  1. You mean you're loving it when a criminal gets away with his crime. "Just find me...11,780 votes" Attempting to subvert democracy might be okay with you, but to people with morality and a belief in democratic ideals, it is not. I wonder if you feel the same joy when a murderer or rapist gets away with his crime because people involved in his prosecution behaved poorly? The phone call that trump made, which was recorded by the GA SecState Raffensperger, has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Willis having an affair. ZERO. The grand jury heard that call and preferred charges against trump and his gaggle of goons, a few of whom already pleaded guilty. Things like democracy, fair elections, proper handling of sensitive classified material, not engaging in theft, not engaging in sexual offenses, not violating bank and insurance fraud laws, and even legal (but immoral) sexual trysts with porn stars while the wife is recovering from childbirth---and then setting up your lawyer to pay the hush money and take the fall---mean something to decent people. That they mean nothing to you---except "lovin' it" when your messiah might get away with his crimes---says what sort of character you have. I like democracy. I respect the ideals of my country. I understand what the Founders had in mind when they put their philosophy into writing---understanding their own human frailties and weaknesses, but setting a bar high and a goal that would be a continual work in progress. When some self-serving POS comes along and tries to destroy all of that, and spit on the efforts and sacrifices better people have made for 250 years in an attempt to reach the goal the Founders had in mind, then I take exception not only to that miscreant and traitor, but to anyone who either lacks the moral fiber to call him out, or is so naive and ignorant that they buy his so obviously transparent drivel.
  2. Ironically, back when tech was almost non-existent, guys like J Edgar Hoover did behave badly. With the advent of incredible technology, those who possess it are prohibited from doing what many people think they do regularly. There are rules, and internally everybody monitors everybody. Even when a Schulte is discovered, he is given some rope to see if he is cooperating with an outside source. Nobody put anything on his computer. The agency initially failed when doing the psych assessment they do, which should have revealed his proclivities, but for those with psychopathy (about 5% of the human population), they can slip by. In the agency, CIMC has systems that remotely monitor every single computer access. If someone is trying to access things unrelated to his position, the system throws out a warning, and the individual is subsequently questioned. Also, employees are subject to swirls (lie detector) anytime. Like all folks with clearances, they also must file a financial report every years listing all of their assets. If you're a private citizen, and not engaging in anything untoward, nobody is monitoring you. You are completely free and invisible. If you work for the agency, however, just about every aspect of your life is monitored.
  3. Don't get carried away. What you think goes on does not go on. While I understand the tendency toward paranoia, reality is quite a different thing than you seem to think. First, the guy wasn't a whistleblower. He wanted to monetize what he stole. Second, while the agency engaged in some nasty practices in the past, everything changed in 1978 with the Church Commission. The rules became almost ponderous. Here's just one example: Imagine a known terrorist is spotted in an airport. Maybe you already have access to his phone, so any plans he might have might have been revealed. The second he boards a plane destined for the US, he becomes a US Person and thus the agency cannot monitor him. Even if he used the airplane phone, or tied into plane wifi and sent messages, the agency and NSA cannot monitor anything. The hacking tools this guy revealed were not used on US persons. They were used on foreign targets, including leaders or acolytes of hostile nations, terrorists, or international criminals (those by the bureau). Nobody in the agency cares a lick about you, unless you join a terrorist group or try to sell fissionable material or engage in illegal arms sales---and you are inadvertently picked up because a known int'l bad guy's commo is being monitored. The second it is determined you are a US person (engaged in nasty stuff), the intel is turned over to the bureau, as crime by US Persons is their gig. If you are not engaged in anything untoward, the agency couldn't care less you even exist. Nobody wants to "control you". The other famous leaker (Edward Snowden) was a low level employee with limited access and who tried to justify his goofing around by claiming things that were simply untrue. He is now living in Russia, and will be alive so long as he is of some use to putin. A previous guy who revealed secrets and eventually fled to Moscow (Edward Lee Howard) died in a "fall in his home". He had outlived his usefulness to putin.
  4. Interesting that this thread is bereft of trumpers. They know trump broke the law and is guilty not only of theft, but lying to the FBI and endangering national security plus the identities of clandestine foreign assets. If any do chime in, I would be happy to give them a remedial lesson on the classification and declassification procedures, which are prima facie evidence of trump's guilt. It seems obvious why trump's lackey Judge Cannon is delaying and delaying and delaying. To borrow from trump, she should be de-benched (kind of like trump's de-banked).
