People have been warned against buying gold bars from unofficial sources as they may be fake, the Government Public Relations Department said in a Facebook post on Thursday

    who would've have thunk it...?!

does your government use facebook to communicate important messages to the population?!

This one uses the national press, also (that's where you read it), same as every other government.

So the accident occurred at 5:30 am. She presented herself at 4:10pm. Its no surprise she had no alcohol in her body!

Exactly. That's why she waited before turn herself in. This 24 hours 'grace' time allows all the drunks to sober up. That's why they drive off. Don't stop. No penalty. Crazy,

Drunk, or on the phone. Or both. Why did she seem to swerve towards the unfortunate monk?

It's a shame to disappoint you lot but...

"Ms Yanaphat has been charged with reckless driving causing death or injury and fleeing the crime scene".

he was hit from behind by a minibus while riding a motorcycle.

RIP ... another road casualty based on poor driving

Yes, but whose poor driving?  That has not been made clear yet everyone here is blaming the bus driver.  He may well have been at fault but there were two parties in this accident.

That's my point, you don't know what happened or who was to blame, do you?

and you do know what happened, do you? I am only going by what the report said, the Danish guys friend said in the report that he was riding his motorbike and was hit from behind.

I will repeat it again just for your benefit, "the report said the motorbike was hit from behind". Got it?

No, I do not know what happened, that's why i have not apportioned blame, unlike some others!  How did he happen to get hit from behind was my point.  Got it?

Same reason many people use the term European, Asian or South American without criticism, I suppose, but does it matter?   Are you saying that he isn't an African or maybe you think he will be mistaken for someone from Seychelles?

What im saying is seems like a deliberate attempt to  demonize dark skin people

No, it doesn't, that's just how you're choosing to interpret it.  This is not about "demonizing" (Jesus...) a group of people, it's about one particular African.

How did it come to hit him from behind?

I don't know, did you not read the report? That's what it said, would it really have said that if that was not the case?

That's my point, you don't know what happened or who was to blame, do you?

I'm not disputing that he was hit from behind, I'm asking how did that come to happen?   Nowhere did it say that the minibus drove directly into him from behind with no contribution from the rider.

I do wonder how the 9,000 foreigners treated over the last year causes 448 Million in bills to be unpaid.

That's not was reported, you're mixing up two comments from two different sources about different subjects.

"Prachachat said that huge increases in tourism across Asia - with governments driving growth in the sector - have brought substantial problems for hospitals...From October 2018 to September 2019 448 million in bills went unpaid".

That's a comment about the total amount of unpaid bills.

"Vachira Hospital, the largest in Phuket, treated 9,000 foreigners over the last year. Most of them were Russian, Chinese and French, said hospital director Dr Chalermpong Sukhonthaphon...And half of all patients left without paying their bills.

And that's a comment from one hospital director about it own problems.

There were 100 masseuses before the pandemic struck - now there were barely ten.

There were just no customers to speak of.

so 90% unemployment then ? People are going to starve to death long before covid gets at them

It didn't say that the 90 who don't work there now are unemployed.
