    Ah... Welcome wome, welcome walls!

Wabbit Hour down at the mezcal bar!!!

It´s a time zone thing.... It clears my 70 posts of yesterday at around noon (midnight thai time, or shortly thereafter after, whenever George does his change of day thing.

    :D

    Are you stalking me????

I make a posting and whatta you know, shazaaamm Kayo shows up straight after. Watch my bumper sticker If you can read this you are too close" :D

  2. I´ll give you clue on the death threats.... He sips maritini´s on the beach with Lao Po, where the story never ends!

    :D :D :D

    next pic please!!

Too many Lippo's my friend? :o

You are everywhere and as someone said in another forum, averaging 2 posts a minute, jeez. It takes me that long to click view new posts.

  3. Obviously I did not read this post carefully. Youre not serious at all.

Support yourself?? Why would anyone travel 1000's of miles away with no money. As you are working already as a "professional masseur" , my advice is to stay home and work a little longer and save money until you can go to a doctor for that exam! :o There are too many "Loco's" in Thailand already, no need to add to that number. :D

That would be a different idea for sure, come to Thailand and hook up with Thai women and let them support you? :D

Nah, As for now I think I have to agree that the pictures attached are accurate.

    Listen man, Mihailo never lies.

I have a seminar in Bangkok which is worth more than all money in the world :D That's why I'm coming. And then I'll be stayin a little.

I am a pro masseur, check my website- <link removed> (it's in Serbian, but a smart boy like you should figure his way out :D )

The thing is that I cannot save enough money to live carefree in Thailand by the time the seminar starts.

    Happy now?

Those minor insults I'll ignore, I know that you didn't mean it for real :D

We will see about the picture.

I'll send you some when I come there :D

You shouldn't underestimate or judge people like that. For your sake.

As far as I'm concerned, whatever.

    Peace :D

OK, best option for you is to find the website for any headhunters like HES, Portfolio Intl etc, and see if they would be able to find a job as an expert therapist at a Resort Spa. Then again I dont know your certifications. At the headhunters website you are required to leave your CV and they would contact you should your Cv match the requirement on a position.

Otherwise you would have to walk around to the high end resorts in Phuket to have a talk with the spa managers.

I did not mean to offend you, and did nt want to come across as rude, my apologies but unfortunately there is a very small chance that you would get a job by doing this.

Amanpuri have expat therapists, if you have a holistic approach and you have more on your CV then just massage then maybe.

The fact that a massage in Thailand could be found for as low as 200 Baht is true and in order for hotels to bring you in as an expert you need a something that they not already have in Phuket. The costs incurred with VISA applications are too high for the resorts to take this chance.

Well good luck and let me know if I can give you more information.

    Cheers

  4. I think it will discourage a few more people from leaving when the visa has run out. It will certainly make the newly found fiancé think about funding his departure when the money has run out.

Well if you are a tourist and you dont have enough money for the return trip of 700 Baht even if it went up to 1000 Baht you should have thought about that at your last barvisit. Do anyone in this forum travel that way at all, no matter destination?

We are talking about an increase of 200 Baht for crying out loud. A little bit over a drink at the bar.

If you are travelling in duty, save the reciept and leave upon return to the finance dept.

Careful now ..... you are deliberatly bringing this thread back to being On Topic!

Mmm, and may I add I did it on purpose.. Its just that how many International trips does people do thatc they have to bear themselves? Cant be that many, right?

If one are on such a tight budget maybe that person is displayed on the next Britmav posting, sitting in the stair to the Skytrain, with a poster. :o

  5. Working for the Airlines I came there in the early 90's for a weekend.. One of my pals showed me around BKK, never thought on the way back home he would show me the "exotic" Thermae. We flew i and flew out one experience richer, ehh :o

Could not decide if I liked it or not. I had to go back to find out. I did like it, everything. I guess for me, opposite attracts. About 10 years later, 2001 I got a job in Phuket and met the Sun on my sky. The last contract was in Vietnam and my new family moved along. After finishing this contract, reluctantly I had to return to Scandinavia and wait for a new contract fall in place. I wanted back to Thailand and for the time being there was no openings.

What was my thought when people would ask "why I went their in the first place" Unfortunately the people that asked me this question, only had one thing in mind. Its sad when Thailand only is associated with bars, sex. I felt attacked in more than one way because there was an assumption that I went there only for sex. Almost like you cannot enjoy Thailand to the full unless you try the sweets. I feel sorry for them,, they know little I know a lot and no reason to comment their sarcasm. That would only work as fuel to continue a meaningless conversation. As I said these may not represent all people but the majority at my previous work. Other people had already been there and you were able to talk to them as normal people, share the Experience.

If someone ask me the same question now, it does not bother me. Its a complete destination in every single aspect and I am truly in love with it.

I just wish that everything will be sorted out so that I will get that new contract.

Suppose this is prob your only option based on your qualifications. :D

Sadly this looks like an extremely accurate post!

    Jd,

If he come and walk the beaches of Phuket, he would not have enough money to sit as a begger on the stairs to the skytrain in BKK. Maybe you have to show mercy on him and take him from Patong up to Kamala, rich clients. Maybe you can help him get a job the Amanpuri? :o

  8. Hi people,

I'll be in Bangkok at the beginning of December and I'll be needing a job to support myself.

What can I find (simple jobs like) and how much can I expect to get paid?

I'm not an English native, so I'm not good enough to teach :D

I am a professional masseur, could I maybe find a massage job there? (I know that the land is famous of massage, but still...)

Could I maybe walk on a beach (I hope that there are some) with a T-shirt on with huge letters saying 'MASSAGE', yelling to rich tourists and then ripping them of for 30min short massage?

    Smart, ha?

    thanks anyways,

    Mihailo
