by appearing there and their habits, books chosen, music listened to, etc. But if you're well off, and you show it by your choice of clothes consistently, or they see you get in an expensive car, you have a better chance the average man won't. Look at the videos of gold diggers and you'll see the reality.

It will help us remember that all belongs to God; it will help us establish order in our finances; it will help us support the church; it will help us prosper. He could have made earth as big as Jupiter and it wouldn't be over populated beyond sustenance, which Earth is coming to quickly. People invented many gods but if that were the case they would all be in competition, and we would see evidence of this. Sometimes I hate him, but I know he's in charge. Earth has many things that are wonderful, and a lot of us enjoy them, although not for long enough, and some never enjoy them so to me that's wrong. Guess you never lived there. Is it somehow uncivilized to protect your family using any means, not taking sh*t from anyone, standing up for yourself and the rights of all, including women, standing up for other foreigners when they are trashed by ignorant, prejudiced child-like adults, or wanting peace by any means? I'm as far from gullible as you are from having a clue to what I am. I could last 50 years and more here if I chose to, but I will leave because it's not a good place to raise my daughter. I grew up in New Jersey, with a New York City area influence, and I'm thinking you don't understand what that means. It means we don't take sh*t from anyone, and always pay back those who have wronged us, no matter where we live. I learned all of the lessons I need in life in my first few years living there, and that's something you will never get. No, actually the worse thing is some officials looking the other way, or worse paid off while locals are involved in the trafficking of women, girls and boys for sex, and forced labor on fishing vessels. There aren't as many "scumbag, deadbeat foreigners" as you think, and crime is rampant here daily mostly on locals. Proof is and always has been there if you look, or aren't a brown noser that thinks sticking up for them brings you anything. Daily road deaths is also one of the worse things, as is how women and girls are looked at as inferior, due to generations of religious thinking. I could go on, but we aren't talking about negatives but worse things. As far as the OP's post, it seems he has a grudge against foreigners, but is one, which is pretty sad. Others have mentioned it's none of his business unless it affects him personally, and it doesn't. He wants to be a rat, and you do know what happens to people who rat. And supporting prostitution is illegal also, as others have mentioned, so tread lightly because some other farang might call the number on you.

Actually, all I've been in, which is most, didn't allow blocking others cars in or you'll be towed. My point is, it's not only illegal in most places, but stupid, as people blocking others in are inconsiderate and lazy. Someone might need to get into their car for an appointment or emergency and what happens when you can't find the owner and you can't push their car out of the way?

They are missing the point. Who hires them? In America, the migrants get hired by rich farm and ranch owners., and some to work as maids are gardeners in their homes. If they get fined big it would slow down. First offense, second offense higher etc.

Jealousy rears it's ugly head many times here. I look at people as all the same, no matter what they own or control. They are. No one is any better than anyone else except by the way they treat others. Being a country leader, king, queen, dictator, president or any other means nothing except that some voted you in or you took control by force. You aren't superior by any means, and many that are rich are there because they took advantage of others, over developed land, bought out people who were jonesing for cash, killed people in their way or did one of many useless jobs moving around money for other rich folk. When your religion says women are inferior, that makes a lot of women fear and dislike the male gender. When you are controlled all of your life by narcissists you learn to hate others, or fear them. If you can speak Thai well here, some look at you as invaders, thinking you will take their women away, when it's their fault they run. Some other nationalities are here for profit, using the locals any way they can. Human trafficking is huge here, which makes women look at all men as takers in some way, because they know others who are being taken advantage of. The more they know the real us, meaning the good farangs that aren't here to use but to take care of some, that like the lifestyle and want to stay, or that have children and want to take them back to their own country for a better life, the more they understand our motives. Bad farangs, users, takers, abusers etc are what makes the rest of us look bad, and in a nation known for gossip, this gets out everywhere, and some believe the lies because they trust the liars more than common sense and personal experience.

Yes, I read all of the posts of people I know here that are intelligent (based on what they say), and on topics that interest me. It isn't hard to read a few long paragraphs unless English isn't your first language, or you've learned it well enough to comprehend everything a long paragraph says.

True with some here, but a lot want to ,and do learn English. I help at an English school here and I've met a few teens that speak very good English. It's all about desire. My girlfriend speaks and understands English very well. Not perfect, but learning more each day. Those I knew in the US spoke very good English also, and some perfect.

Some people have their phones out all day long, looking for useless things to record, then post, to the many who like seeing people hurt, killed, tormented, abused etc. Normal people carry their phones to communicate to others important things. When things like this happen, those before mentioned people are the ones who record to post. Some are necessary, helping to catch people in the acts of hurting others. Most are just to post nonsense that only the bored will find interesting. I'm thinking Bob was talking to this woman and didn't think of shoving a camera in her face to show others how she was acting. He's an adult. It's usually the younger crowd who have their cameras at the ready. Maybe I'm wrong, but I keep my phone in my pocket unless it's needed to call someone.
