Why, oh why, would they let these foreign soldiers out of their hotel to go to a shopping mall and "other places"?  It's bad enough that they were permitted to transit through Thailand.  All the hard-won gains of the lock-down, social distancing and mask-wearing can be lost with just a few lapses like this.

It's bad enough that they were permitted to transit through Thailand.

    Is it, why?

Why, oh why [sic] are you, and many others here, appearing to suggest that the Egyptian was the source and carrier of his infection?  Perhaps he was fine until he went to the mall etc. and actually caught it from an infected person there, unrelated to the Egyptian Air Force?

Mazda 2. It's ok if you are on the small side. I am 180 cm and not fat but felt far too cramped. I bought a Ciaz because it was big for the price. If you run on 95 fuel it has decent power for daily driving.

"If you run on 95 fuel it has decent power for daily driving".

95 fuel octane rating doesn't give an engine any significant or noticeable power advantage over lower octane fuel.

Here in the US, from 1996 on, there is an ODB port under the steering wheel that you can plug an ODB reader in and it will tell you what is wrong with many things with the car.

No sure if Thai cars have this 0DB port.

What are the chances that a Thaivisa reader asking about the viability of buying at the lowest end of the market will have the access and ability to use, never mind interpret, the output of an OBD reader?

One thats had regular servicing ,so that  leaves out one hell of a lot of Thai owned cars.

As 99% of cars in Thailand are owned by Thais and Thai dealer servicing departments are always busy what are the chances of finding anything that doesn't have a Thai owner or hasn't had the required maintenance?

100 policemen needed help from security personnel to execute a civil judgment?

The article didn't say that there were 100 RTP officers involved...

"PHUKET: The notorious illegal beach club at Nui Beach in Karon, where tourists for years were extorted entry fees and even threatened with violence, has been torn down by officials for illegally occupying state forest land.

More than 100 officers descended on the site..."

The article referred to 100 officials/officers, i.e. provincial and local government officers, ISOC officers and RTN security officers who were supported by RTP officers as explained in the link.

Items that have duty to be paid are not normally held at the Bangkok Post Centre, they are sent to the local post office covering the addressee's area which then sends an advice of the duty payable so that it can be paid and collected locally.

Did you miss this quote: "Your item is being held in Customs at 10:58 am on July 9, 2020 in BANGKOK MAIL CENTRE, THAILAND."

    No, I didn't miss it.

Did you miss that he hasn't had any advice delivered to him yet?   That quote is probably from when he tracked it online.  If he'd had the advice sent to him he wouldn't be asking where he has to go to get it, would he, as it's location and duty payable will be on that official advice, won't it?

Now 5 days later the package addressed to Stadtler has not moved, nor has Stadtler received a notice in the post about this package.

THP Contact Center 1545.  Call them and ask them, they speak English.

If you haven't had an advice from them yet the chances are that the delivery process is just delayed and, in due course, you'll either get the item delivered or a duty payable advice from the post office that covers your area.
