It used to be a not uncommon sight to see women urinating in public in Vietnam. They would hitch up their skirts and squat down.....but to save their embarrassment they would turn around to hide their faces......and present their back-sides for public view.

I ordered some items value 1300 baht from iHerb on 17th Sept selecting the cheapest 'local post' option and they arrived today 26th. About the 10th order of mine from Iherb and each one has arrived with no duty and within time.
Well done iHerb

Its not immediately obvious but if you click on the top date it can be changed without scrolling back 780 times. You may feel a little silly when you find it, lol
Thanks for that. Actually pressing on the date at the top does not work, but clicking on the year in small numbers above that does work. So silly!

There is no visa called a NON-RE so it makes sense that its not on the list
Tell that to the Immigration officers at the airport. I have an entry stamp with Visa Type NON-RE handwritten on it.

I have just returned from overseas and submitted my details on the Android Section38 TM-30 app. (previously registered with Username and password). Not sure if the following has been addressed before.
The details submitted OK but with the following 'problems'.
Date of Birth. There seems to be no way of easily inputting your DOB. there is a monthly calendar shown for today's month and year. So to enter my DOB I would have to swipe backwards 12 x 65 times i.e. 780 times to get back to 1953. I gave up and left this entry blank.
Visa type. I could not find a NON-0 or a NON-RE visa on the dropdown list. So I settled for NON-O 90 days
But my name and PP details are now recorded (minus DOB)

Just how dangerous is taking Ibuprofen when on blood thinners?
I am taking half a Lixiana (edoxaban) 60 mg tablet a day and have read about the serious warnings against taking anti-inflammatories including Ibuprofen. (Problems stem from internal bleeding).
I find that one or even half a tablet a day of Ibuprofen can give me substantial relief with joint aches and pains if I have been overdoing my exercise or walking too much.
For a generally healthy person is taking a small does really such a stupid thing to do when it can provide such benefits? Is it an acceptable risk?
Any opinions welcome.

A friend of mine sent 2 parcels to New Zealand by the cheapest surface mail route. They both eventually arrived after over 4 months. I doubt they were on the high seas for that time, or that NZ customs were unusually slow (normally takes about 5 days in NZ).
So one can only assume that the parcels were in Thailand waiting to be consolidated into a large container before shipping. Most people would choose the faster Surface Air Lifted, or airmail options.

Just measured on my balcony pm 2.5 reading 6.
I am located between Silom Road and Surawong Road so the air is exceptionally clean, after the rain? these days. A few months ago readings were between 25 and 50

The letter that the Trendy issues you is blank, you have to fill in the details yourself. But to prove that it is genuine (and not downloaded) it is lightly embossed with the Embassy seal.
And the old passport does not have its corner cut off until you receive AND
check the new passport. You are advised not to use the old passport for international travel while waiting for the new one. But not sure what the procedure is if you need to make an emergency trip.
And the whole process takes less than 2 weeks (in my case, and reported by others)

Go to the Piammitr Language School in the Trendy Building Suk Soi 13. Small, friendly, classes. One month, 20 days, 3 hours a day for 6,000 baht, morning or afternoon.
Evenings, weekend, and private lessons also available (higher rates apply).
I can recommend this school from personal experience.

Surely just a translation of your yellow book or ID would work. Just have the translation company stamp and sign it. I doubt that it has to be a notarised copy.
You may still have a problem with Thai bills in your name as even though your name is in English, parts of the address may be in Thai.

Apparently SPAM is hugely popular in Hawaii, nicknamed 'Hawaiian Steak'. Even McDs have it on their menu.
(Probably, coupled with high prices, another reason not to visit Hawaii)

Copy of the chanote worked for me at CW. This assumes that your name is on the chanote, although my name was rendered into Thai characters and is a very 'rough' transliteration.

Decent wine........................ we recently packed 4 bottles of good French reds @ £9 - £15 supermarket price.
Just don't get caught as you might lose it all. Only one litre of alcohol allowed duty free irrespective of alcohol content.

Pickling spices about one quid a small box. Easy to buy distilled white vinegar, dill and sea salt here, which with a small thimble full of pickling spices you can make your own pickled vegetables. So much easier to carry and cheaper than buying in the shops.

He did post some clips of his hair transplant experiences to combat a receding hairline. They were interesting.

All that sounds like you have registered to 90 days reporting.
The notify.residence system only ever replied me with one email that has username and password used to login to file TM30.Actually 2 emails (for me anyway). The first was asking me to confirm my email address (just had to click on the link attached). This arrived within an hour or so.
The second was the username and password. Took about 2 days.
But the document copies I enclosed were the same documents I produced when I made my first TM30 report in person at CW about 2 weeks earlier.
Without a username and password one is not successfully registered.

Although a slightly different situation but in Bangkok my on-line TM30 registration was accepted with just a copy of my Chanote (title deeds) and passport copy. No Blue book or Yellow book or House number, just my address. Although maybe there is a (Thai) number on the Chanote that they used. Also I own my own condo so maybe this will make a difference.

Just out of interest, how exactly did they manage to weigh the fish if they were not allowed to take it out of the water.
Another Eureka moment?

I read a few months ago that new X-ray scanners are being introduced at the airports so all check-in luggage can be scanned. Whether they will scan all incoming luggage also is something that was not stated. If they do be careful about bringing in all those extra bottles of expensive booze... as well as foodstuffs and pills.