  5. All of trump's delay tactics say he knows he's guilty as sin. He just believes he's entitled to commit whatever crime he feels like committing, just as he felt entitled to grab any woman by her lady bits. That's why he's seeking immunity. The trial delays and endless appeals are in the pointless hope he will win in November and then pardon himself. He cannot win. It would have been much smarter to back a young candidate who at least has a chance of beating Biden, and telling that candidate he will toss all his goobers into the candidate's camp if the candidate promises trump a pardon. Of course even then, trump can't be pardoned for his defamation, nor bank and insurance fraud convictions, not even the RICO charges in Georgia, as those are all State charges. The GA RICO charge carries a mandatory 5 year prison sentence if convicted, which for an obese 78 year old slob with increasing dementia, that's really a life sentence.
  6. Yes, you have it. It will be even worse when trump loses yet again...but 2024 might be about the number of years in jail he will be sentenced for his crime spree. THAT is one reason why I despise anyone and everyone who supports trump. This is not an ideological difference, such as liberal vs conservative. It is nothing more than good vs evil. trump is evil.
  7. I just gave you the highlights. Oh, and December was adjusted UP, from the original +216,000 to +333,000. The +23,000 in manufacturing is fantastic. You think trump's numbers---which were much lower than Biden's---are any different? The number is called "Non-farm payroll", so it's ALWAYS a mix. The fact is, the number is huge. More Americans working and getting a paycheck. More Americans are working today than ever in US history. It really hurts that Biden is doing so well for the economy. You must be begging for a crash like traitor trump. Perhaps come later this year, the US will even have to hire a few more prison guards to look after the inmate trump. It just gets better and better.
  8. Typical trumper: dead wrong Professional and business services: +74,000 Healthcare services (i.e. fat trumpers needing diabetes type II treatment): +70,000 Retail Trade (because flush consumers are out shopping): +45,000
  9. January Jobs Number: Expectation: +180,000 Actual: +353,000 Bidenomics has the US booming.
  10. That is untrue. Polls close to the election had them close, with Hillary expected to take the popular vote. She did. The Electoral College put the popular vote loser over the top. It also helped that Putin's funding of Jill Stein's campaign took votes from Clinton. trump's margin over Clinton was less than the votes Stein got in MI, and WI, and quite close in PA. Putin had learned from Perot '92 and Nader '00 what a 3rd Party candidate close to one major Party candidate can do, so funded tree-hugger Stein.
  11. No point in addressing all of what you got wrong, which is everything you wrote (apparently low unemployment and highest growth rate among major industrialized countries bothers you...you prefer the 6.8% UE and Recession trump left behind), but about one point I must educate you. trump would have shot down the Chinese spy balloon the moment it was discovered, and then come on TV pretending he was Baron von Richthofen. Biden played it smart. The balloon would learn absolutely nothing, as everybody knows where the ICBMs are already. The balloon would have gotten photos of closed silos. Letting it pass over the entire country, then shooting it down and recovering it, got the US oodles of intelligence, both software and hardware. All commo between the balloon and Chinese satellites was picked up, and then decrypted by NSA. All of China's spy capabilities were laid bare. It was an incredible intelligence bonanza. It is highly likely that the general in China who ordered the balloon now has his organs serving people from Singapore to Hong Kong.
  12. How come all of trump's "Best People" are all now 'losers' and 'deranged' and 'disloyal'? The only one he still seems to like is the clown Steven Miller, who is a psychopath disowned by his own family. Mattis? Gen Kelly? DirFBI Wray? DNI Coates? EconAdv Cohn? SecDef Esper? AG Barr? NSA Bolton? VP Pence? Even Omorosa? All trump picks. All now the object of trump's rage.
  13. What does it say about me? That I think people whose every action points to them being a POS actually are POS? Plus, how can one find anything positive to say about chumps so consumed by trump's vapors that they cash their SNAP card and SSDI money to send to their "billionaire hero messiah" so he can pay $260,000 for his wife's haircut? Dumb is dumb. Can't sprinkle sugar or honey on it and make it anything other than what it is. If you take exception to what and how I write, then I consider that doing a good job. The absolute last thing I would ever want is respect from someone like you.
  14. trump had a R House and R Senate for his first 2 years. He had a direct line to the President of Mexico, but 'somehow', Mexico never paid. trump appointed his own heads of Homeland Security, Border Patrol, FBI Who was opposing him?
