  1. I have a bill from a Thailand education authority i have to pay. It's for around 20,000 Baht.

Sitting infront of my laptop, what are the easiest ways to send money? Do i need to mess around with I.D. and sending information? Looking for something quick and easy.

May send funds from my credit card for some protection.

  2. Does the UK have ample access to drugs like Remdesvir ?

I know the US bought up alot of stocks, and the EU has paid massively over the odds to secure some 30,000 doses. I was suprised they could only secure such a low amount.

The UK response has been a fiasco throughout this, especially when they had the debacle of securing PPE for health workers. It wouldn't surprise me if they had little to none of this medication, and are too late to the party.

Once again the media aren't really pushing the government on these tough questions.

    STILL CONFUSED.

So today mainland Europe record around 19 deaths in total. POPULATION OF ABOUT 741 MILLION.

But UK records nearly 100 DEATHS. POPULATION ABOUT 67 MILION.

This is disparity is so bizarre. Why is the UK suffering so badly STILL.

UK record 10 deaths in hospitals. So where are the 90 deaths happening? It just goes on and on, why are people dying outside of hospitals? If they are ill why are they not being bought to hospitals?

I still can't get answers, even from experts i follow on twitter !

What's so confusing is that the number of cases is lower in the UK than Spain, Germany, France and has been for almost a month now - but those countries are reporting low single figure deaths.

They must be letting people die in care homes i guess. Although no one brings this up in the media or asks questions.

Anyone else know where people are dying if not in hospitals? And why such a large volume of people?

Like I said, the test is unreliable and testing is extremely limited in the UK.  I don't know a single person that has been tested in the UK for C19.  I would doubt the results anyway.

He doesn't know anyone whose been tested which means no one has been tested.

Great logic. However, the UK has the highest testing rates in all of Europe. It's the exact same test being used in the USA, France, Germany and Italy.

  5. I don't get anything wrong with the thrust of what he is saying.

It's vital they keep the tourist infrustructure going and supported until as such time there is a vaccine/effective treatment for tourism to reopen.

Without support these hotels, attractions, shopping, nightlife, restaurants would all close down. Thus it would be a double blow when tourism does finally open, there will be a reduced 'load'.

Many western countries are doing similar things to protect vital sectors of economy. The UK just announced the government will pay half your meal on weekdays. France are also encouraging domestic tourism with goverment giveaways.

  6. It wouldn't surprise me if this lot quarantined Thai's on an island far far away, so the Chinese can visit.

Mass Chinese tourism has destroyed the beauty of Thailand, made a few middle men rich, but done nothing for tourism - with most money going abroad back to China.

The exploitation of Thailand by China is disheartening.

Put back visa restrictions on them. Make them provide a health certificate on arrival, along with a covid test, and isolation for 3 months before they can be set loose.

One is Netherlands, one is France. Explain situation, difficult.

Have other same, Italy, UK, Germany etc

No, the doctors refuse meet them.

Refuse enter hospital. Give them paracetamol only.

Tell them go home= there house in Europe. Must take care themself. Terrible.

Read my post, I not say the doctor said “go back to Thailand”.

    But

Australia say that before to thai students. I remember.

“As much as it’s lovely to have visitors to Australia in good times, at times like this, if you are a visitor in this country, it is time—as it has been now for some while, and I know many visitors have—to make your way home and to ensure you can receive the supports that are available where they are in your home countries,” said Morrison. “At this time Australia must focus on its own citizens and its residents to ensure that we can maximize the economic supports that we have,” he said.

    You really do talk rubbish.

There will be no Thai citizens in USA or Europe who have been refused treatment, testing or help.

In the UK and Netherlands they tell you wait till you get serious before bringing you into hospital. In some countries (correctly) you come into hospital straight away.

BUT AT NO POINT IS ANYONE WHO IS ILL IS REFUSED TREATEMENT. Even in the USA, where health insurance is a controversial topic, they will treat anyone with covid free. Please don't talk utter rubbish.

    Agree.

But, thai help together. In USA, Europe many thai die already. Is difficult get help, doctors give para and say “go home, take care yourself”.

If they not care thai people, we must care them.

    Must be quickly.

    Utter nonsense.

If you live in the USA, Europe, for all their flaws their health systems would not tell Thai citizens to 'go home and take care of yourself'. It is in their interest to get you tested so you don't have the virus and spread it. If you are ill, even without health insurance they will treat you for Covid.

Give me ONE example when a Thai citizen in the USA or Europe has been told to go home. You won't find any, so don't sprout nationalistic nonsense.

There has been no known case in the USA or western Europe where someone has been ill and a test refused - not since the outbreak really broke out.

You could easily get a FREE test in the USA or Europe. You could pay for a test also.

Do away with quarantine and people will start going back to Thailand and if people have done a covid test and its negative then they shouldn't have to do quarantine or self isolation I know we will fly out the earliest we can if they did it like that

You wouldn't go if the virus was out of control in a semi third world country, with a limited number of hospital facilities.

One negative covid test proves nothing. You could pass a covid test, but have caught it hours before taking it.

Thailand has no cases of Covid - why should the risk this ? The damage to the economy from a virus out of control will be even worst than what little tourism there is.

    Maybe you could

pay an unemployed local to take your place in quarantine? A classic sleight-of-hand substitution trick. As long as there’s a body in the ASQ hotel room everything should be fine ????

Or jump of the balcony at midnight, run out of the back entrance, and get a taxi to Nana Plaza. Back before 5am. Do you really trust they would have handle on this?

I don't know what kind of monitoring of those in quarantine is going on, other than knocks at the doors for a daily temperature check, and the odd test during the 15 days.

    Anyone know ?
