You need to go back to the Great Leap Forward, the Cultural Revolution, the complete shuttering of China from the rest of the world to just get a taste of the level of deprivation that a) Chinese can and will endure and b) the CCP is willing to inflict on its own populace. The American media, the American population, Congress, The Senate, The Supreme Court, would be turfing out the Trump administration if they took the US to 5% of that for some nonsense theory. Heck, even his own cabinet would be getting him sectioned.

Have you been on 8kun again???

Thanks for your reply. It would have been an interesting experiment for me to have proffered the non-imm O at Suwannaphum to see what would have happened, bearing in mind I obtained the non-imm O first and then the DTV from the London Embassy. I suspect (but I have no confirmation at all) that it would have been accepted. I don't think the MFA systems, Immigration systems and most importantly their interface are smart enough to start cancelling visas. It is not even sure that any cancellation would be justified. My Thai evisa account happily stated I had two valid visas to utilise.

Vladmir Putin is enjoying the best show he has ever seen. Not in his wildest fantasies could he ever have imagined he would have such a compliant US asset-cum-president.

What does this message from Skype mean? "Existing calling and Skype Number subscriptions will continue to automatically renew until 3 April 2025. After May 2025, those with active Skype Credits and subscriptions can continue to enjoy these paid features and use the Skype Dial Pad from the Skype web portal and within Teams Free. To transfer your Skype Number, contact your new network provider or learn more here."

You appear now to be stating that you can have two valid visas but not if at least one of them is multi-entry and has been used previously to enter the country. However, if both are single entry or one or both are multi-entry but have not been used to enter Thailand, then it is okay to have two valid visas. Have I got that right? And, may I ask where you came by this information?

British Woman Arrested at Phuket Airport for 207-Day Visa Overstay
Briggsy replied to Georgealbert's topic in Phuket News
It is not clear from the story whether the woman had the 20,000 Baht required to clear the overstay fine. If she didn't, she is going to be arrested and then go to IDC, which seems to be what is happening. If she did, then she is very unlucky and the law seems to have been applied punitively. These stories only seem to emanate from Phuket Airport. The only thing I can draw from this tale, since details are missing, is if you are on overstay and intend to fly out by paying your overstay fine at the airport, never leave through Phuket Airport. -
British Man Arrested After Violent Outburst in Phuket
Briggsy replied to Georgealbert's topic in Phuket News
500 Baht fine and the cops will just move on to the next. It is not really a deterrent. -
Do you have a source for that? I applied for a non-imm O from London and received that. 2 weeks later, I changed my mind and applied for a DTV and received that. I had two valid visas. I chose to enter Thailand on the DTV but could have entered on the non-imm O. The Immigration officer said nothing about the unused non-imm O.

I don't know about applying through Los Angeles embassy but applying through the London embassy just required 500,000 Baht equivalent balance on a bank statement. No period was specified. It was effectively a snapshot on the day the statement was issued. (Of course statements do show transactions for a period, usually a month, if the embassy wants to go digging).

Chinese Businessman Found Dead on a Pattaya Beach

Is that the visa previously known as Thai Elite? -
Skype continues to do the business. I will continue to wring the last penny out of it calling the UK. The current message is "Starting in May, Skype will no longer be available. Continue your calls and chats in Teams."

Wild Gaurs Found Shot Dead in Nakhon Ratchasima, Poaching Suspected
Briggsy replied to snoop1130's topic in Isaan News
Very sad. Hard to see how these beautiful animals can continue to survive in the wild in Thailand. Why not go steal a cow if you are that desperate? What an idiot. -
This is a conflation of number of facts leading to a totally erroneous conclusion. It has already been discussed and dismissed earlier in the thread. However, I will repeat the main errors. There is no widespread Vitamin A deficiency in the U.S. Overdosing on Vitamin A leads to severe health risks, possibly fatal. Immunisation is a proven and excellent way of preventing measles in the first place. Providing Vitamin A to children with measles who are not deficient in Vitamin A will not combat the disease. The post by @pedro01 is an excellent example of completely flawed logic.

Trump has a track record of appointing those who are in dire need of friends and support. So dire in fact that they will remain intensely loyal to Trump. In this case, RFK Jr has a history of very strange beliefs and behaviour, nobody in their right mind would give him a position of responsibility. Except Trump. The result is the inevitable train wreck with innocent victims.

Drunk Foreign Woman Flips Car, Dances at Phuket Crash Scene

A lot of Russians know the Thai police can be paid off as easily as the Russian police if you have the right connections. So, they don't care. -
Trump Declares 'Liberation Day' as Sweeping Tariffs Take Effect
Briggsy replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Whilst I think that Trump is completely unfit to be in the White House and I think this tariff theatre is absurd, the reason for the high tariffs for ASEAN high exporters is that a lot of the Thai/Vietnamese/CAMBODIAN/Laotian/Indonesian exports etc. are in fact disguised Chinese exports. -
Chinese Nationals Flee Accident Scene After Crashing Mercedes in Chonburi

If they don't want the car, I'll have it. -
@GanDoonToonPet The April flight in from the UK should be fine. The July Cambodian border bounce should not be done by air. Use an agent van service for a land crossing. If you do use air, probably best to use safe entry service that @thai006 linked above. Using one or the other of these methods will increase your chance of hassle-free entry in July from 85 - 90% to 100%.

As a very rough rule of thumb, if you have spent over 50% of the last 12 months or the last 24 months in Thailand on Visa Exempt and Tourist Visas, you run the risk of being denied entry. In this case, I strongly believe the 15 days is completely irrelevant. You would need to look at the denied person's travel history over the last 12 - 24 months. I was denied entry in 2019 having spent a month in the UK. The reason was I was spending around 75% of my time in Thailand on METV's. (Of course, they do not overtly state that, you have to figure it out.)

Is that a reversed video image or did the driver move over to the passenger seat or is that a front seat passenger in yellow? Either way the person in yellow straight away within a few seconds of smashing through a plate glass window starts tapping on her phone. I am sure I would not do that. Is that tremendous peace of mind, phone addiction or was she using the phone when she crashed?
