I drove that road yesterday. Very dangerous. Loads of idiots driving way too fast for the conditions, tailgating, weaving in and out of traffic etc., just to be in front. Not only foreigners, a Thai in a pickup and a minivan were the worst culprits from what I experienced.

I arrived at the airport when the Yellow Shirts first arrived. They were a young armed militia. I initially mistook them for security as they were erecting a roadblock. I parked my car and flew out on one of the last flights to Phnom Penh. Got stranded in PP for a few more days than I originally planned, but it was the best kept secret in Asia at the time so wasn't bothered. Funnily enough, I was in Phnom Penh years before when the coup happened, and watched in unfold on BBC in Heart of Darkness and Howie's next door.

Then Thaksin would never have had to remove the CEO Viroj and stop the bank haemorrhaging money. Then Sondhi would have had no vendetta against his old friend Thaksin. Guys, you can post confused and laughing emoticons all you want, but I am a grower, and it is impossible to grow outdoors, where the brick weed is grown without some sort of pest control. Thai farmers use a lot of glyphosate on other crops which has been proven to cause cancers. Here is a study from the US about brick weed containing harmful chemicals. Paraquat was applicated to control the illicit grows in Mexico. The main problem I have with brick weed is the chemicals. They will absolutely be using dangerous pesticides like paraquat and similar on those plants. I would not be touching it.
