  1. Very likely. Ukraine was (at least before the war) one of the leading countries active in online fraud, crypto theft, and ransomware attacks.
  2. Trump never once brought up or plans to follow Project 2025, probably doesn't even know what it means. But the liberal media and Kamala kept lying and pushing it as Trump's plan. Show one bit of proof where he even mentions it. Any other left wing lies you'd like to bring-back?
  3. The Dems went down in flames on Tuesday. And you claim that every American will regard him as the greatest President ever? So Trump somehow changes from an "Existential threat", to needing a smooth transition of power. Either you are on mushrooms, or based-on your sentence structure, you are another Chinese disinformation crew. Reasonable people would ask themselves: So why did Nancy Pelosi engineer a coup to remove him from running for a second term if he was so capable? Patriot? Why would his 9 and 13-year old grandchildren need to have offshore accounts the transfer money through? In the great words of Mr T., "I pity da foo!"
  4. No sorrow for these saps. Smuggling weed to the UK? They could just operate a grow house in the UK or smuggle in from Holland. Just a slap on the wrist if caught. Instead, these two will be serving time in the LoS until their anuses prolapse.
  5. I think they did nothing illegal in Thailand beyond visa overstay and spending some of that stolen money. Sweden would be the country that wants to put them on trial and imprison.
  6. Nothing new or exciting. None of this "bulletproof" keto coffee. Butter coffee originated in Vienna over 200 years ago, been drunk ever since. Butter was added to give coffee a creamy flavor and texture, and probably to also hide the "sourness" of stale coffee when left out too long. To real coffee fanatics, coffee left out for over 15-minutes needs to be dumped because the oils begin to break down and sour.
  7. Manager or the hotel should have simply posted "To save from waste, toothbrushes will only be provided upon request" -like how every other hotel in the world shows how green they are. 20 baht toothbrush? Probably cost the hotel 7 baht. Personally, I always travel with my own toothbrush as hotel freebies are usually of inferior quality.
  8. Some of you appear to think that wealth makes a person honest. In fact, the wealthier the background, the more they need to steal to maintain the lifestyle they are accustomed to.
  9. 10 times the offer still wouldn't be enough. This student (no idea the injuries to the girl) has had life-changing injuries which will likely require a lifetime of care & therapy for his skeletal damage and unknown future problems from his fractured skull and damaged liver. In all likelihood, he won't ever be able to be a physical therapist and may become a burden to his parents for the rest of their lives and longer. His compensation should cover current medical care, future medical care & therapies, compensation for inability to work, reimbursement for 4-years of wasted college, AND then penalties due to the drunken driver. 200,000 baht is ~ US$6K. As pointed-out, the plastic fender cover on the Porsche would cost more than that. For a Thai college-educated lifetime income + medical expenses, at least baht 10-15 million. I wonder if the police would be more helpful if they were offered a share of the settlement.
  10. Oh no, no, no. Betelnuts contain alkaloids, the same ingredient found in coca leaves grown in South America. It is a stimulant and euphoric, and when processed, becomes a product called cocaine. I've chewed betel nut before for kicks and no, it is nothing like smoking weed.
  11. ??? Do you not know how scammers & fraudsters behave? They cover themselves in the trappings of (stolen) luxury in order to attract others into their schemes. Everybody wants wealth and be seen hangin' with celebrities. It is this material greed that causes people to not think clearly.
  12. More likely because she had gotten away with thieving in UK shops that she felt she could do the same anywhere. Too bad she wasn't visiting Singapore.
  13. Yep. Here in Silicon Valley where there is YUGE Indian population, things like this happens quite often unfortunately. A Indian male will try to stop a woman on a walk or jog, engage in some stupid conversation and then try to kiss her -or immediately go for her breasts. Some dumbshyte tried it on my married neighbor who ran screaming back home, and the police found him down the block trying the same to another woman. Turns out that he'd been molesting women all morning.
  14. Hezbollah - 7/11, no difference. I think they are run by the same people.
  15. You just want to add another layer of bureaucracy to an already overwhelming bureaucratic system. When has that ever helped, anywhere? The sad state of Thai attitudes is because they have had to endure a lifetime of burdensome rules, which everyone knows they can ignore.
  16. Oh, now I get it! You're looking for what we call "koozies" in the US. And I had thought this was going to be a thread about "girth"
  17. Unfortunately, just useless blather as there is never enough traction for real changes, which would require a nation-wide change of attitude and a multi-year campaign of education with actual enforcement of traffic laws. Save the Children will hopefully get lots of airtime, plenty of donations while this gets swept under the rug when the "next emergency" comes along. I have gotten cynical.
  18. When I go out, I just want it to be a surprise. Someplace comfortable, and definitely not while sitting on the toilet.
  19. Message sent... ... and definitely received. No use for any of us to get involved.
  20. Thailand? I thought you were listing conditions in the UK.
  21. Nobody said he was operating the bike. Looks like the accused is riding away on a moto-taxi.
  22. Just a cunning excuse for her boyfriend! Look at how skinny she is, staying afloat at sea for 7-hours with minimal body fat? See how she and Mr. Squidman are holding hands. Notice Mr Squidman is wearing his favorite T-shirt and lucky Speedo. Just friends? -I think not! These 2 snuck out to sea for some passionate love-making and lost all sense of time. Realizing that she needed to explain where she was all day, they quickly came-up with this "washed out to see, lucky to be rescued excuse".
  23. Translation: Things were proceeding quite well with Thailand's Automated Entry System until someone realized that this would put a lot of bureaucrats out of work.
