Police Prepare For Nationwide Protests, Parliament Heavily Guarded
So, Prawit as PM at the head of a minority government. I can see this happening. Pita received 324 votes, with 182 against and 199 abstentions. 705 voted. So, if those against and the abstentions vote for Prawit there is a clear majority of more than half which is enough.

Every scenario is nightmarish
No he won't. He will be banned from politics due to the shareholding in iTV and MFP disbanded.

Crushing tragedy: Cement truck crash claims life of Swedish motorcyclist in Pathum Thani
I am always amazed at the reckless, dangerous manner in which many Thais drive their trucks around Thailand. I am sure they would never do this if there were a proper Police force, checks on vehicles, checks on driving standards, and punishments for breaking traffic laws.

Who will be paying the protesters their 500thb daily allowance this time?

Police Prepare For Nationwide Protests, Parliament Heavily Guarded
Typical in Thailand though. Attention to detail is not a forte.

Thai-China Collaboration to Address Chinese Criminal Activities in Thailand
Last October: In one of the world's worst child death tolls in a massacre by a single killer in recent history, most of the children who died at the daycare centre in Uthai Sawan, a town 500 km (310 miles) northeast of Bangkok, were stabbed to death, police said. https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/least-20-people-killed-mass-shooting-thailand-police-2022-10-06/

Eh? Back up your claims with evidence, not with anecdotal nonsense. Thanks in advance.

Thailand: Pita’s loss is Thaksin’s gain
They say people get the government they deserve, and by voting Palang Pracharath at the last election and voting in favour of the last constitution, they've only got themselves to blame for the current situation.

Woman arrested with 2.3kg of cocaine in her backpack at Bangkok airport
Unfortunately, because she was caught entering Thailand, and not Australia for example, she will now not be eligible for a career in politics.

Why would the accounts of the CEOs stall legal proceedings? ????

Live Update : Will it be Pita?
Good on him. No compromise.

Live Update : Will it be Pita?
They were elected on the pledge to amend 112, and if they do go back on that they will lose a lot of their core support base. Best for them to continue to play the long game, wait it out, and keep their policies the same imo. It’s only a matter of time.

Third Suspect In Murder Of German Businessman Nabbed In Kanchanaburi
Loads of them on the run, up in the NT. I was staying at a company apartment up in Darwin and summons from the court would appear weekly for one of the guys staying there. He was from Brissy IIRC. Eventually he did another runner when Police arrived to apprehend him. He must have known they were coming as he had packed his bag but had no time to take it with him. When I got back from work it was out the front of the apartment but he was nowhere to be seen. Never saw him again after that.

Pita’s chance of becoming next prime minister shrinks on eve of Parliamentary vote
Plenty of examples of incompetence within the last government. I quite like this article from the Thai Enquirer: The Prayut Chan-ocha epoch will hang over Thailand foreseeable future. So great were its faults and so damaging its policies, that the mist of this era will blanket and cloud the next one for some time to come. https://www.thaienquirer.com/50166/the-indelible-fool-prayut-era-influential-and-unwanted/

Thaksin postpones his return to Thailand
Sorry, that is incomprehensible. Again, what specific parts of his post are distorted? The post did not mention anything about who fired first and if we are arguing that point, it was the military that fired first when the protests were elsewhere in the city. The army were pictured on TV shooting live ammo at protesters while Abhisit was on TV saying no live rounds were being used. The M16's the soldiers were using cannot fire blanks without the proper suppressors being fitted. Not all people killed in the army assault at Rajaprasong were red shirts, journalists, nurses, and civilians were killed as well, and it has never been properly investigated or anyone held accountable.

Pita’s chance of becoming next prime minister shrinks on eve of Parliamentary vote
Tourists won't care, they never have before. Still arrived in significant numbers during political turmoil, the only exception was when the Yellow Shirts shut down Thailand's international airports, which cost the country billions.

What is distorted in that post? Everything is factually correct.

EC sends Pita shareholding case to Charter Court
People already look at me funny when I tell them I have lived through 3 coups. Imagine when I tell them I have lived through 4! Most people don't even experience one!

EC sends Pita shareholding case to Charter Court
The soldiers will stay in their barracks unless there are militant and prolonged protests from the opposition (see Red Shirts, Rajadamri, 2010). This is so typically Thai though. A shambles from top to bottom.

Two Germans Arrested In Murder Of Businessman
I knew the guys that committed that crime. They used to drink in Suk Soi 22 in Bangkok. All were Americans, not Brits. The British passport was a fake.
