it is unacceptable to be treated like Jews in extermination camps just for a couple of days of overstay. I don't like these things in thailand, it's exaggerated but the truth is that they are racist towards foreigners who come to live in their country. Honestly, I am ok to live there only for a few months and then I go back to my country. They are always right anyway but let'see if they will be right in my country!
If they want to screw me up i do that first with thai womens! And then I leave haha. I like to be the winner!-

i dont need visa... i am from eu so I get 2 months plus extension right? total 3 months?
you can come without a visa but it is recommended you get an onward ticket flight to show to the airline prior to boarding, so they can see that you will leave the country later. It's the airline that want like that, before you fly to thailand. You can buy a cheap onward ticket, from thailand to a nearby asian country, very easy
You could also buy ticket from some thai or asian airlines but it will cost you more. It's up to you-

Nothing new for me. That's typical of thai immigration, to make your life harder haha. I am always sure that they are a bit racist with foreigners that want to come to thailand

You know the saying about death and taxes.
If you don't want to pay tax, that only leaves the other option.
No problem for me. You can pay tax if you like

Don't fall into this thai trap, otherwise you will only lose all your money. Lucky me I am happily single again

No because all of them leave after 179 days and go somewhere else for the rest of the year.

Dude, are you taking the pith?
No. I am just curious haha. Because most of retired and married foreigners stay in Thailand all the time without leaving the country
-
Got it thanks. And what about retired and married foreigners? Do they have to pay tax?

If you stay in Thailand for less than 179 days in any calendar year, you are not considered Thai tax resident, unless you are Thai. Tax residency has nothing to do with visa type.
I understood that but if I have a METvisa for example and I will exit Thailand after 60 days to do a border run and I will come back again in a few days will I be exempt from tax? This always in a calendar year

Yes but METvisa is 180 days so you will have to pay tax isn't it?

Will I be taxable if I come back to Thailand with a multi entry tourist visa? Because METV is 6 months

That's great 😃

I've one more question and maybe it could be a bit silly haha. Let's say I come back to Thailand on 2025 and I stay less than 180 days and I will come back again on 2026 always for less than 180 days! Will I have to pay tax or not in this case? I hope you got my (silly) question

Yes I like to stay in Thailand less than 180 days a year. Then no problem for me. That's great 😃
I don't want to pay tax for a country that is not mine. I don't even want to pay it in my country haha

Is there a way to not pay tax? I have never paid and declared tax every time I came to Thailand
-
Thanks for the answers. So I am not taxable if for example I put not more than 150000 THB in my Thai bank account? And I don't have to get a tax identification number? TIN
-
I don't want to pay tax in Thailand! Can I simply avoid that just put less than 150000thb in my Thai bank account per year? Normally I put 10000 THB every month as I'm not a big spender

I never stated 2 border runs per year.
That rule was removed earlier this year.
to me is better to come with a visa first, just not to burn one visa exemption already

I assume you previously obtained a Tourist eVisa.
Can't imagine anyone obtaining a tourist eVisa when visa exempt provides same 60 day permission of stay and both can be extended by 30 days.
The threads discussing eVisa and changes in places such as Laos is of interest to folk looking for eg Non O.
No one will be applying for a tourist eVisa.
Note: visa exempt entries are not unlimited.
I think single tourist visa still has some value. I would come with a tourist visa for the first time and then I can do a few border runs. I don't really like to come to Thailand without a visa ( for the first time) if you come without a tourist visa and only get visa exemption are you sure you can do 2 border run per year after? Single Tourist visa is not expensive by the way
