If your not doing any serious driving then EVs will work ok, except if you try and re-sell your EV.....I bet if you get 25% back you will be lucky...I bet with a 7-8 year old EV your looking at 10%... For anyone who drives a lot Forget it.....EVs are a terrible idea....

If they were after the Big Boys that would mean the top 1% that own 50% of Thailand.... Who most likely pay almost zero taxes.... The Big Boys dont want to see things change....They are more or less the real goverment of Thailand....And they are not going to tax their own Trillions of dollars....... The little people can pay the taxes, like the farang.... -

Yes for years on end...There has been a endless flood of press releases about how Thailand wants RICH RICH RICH very well to do expats......And the expats on a modest buget need to be shown the door.......And this tax would just hammer their precious RICH expats......lol

Being treated like a 3rd class person and being taxed for the privilege I agree just does not make sense... I say give absolutly nothing to farangs and expect nothing in return.... The only thing Thailand gives farangs is 90 day reports, TM 30, No buy beer in the afternoon....Dual pricing.....And loads of bureaucracy.... Zero in zero out..... Fair is fair......