  15. Did you notice the citations? Mueller Report SSCI Report I would say go read them, but you won't. trumpers like things simple, like cheap slogans or plans that are 'incredible, the best, fabulous', but which do not exist (like trump's "unbelievable healthcare plan that would replace Obamacare". Four years...ZIP. What I wrote is my opinion, but facts....the thing that is anathema to your trumpers. The Manafort-Kilimnik meeting in Spain and handover of internal polling data is FACT The IRA of the GRU is FACT The FSB asset who hacked Podesta, gave to Assange, who then gave to Stone is FACT Go find it yourself. I'm not your daddy.
  16. No, it was not. Do yourself a favor and read both ther Mueller Report and the report produced by SSCI. The Repubs were still the majority in the Senate when the SSCI report was released. First, "collusion" was a word made up by trump. Cooperation with Russia is a fact. In his first week as Campaign Manager for trump, Pual Manafort was sent to Spain to meet GRU asset Konstantin Kilimnik. Manafort gave Kilimnik detailed internal polling data from the campaign. Such data is quite extensive in campaigns. It is broken down to individuals names, and has all public data about them, such as their Facebook and other social media accounts, any club memberships, income, work, spending habits...enough to build a pretty good idea of the person. Kilimnik gave the data to the Internet Research Agency in St Pete. The IRA is an arm of the GRU. The IRA then microtargeted voters in key swing States with fake stories about Hillary Clinton and other Democrats. Sounds like cooperation, eh? Also, an FSB asset from Romania hacked into some Dem computers, such as John Podesta, and turned everything over to Julian Assange at Wikileaks. Assange was in contact with trump campaign consultant Roger Stone, and advised Stone on the timing of the leaks. Stone advised trump. Remember at one of trump's rallies when he said, "Next Monday, or Tuesday maybe, there's going to be some really interesting information about Crooked Hillary that you're really going to like". Sounds like more cooperation.
  17. Donald J. Trump: You know and ... Unknown: She used to be great. She’s still very beautiful. Trump: I moved on her, actually. You know, she was down on Palm Beach. I moved on her, and I failed. I’ll admit it. Unknown: Whoa. Trump: I did try and <deleted> her. She was married. Unknown: That’s huge news. Trump: No, no, Nancy. No, this was [unintelligible] — and I moved on her very heavily. In fact, I took her out furniture shopping. She wanted to get some furniture. I said, “I’ll show you where they have some nice furniture.” I took her out furniture — I moved on her like a bitch. But I couldn’t get there. And she was married. Then all of a sudden I see her, she’s now got the big phony tits and everything. She’s totally changed her look. Billy Bush: Sheesh, your girl’s hot as <deleted>. In the purple. Trump: Whoa! Whoa! Bush: Yes! The Donald has scored. Whoa, my man! [Crosstalk] Trump: Look at you, you are a pussy. [Crosstalk] Trump: All right, you and I will walk out. [Silence] Trump: Maybe it’s a different one. Bush: It better not be the publicist. No, it’s, it’s her, it’s — Trump: Yeah, that’s her. With the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Bush: Whatever you want. Trump: Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything. https://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/08/us/donald-trump-tape-transcript.html
  18. trump is the consummate grifter. Besides using funding from his PACs to pay legal bills, according to FEC filings, he has dipped into his goober donations for $260,000 since 2022 to pay Herve Pierre Braillard, who is Melania's stylist. Those are quite expensive haircuts. All those goobers with low paying jobs are digging deep to help out a struggling supposed billionaire, and he is taking their cigarette and Dorito money to pay a hair stylist $18,000 a pop for his wife. Dig deep, goobers, your "like, really really rich" messiah wants his wife to get a shampoo and color touchup. Goobers and their money are soon parted. https://nypost.com/2023/08/01/melania-trump-stylist-gets-260k-in-campaign-cash-since-start-of-2022/
  19. What is it you don't understand about insurrection? Do you honestly think trying to appoint fake electors is okay? Do you think pressuring a SecState of GA to break the law and "just find me 11,780 votes" is okay? Do you think stealing highly classified documents, keeping them in your country club, and then lying about returning them is okay? Do you think it's okay to take campaign funds and pay off a woman to keep her quiet about an assignation you had with her just after your wife gave birth is okay? trumpers have a definition of 'political' that is not in Merriam-Webster.
  20. You must be really old, because what you mention was 175 years ago. Question: which Party passed the Civil Rights Act?
