The wife said she would surrender to police at the end of the month.

I thought that it was normal to arrest people on the spot ,Take  them in custody and than Front the Judge Than go on Remand in Jail if they don't get Bail and wait for the Trial. but hey this is Los .must give the people time to  Hide/Escape/Leave the Country.

It is, but she's in hiding so the police cannot do what they would do in normal circumstances but, hey, this is Thaivisa forum.

the terrible noise that Ford in Phuket had been telling me for one year was coming from a bearing in the differential was in fact coming from the bad wheel bearing in front! Lesson learned is don't trust the dealer

Well, don't trust that dealer, it is not representative of the entire dealer network.

I do know what I meant - I asked a reasonable question about what cars were manufactured in Rayong

Not exactly!  In that post you specifically referenced GM and GWM, I was asking you which manufacturer you meant...

"SHIJIAZHUANG (Xinhua) — China’s leading sport utility vehicles (SUV) and pickup maker Great Wall Motors on Monday said it will purchase General Motors’ Rayong car production facility in Thailand.

According to a binding agreement inked by the two companies, the transaction and handover, which include a car plant and a power assembly plant in Rayong currently operated by the Detroit carmaker, are expected to be completed by the end of 2020".

That's why I asked you to clarify and that's why your response that you had "no idea" was so odd.

What is this about? Why would a fake letter inviting a particular Egyptian guy to Thailand be circulating online and why would Thailand's Comptroller General's Department have to step in and say it is a fake?

They didn't do a good job of writing this article.

You didn't do a good job of reading this article.

Someone was trying to make it easier for the Egyptian to get a visa by submitting false supporting documentation, that's what it is about.

The CGD had to be involved because the letter purported to have been issued by the Ministry of Finance, they said it was fake because it was fake and there were social media reports circulating about it.

I agree, except for the part where you resort to that old Thaivisa-poster chestnut that "B500 and a wai and the matter is ended".  That nonsense just gets more ridiculous every time someone trots it out once again as though it is fact.

Yes but only yesterday, truck lost part of its load of timber, driver got fined 500 baht.

Sadly 500 baht fine appears to be the norm.

Sadly, losing part of it's load isn't assault.

Yes a celebrity alright, a celebrity abuser, needs taken down a peg or 2.

Being that he is a celebrity and she just a pump operator, 500 baht and a wai and matter ended.

Police should do their job arrest him for serious assault.

I agree, except for the part where you resorted to that old Thaivisa-poster chestnut that "B500 and a wai and the matter is ended".  That nonsense just gets more ridiculous every time someone trots it out once again as though it is fact.
