If you are using Google maps you should be able to force it to go through bang Len …if not then just add a stop which would be Bang Len. Avoid Nakhon Pathom like the plague ….

Also consider a Treadmill Stress Test. Shows how your heart works under load. But as many have said 51bpm at rest is not abnormal for a fit person at rest. And you were of course laying down so very little load on your body. Sometimes Google can make you almost <deleted> yourself …

Go via Bang Len.

As I mentioned the owner of the dog said to go to hospital and he will pay for everything … I guess I’ll split it with him …after all if I wasn’t here it wouldn’t have happened …………I estimate that the total cost will be around 11k thb … as you say not really worth thinking about I had been thinking about getting the Pre Exposure jabs for a while, guess I should have been more Pro active. There are quite a few Soi dogs around entry road to our village.
-
Yes I normally do but it was so close I didn’t want to risk it.
-
Thanks for that, so as you seem to be an expert how much should Rabies Post Exposure be? I could’ve gone to a government hospital, but it’s all hassle.

Was out walking earlier today when a small dog started to followed me too close for comfort… It didn’t like me trying to get it to go away and I ended up with one tiny puncture wound in my wrist. Took a picture of the dog and my wife posted it on the Village LINE account with a note saying that I had got bit by it. In about half an hour the owner came around to our house, very concerned. Said that the dog was vaccinated for Rabies 6-7 years ago but that I should go to hospital and that he would pick up the bill. Hospital said that I need the full Rabies course …five injections plus a tetanus booster. Rabies injection went into the area of the wound and also into same upper arm. Tetanus booster injection into the other upper arm. Not an exactly small dressing put on my wrist I was told to clean the area of the tiny puncture wound thoroughly tomorrow and apply a waterproof plaster. Also given five days of tablets to stop infection. I was very pleased how quickly I was treated. Went straight to the triage nurse. She looked up my profile then said that I must see the doctor. Seen straightaway by the doctor who checked my profile again. She explained that I must have the full course and that it’s very important to go back for the rest of the injection on the days they stipulate. All done after about ten minutes … I went to Mongkutwattana Hospital …it’s very close to where we live. Obviously very impressed. This time the bill was 3185baht and I think that the other four injections will be 1500baht ish each. Cheap or expensive whatever I’m happy. I think that I understand the injection that the dog had were to protect it from getting Rabies.

Mike, thanks for all the hard work. I remember seeing somewhere that you would be writing about GIFTS, but now I can’t remember where. Have you written anything yet please? -

Bang Phili is a big 2nd hand car spares area. But if you Google something like car scrapyards in Bangkok it will show a few. -
Lamina have five film qualities …the best being Special Series. Crystalline 70 is a very good choice for the front windscreen, it’s reasonably clear to look through but still rejects heat. Also worth a read https://www.laminafilms.com/en/article/what-is-window-film

I’ve known Jas for as long as I can remember. GG you could be right in suggesting that maybe he is a bit selfish, devious, sneaky and wants a big favour in return for a small one. Transam is now probably his only friend since Crossy dumped him. He has even got a sign on his gate, “FREE PARKING” then in small letters at the bottom “Twenty Baht and Hour after the first hour”. A while back now he changed a washer on one of my taps, next week he reminded me and then said lend me you wife for the evening, mines gone to her mums. His wife is a much better golfer than he is. She told me that he makes her play off the Blues while he plays off the Reds so he can say “look I out drove you” I see her drive away early this morning, gone to Kanchanaburi to play in a Golf Competition later this week. So he’s free and no doubt will be up your way, down Walking Street and asking the young ladies “can I have a Quickie?” and then telling them that his Lumbago is playing up so they will have to lift him on and then off after. Years ago, when his wife had at least one too many Leos, she told me he can be a quickie. Have a bath, do the business and then get back in even before the water gets cold. O, I can’t be bothered with this anymore, I’m going for a <deleted>, same place as this topics heading.

I put my fence up, can’t remember exactly when , but before 2019. I paid a contractor to put the steelwork up. I used Shera, think it was 0.8cm but not sure. I cut the length in half and then cut a flat topped triangle on each piece. I used those self drilling screws. It was initially primed and painted with weathershied, but later used a gloss paint. When cutting I just used a mask,7 inch grinder and fan to blow the dust away from me …. it seems to have stood the test of time, even though MrsJ did her best to pull it down supporting her trees or whatever. I had Covid earlier this year …it didn’t do my heart any good at all. I was given a diuretic to get rid of fluid in my lungs. Only took it for one week but during that time it didn’t do my kidneys a lot do good. Lost a kg though! Now I have been on, extra to as before Covid, a drug called Jardiance. Kidney has improved. With that drug and diet changes my fasting glucose has improved eight points. I feel that my heart is better also. if you retire here you should enjoy.

Coolant mixing with oil - how big an issue usually?
PFMills replied to mfinasi's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
OK .. bit late replying … sorry. You attach the gear to the highest point and suck …it will turn yellowish If CO2 is present …pic just testing the gear on wife’s car. You need to run the engine and test over about 30 mins but if a problem should see within a few minutes … -
Coolant mixing with oil - how big an issue usually?
PFMills replied to mfinasi's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Not really …well yeah it is …run the engine with a hose in where the radiator cap goes ..after a while stop the engine and add a quantity of liquid soap. Run the engine until hot as possible, ensure heater set to hot. Leave to soak. Then flush all the soap etc out …hose in radiator cap area again. Make enough room to add recommended manufactures coolant job done. And as suggested previous …try a head gasket sealant … Google …Do Head Gasket Sealants Actually Work ( Full 2 year test)for interesting video. -

AVia is one of a number of liquids that will identify C02 in the gas within the cooling system. You can Google how it’s done. I gave you bum information, it’s not available to buy in Thailand. WuRTH have similar product but only available to the trade, there maybe be other similar products available here but I haven’t seen any. I know that CT14 Garage have imported it and can do the test. Hope this helps.