  21. Well, I'll invoke Godwin's Law. trump absolutely would be Hitler if he had the chance. ZERO doubt about that. Fortunately he isn't as smart as Hitler, but he's every bit as psychopathic and evil. He might pick a new demographic for the "Final Solution", but do it he would. He has spoken of getting rid of all Moslems. He wants to jail political opponents, who---unlike trump---have broken no laws and committed no crimes. His jargon is pure Third Reich. It's no coincidence. Even his first wife claims he kept speeches of Hitler on his nightstand. His talk of "retribution" ("I am your retribution", he said in one of his recent rallies) and his statements about executing Gen Milley is pure fascism. He calls those who violently attempted to subvert the election and overthrow US democracy, but who were caught, tried and convicted, "hostages" and "political prisoners". No, they are treasonous scum who should be shot, trump foments violence through his comments. Only idiots do not see that. "Come to DC. It'll be WILD".
  22. I know why they vote for him: Because they are losers who cannot accept responsibility for their own failure in life. trump gives them an excuse for failure. Like any good dictator wannabe, he tells them nothing is their fault, and he gives them someone to blame, whether that is immigrants, women, Blacks or Moslems. trumpers are frightened by their own shadows, They think the greatest problem facing the planet is that a small % of people insist on using different pronouns, when ten thousand things are of greater import. They have zero perspective, perhaps because they are incapable of thinking. Their silly slogan of maga contains 'again'. That means they pine for a time when Blacks went by the n-word and rode at the back of the bus, and women were barefoot and pregnant. That those losers have to compete with minorities and women---and be bested by them---is more than their fragile snowflake egos can take. trump promises to take them back "again" to white male privilege and a visible white society. trump owns racists, misogynists and the poorly educated. Biden has the country booming. Highest growth in years, lowest unemployment, jobs going wanting, infrastrcuture being upgraded....if trumpers were so entitled, they might be able to benefit, but they think the world owes them because they're white Even on this site, look at the Carroll thread. One trumper called Blacks "chocolates". Typical trumper.
  23. Have you ever looked at a trump rally? Half the signs are trump, as if he's the Second Coming, and the other half are crazy Talibangicals or guys carying "Q" signs or "Where One Go, We All Go", which is QAnon insanity. (By the way, a "Q" clearance is merely a Dept of Energy clearance that allow someone to see classified docs related to nuclear issues. The guy who is Q merely chose that letter out of ignorance.) trump owns the entire Q demo. He own the Incel demo. He own the white supremacist demo. He own the racist demo. He owns the Neo Nazi demo. He owns the fascist demo. He own the non-college fat old white guy demo. That accounts for about 99.9% of his support. Not exactly good people. trump owns the people who are so stupid they fall for his lies about 'stolen election', and are so prone to violence they engaged in the insurrection and terrorist attack on the Capitol. The jailed insurrectionists are not 'hostages' or 'political prisoners'. They are terrorists.
  24. It is. Kipling might call it the Smart Man's Burden. I won the Birth Lottery. I didn't deserve it, but it is a fact. If I deny it, I'm being dishonest. Those people who "despise Washington" for the most part, are ignorant losers. They are the kind of people who say, "Keep govt out of my Medicare". They fail to understand the job of govt, but would be the first to moan and whine if govt let them down. Michael Lewis wrote about govt in one of his well-research books. Many people fail to understand the billions of things anonymous govt workers do to keep things in order. There is zero market for some things govt does, so it falls on govt to do them. Things like food safety, testings new drugs, building Interstate highways, even defense...idiots call it Socialism, but we all benefit from it. Right wing hate taxes, but love the $800 billion/year military. The left wing doesn't mind taxes, but mostly on the rich, and love social programs. I'm rich, so I pay a lot in taxes, but I appreciate I am protected from bad food or dangerous drugs or attack from abroad by entities funded by my taxes. I also appreciate that folks who cannot make it on their own or suffer a malady get help from the govt. I guess I'm an old school moderate liberal. I was not in favor of the trump-Repub tax cut, because I knew it would only explode the deficit. I know it would create zero jobs, because US companies had already borrowed to the hilt under ZIRP, so the lower tax rate on repatriated profits would do nothing except lead to higher bonuses. I despise trump for many reasons, which are obvious to anyone with brains. It amazes me that anyone with an IQ above a turnip could think he is anything other than a self-serving, psychopathic POS. In fact, I think the turnip IQs are trump's limit of support.
