  1. In some places, the girls talk too much, which is also off-putting. Sometimes they answer their phone while massaging. There's not exactly a code of conduct in these places.
  2. Never tried one, but whenever I go for a 300 baht oil massage, and tell myself all I'm going to spend is 300 plus tip, I end up paying 1000 or more.🤣
  3. You bring up one good point - Internet. If you want a good Internet service, you have to be near a major city and it's going to cost you more than it does in Thailand for a similar speed with unlimited data.
  4. Unless you are James Bond, of course.😁
  5. The quality doesn't have much to do with price, but the skills of the massage therapist (PC for masseuse LOL). There's a reason why they are cheap. They work very hard to convince you to pay for extras, which the girls keep. They can be very persuasive.
  6. Yes, I watched that, but that's fighting with rules. Street fighting is different. Anything goes. Eddie Hall is one of the world's strongest men, which helps. We're talking over 400lbs at his peak.
  7. The big shopping malls have a huge selection of restaurants for every budget. Finding good quality Western-style food is not a problem, but it can be expensive; the same is not cheap in Thailand either.
  8. Yes, that's the UFC limit for title fights. He didn't spend long in MMA with a 5-3 record, and he was fighting one other heavyweight, not a bunch of nimble-footed Filipinos coming at him from all directions.
  9. If he weighed a muscular 280lbs as mentioned in the "synopsis", he'd be far too slow to deal with a gang of Filipinos. That's far too heavy to be an effective street fighter. That's the weight of the biggest bodybuilders on stage.
  10. It sounds more like you are confused. I'm not confused at all... The situation is exactly as I stated. You can contact the First Class Visa service in Pattaya to confirm. If you're on a non-O, and want to get back in with a 30 days stamp, it will cost what I stated. I will be doing this next month so I have gone over the details already for a trip.
  11. I was informed by a prominent visa-run company in Pattaya that if you have a non-O visa, and you want to go out to get another 30 days, they will refuse unless you pay 1500 - 2000 baht to someone (don't know who)... also the day had to arranged so that the person to be paid was present at the border. They (visa-run company) have to call ahead to make an appointment.
  12. What did they accept as proof of funding? Cash in hand or a bank statement?
  13. It looks like a copy-and-paste article from somewhere else. I agree with most of it but some of it is a bit over the top, especially the story about the 280lb martial artist who is scared of Filipinos... but what personal experience do you have in the Philippines? How much time have you spent there? Where did you live? There's no way you'd have that much knowledge of PI unless you spent much time there.
  14. When I was in my 20s to early 30s I lived in Auckland, Sydney, Brisbane, and Johannesburg in my teens, so have done a fair bit of city dwelling...then I spent 20 years seaside on the Gold Coast. I just don't like crowds. In Pattaya, you have everything you need, with less hustle and bustle. I'm next to a big park and near the sea... and there are now 2 major shopping malls. What else do I need? Plenty of gyms too these days, although I have my own at home.
  15. Here's exactly what I said, to produce another tirade against "red hats" which was not necessary; but it shows where your head is at, with several references to the buttocks. Quote: "While you're at it, you need to fact-check your sources too. It could be more fake news. A lot is going around lately." It was not indicated from which direction the fake news comes; it flows both ways.
  16. I have lived in Manila, spent a lot of time in Cebu City, 5 years in Angeles City, and now, for 19 years in Pattaya. I don't like Cebu City at all. I'd put it at about equal with Manila. There are only 2 good options from my point of view. Pattaya vs Angeles City, and Pattaya wins hands down. I enjoy visiting Bangkok and Manila for a few days but living full-time in cities with populations of around 11 and 15 million respectively, no thanks. I have no idea how expats manage to do it.
  17. Just as it is "going around all the time" on the other side. It's called politics. What else did you expect?
  18. When someone debates your assertions, you counter with "look it up". That isn't the way it's done - It's up to you to provide evidence. Don't be lazy and expect others to do your job. While you're at it, you need to fact-check your sources too. It could be more fake news. A lot is going around lately.
  19. Talk about hypocrisy. What are you, some kind of Christian, moralistic bigot? I'll place a bet that most expats commenting in this thread are sexpats or have been at one point in their Thailand "careers". Even getting a young wife in Thailand doesn't excuse you from exploiting them... now people like you are accusing Trump of being adulterous. You can cut out that nonsense about "sex offender/rapist". Billionaires don't need to rape girls...they gladly consent for obvious reasons... and then surface many years later when they have passed their use-by date, looking for another payment. You know all this, but you can't help yourself. You hate Trump so much that you can't think straight when you type.
  20. NY Times, subscription only. He does look his age. It's not about bodies, but money.
  21. LOL. I post some Bond Girl photos and some dipsh*t is confused. Allow me to alleviate your confusion - it's just to add something good to look at and reduce the temperature in this thread. Read the title - it's about Bond Girls.
  22. You'd have to be an imbecile to find that funny. Dr. Jill Biden would make a much funnier target, leading Joe around like a puppet.
  23. The Democrats hate him so much, that they have lost their minds and can't think straight... and now they are attacking his wife and family.
  24. That YouTube video is the most pathetic attempt at humour I've seen, and I only watched a minute of it. There's nothing wrong with the 60's Bond Girl Look, even today. I just happened to be watching Thunderball (1965) today. Here's a trip down memory lane: (the first photo is the Goldfinger (1964)girls)
  25. This post is 10 years old. Would anyone know if amitriptyline is still available over the counter in Thailand (Pattaya)?
