Some people are under the impression you can roam within 1km in the “resort“  but I’m struggling to see how that can happen unless everyone roaming has arrived the same time as you and no one else can get in or out including all the staff, girls etc etc.

Still requires a lot more detail on how it will actually work imo

Yeah i am seeing alot of this 'roaming' around. This will not work and defeats the object of the quarantine exercise.

If you have done lets say 13 days out of the 14, and the encounter people who are on their first day who may have the virus - what's not to stop you catching the virus?

You can also be asymptomatic for a day or two, and not show up positive on a test. Say you are on your final day of quarantine, but you encounter a few people hours before your final test before release. They transmit the virus to you, but because it's only a short amount of time, you will clear the final test. However, you will be infected.

I suppose this may well be why they are then having another 7 days whilst on the island - but this would then mean Phuket would be a hot bed of people possibly having the virus. What then if workers return back from Phuket to Bangkok etc?

    It's terrible science.

  2. On a biological this doesn't make any sense.

    - If they are allowed to wonder freely around their resort, then what is to stop them being infected by new arrivals ?

Eg, say i've done 13 days quarantine, stuck around the resort. Then on the 13th day some new arrivals come, who have the virus, infect me ... however it is shown that if i take a test the next day i may still be negative (as it can take a few days for the antibodies to start appearing in your blood and symptoms), so i could take a test on the 14th day, get cleared to leave the resort and into Thailand - but then have the virus.

    or

You could be in a perpetual state of doing a couple of weeks on the resort then get infected, then go do weeks in hospital.

The quarantine system they have is unfortunately the only decent system in place - and even that too is becoming lax with security if you read up on social media. The goal would be maybe to increase the quarantine facilities available.

    Or

they simply allow the virus to roam back into the country and try to limit it's spread. However, if there is a major outbreak this will turn off any hope of tourism. Furthermore it will harm their population.

You have one application in the system. https://www.thaievisa.go.th will not allow you to apply for two separate types of visa at the same time.

If you have applied for entry under an education Visa, why would you apply again under a different visa?

If your first application was a mistake and you want to start over again, you may have to access that application and deleted it (if possible) then start again. Or, re-register with a second / different e-mail address.

    Hello Richard,

this application is for extended family. So parents involved.

I will do both applications seperately.

Furthermore, it's now telling to post all the documents to them (London is too far to go in person). So what's the point in doing everything online, if you just have to go bring all the documents again?

I am now struggling on the payment page, it just keeps resetting.

    Sigh
