Kodi in itself is a really good media manager.
Forgot Kodi as soon as I started using Plex. Of course my need was strictly for a media server.
And don't ask me where these media come from.

Can inequality in Thailand get any worse?

I refrain from getting involved in anything of that kind as, for all the years I have spent here, Thailand has made it loud and clear that I am not "one of them". So, my "generosity" will be limited to a close circle and my home countries.

Use these two years to turn it what it should have been for the past 50 years: a decent family resort for the hard working Bangkok people to spend their weekends.

The public he adresses mut be utterly dumb if no one points out to him the obvious disproportion between the restrictions that have to remain in place and the daily COVID figures published by HIS MoPH.

T.I.T under a military government. COVID management is about T.T.T (Test, Track, Treat). They amazing military geniuses have saved us from the pandemic with .T. (blank, TRACK, blank).

Why on earth would you not be allowed to swim in the sea?
I thought you could, provided you were wearing a mask.

Had a brief conversation with my wife; asked her if she could see the disproportion between the lockdown measures and the COVID figures published in Thailand. Her answer was: "of course love, but this is a military government whose dream has always been to put the country into shackles. Now they can do it without any restraint, so it will last".

Yep, it has been confirmed on the most prominent English written Thai Newspaper's website that International scheduled passenger flights won't resume before May 31. This makes a great deal of sense as there is an apparent disparity between the COVID situations in Thailand and that of most other foreign countries. Thailand is right in protecting itself from COVID cases import. Protect the investment in sacrifices made so far par the Thai people.

The only thing I can suggest is to be protect your eyesight: don't dzsherk off too much.

If these figures were true, they should be considered as equivalent to zero as there is no room to do any better with the (in)existing means of prevention and treatment . Therefore it is time to remove restrictions progressively while leveraging the progress in the medical field to keep the numbers at this lowest level. European countries will do just that while having hundreds, if not thousands, of cases a day.

I couldn't imagine myself eating out wearing a mask, I need to see my wife's and girl's happy faces, need to feel the breeze on my face, need the smell of my food and nearby sea. So as long as masks are enforced in restaurants I'll stay home. I only reluctantly cover up for sex but I will not spend leisure money in any area where these stupid pieces of cloth are enforced.

it is double lines ie no crossing over them, if the truck driver is incapable of driving and going round the corner without going over them and fully into the opposite lane he should not be driving at all, the corner is not that sharp that he needs to do it but as most thai truck drivers are absolute morons on the road it is expected they will do as they please, this is why they cause so many accidents. The truck driver should be fined heavily for what he did and lose his licence if he even has one as should the car driver, the truck did not have room, did you see all the cars that had to move to allow him to do it, problem is these idiots have no patience at all and simply do as they please because they know the police will not do anything to them or even be out on the roads
Ohh man, could we just settle this by saying that the truck driver is incompetent and the car driver is Thai.

So only "Street food", don't think I've ever eaten in a "non-air conditioned" place in Bangkok. Sad joke again, I am sure there are places with AC systems that produce an air much safer than outdoor Bangkok.

If you asked me I'd say there was a distinct chance that a place like Nana Plaza will never reopen. With bar operators struggling to pay rents the owner of the place could well prefer to sell out to some luxury condo developer. Which would be perfectly in line with what has happened in the area (from soi 10 down) for the last 10 years.
Cowboy being a soi, would probably more resilient and become something like the Amsterdam RLD with upmarket Gogos instead of windows. Don't know much about Pattaya, but it could also shrink back into Walking Street.
As far as the girls are concerned those who want to stay in the trade shouldn't have any problem to adjust to the On Line trade.

All these (too) early bold announcements of vaccine breakthroughs are merely fund raising initiatives. Don't expect any vaccination before 2022. Let's hope other prophylactic means are identified, that treatment protocols improve and that the refinement of social distancing rules will allo the economy to restart.

IIRC when they were still publishing backlog, somebody counted 400-600 persons tested per day and they might have had multiple tests. The PUI increased by 1,840 yesterday, so PUI count is growing faster than their testing capacity.
142,589 is the total number of tests performed so far in Thailand; which indeed gives us a daily average below 1500, while most countries of similar size perform or target 100000 daily tests in order to lift some lockdown restrictions.
Now, it is admitted that, in the short/medium term, the only valid COVID mitigation strategies will be based on "Test and Track", seems that Thailand is (still?) weak on Test and rather good on Track.

Nope, the COVID figures shown here will become credible only when the the number and the nature of the tests carried out in each province will be given. Remember: "test, test and test".
Having less than half a million of tests a week in Thailand is like filtering water with cobble stones. Successful containment is based on "Test and Trace", tracing seems to be effective here but becomes meaningless with inadequate and/or insufficient testing.
