In our village it seems women do almost all the work.
Thai men in general seem more keen on drinking, smoking, and napping.
They bring all they salary to wife, so let them little relax! And they can only do that if wife give them "beer money" so normaly wife let them "relax"! And that naging is that kind in normal thai house that no man cant listen that hole evening!

Serious question.
When I first came to Thailand around 2017~2018, Thais smiled a lot. Very natural and beautiful smiles.
When I came back around 2019~2020, I sensed that Thais smiled a lot less. Very fed up looking smiles.
Q1. Did Thais smile more before 2017?
Q2. What happened between 2018 & 2019 to make Thai smiles fade away?
I think you should chance girls in soi cowboy! After 2000 "boyfriend" is hard to smile.

Really worrying thing is , small hospitals whitout ICU unit now filling up whit covid patient's in province's. How they report from there that somebody need/are in icu if they even dont have icu! If main province hospital is full they cant move nobody to ICU. And i know how hard was in normal times to move main hospital from our small town hospital. I think its not more easy now!

And another thing. If over 22,000 are being released each day, we assume they are being given a PCR test to confirm they are now negative. If - big IF - these figures were included and they were all negative, then it could mean only around 30,000 new people being tested, which would mean an even greater positivity rate of over 70%. Doubtful, but as always, the maths doesn't really add up when people ask questions.
In Finland all infected people are in home isolation first! If you dont have symptons, after 10 days you not isolated anymore and they NOT TEST YOU OTHER TIME! You not spread virus anymore so why use test again! Only family members are isolated 14 days and tested 2 times! If you get symptoms you call ambulance which take you to hospital! Yesterday in Finland 83 covid patient in hospital and from those 19 in icu!

I have never hear of 30% faults positives. Do you have a link for that?
Only count from article.
15,074 were subsequently sent for RT-PCR tests, with 2.1% or 323 of them found to be in a serious condition and 69.5% having only mild symptoms or were asymptomatic, said Deputy Permanent Secretary for Health Dr. Yongyuth Thammawut
Or they just dont tell where they loose 30% ! Ok 28.4 LMAO

There have much bigger problems than wasted money! Last year i was driver to wife and her colleague's , they tell schools how to start online teaching. We visit many schools and student place in close Laos border. Many student live in villages (up in mountain) where really dont have internet and even cellphone not work. Many village dont even have tv where they can study! Many clever kid cant even study at all! They dont have access to any kind of study "material" this covid times!

More than 99.99% of people who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 have not had a breakthrough case resulting in hospitalization or death, according to a CNN analysis of data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

What Iceland’s rising Covid-19 case count tells us about vaccine efficacy
https://qz.com/2044284/icelands-rising-covid-19-cases-demonstrate-vaccine-efficacy/
That there are hardly any deaths accompanying the rising case count is a good sign. The data show that vaccinated people who are getting the virus are generally recovering without serious illness.
But still case are rising coz delta, all know what its doing in country where dont have many vaccinated people! Only one covid casualty in Iceland this year, ok small country but still.

Most tests in Thailand are for either people who are symptomatic and have walked into a hospital, or contacts of the infected. So the pool of those those tested are high probability.
When positivity rates are normally discussed, it's concerning populations that are randomly selected, or at least not self selected.
Many western country not doing any random test, still positivity rate is 1 to 3%! Reason, there is enough places where people can go to get tested.

I'm not a fortune teller... I don't know what's going to happen in the future. But I can look at the recent past, and see we've had repeated temporary dips in daily cases (as noted by the red circles I've added to the MoPH graph), and each time, those dips thus far have been followed by subsequent increases to new highs.... Will this latest pause be any different?

Walk in case's (blue bar) can't get much higher, there dont have more place where to walk in!
Other issue is , how much higher the infection rate can get?! If now make 50k test and find almost 20k case! In Europe ,contry's been really worried if infection rate has been 1 - 3%!!!!!!!

I will be interested to see if this fall is once again primarily from BKK.
Main thing BKK numbers are droping , they export infected one's to other provinces and numbers add in there. One day like in Loei dont have any local case but imported ones had 38 all from BKK.
Anyway just hear Mrs. aunt have get covid. Intresting to hear what they do people who have been contact to her because she have small shop in village.

Unlike in western society, in Thailand and most of East/Southeast Asian countries, multi-generation living under the same roof is very common.
And really in Italy! There live more generation in same roof than in Thailand! And because that ,older people start drop like fly's when start this covid thing! Yes they all dont put they hand in same sontam cup or drink same class, BUT THEY KISS eatch other all the time! Kids, babys, son, daughter maybe even dogs , cats ....... etc. I dont know what kind your common Thai family is but in our's almost all generation's live in different house's/places if they are adult. And nornaly kids work different town , even in Isaan if they have not continue to be farmer.

My landlady is also my agent. I liked her explanation of "seasoning". She said, seasoning is something you put on FOOD. it has nothing to do with money. She explained that it was just another way that Immigration has to inconvenience you. 500 dollars is expensive compared to the previous price, but it is very reasonable when you see the doors that an agent can open. 80 thousand baht a month isn't good enough for Immigration, they want you to park it in a Thai bank because of a corrupt "sweetheart" deal between them and the banks. I am happy to pay so-called "corruption money", to be able to love here for a year. I will be long gone, once the Covid insanity ends. Thailand has abused its expats enough. The Philippines offers a better deal for the money.

Yes, transported on Anutins "Covid train and Covid Plane" or by Big Joke and crew to the restive south.
Reason people in province's not react the numbers like they should! Many think numbers come from outside so we dont need to worry! They really not tell how many infection has locally transmitted in province.
