  1. Toyota Vigo and Isuzu pick ups are virtually identical mechanically. Likewise, Ford Ranger and Mazda BT500s. I have had a Mazda BT500 manual transmission. She handled so well. Miss the feel of driving her. I have a Ford Ranger now (auto transmission). Can't complain. Working fine at 180,000km on the clock.
  2. Living in Dreamland. I can assure you women have their own metrics to judge us by.
  3. That's the Western way. My dad's circle of friends are: an engineer, a taxi driver, a teacher, a cook, a layabout scamming the social, a fireman, and a construction worker. They all meet up and sit around the same table drinking the ssme beer. Friends since school. That simply doesn't happen in Thailand - people here stick to their own class The Western way sounds nice and civilizated, but I do wish I hadn't married a Thai women from the absolute lowest plane of civilization here. My kids would have been better off, and myself (and I ain't talking about finances only).
  4. Surprised by this. Lazada sucks compared with Shopee.
  5. Sounds like a porky. She lost the money gambling.
  6. I was raised in upper middle, probably, but my family are a migrant family and very working class - so it's hard to say exactly. I have worked minimum wage, blue collar, and white collar. In Thailand, I am very much better off than the average, I would say. Who knows where I fit in here, lol? I have lived in the lowest socio-economic area in Thailand and also am loosely part of Thailand's high society - yet I am swilling Chang at an Issan street stall as we speak. I studied in a top 20 high school in my country and my kid studies in arguably perhaps the top school in Thailand. I have used my body and mind to work for money and also my money works for me. I dunno, anyway, I think I am class tho. Funny thing is: the only people who have treated me like I am lower than them are the lowest of the low in Thailand. I suppose they have to be higher than someone, or at least feel like they are. But the true elite here are graceful.
  7. It is a funny thing. Even those in Thailand's high society are also working class people. And then there are those out in Issan with nothing to do except play with their car collection.
  8. Off topic, I know, but it doesn't warrant its own thread. I have a question: what is going on with not being able to sit near the street at a bar right now? On Soi 4 Sukhumvit right now, nobody is allowed to sit near the street in ANY bar. Has the government made some wierd rule causing this??!
  9. What a lot of rubbish. Handicapped people work at Tesco. Ladyboys work at 7eleven. Gays and Toms are everywhere from top to bottom (excuse the pun). What's the problem with migrant workers? They chose to come here. The "poor" in rural areas have 1-2 million in farmland per household, not to mention are home owners. They are asset rich, liquid poor. It is not the same as "poor" like some in the Khlong Toei slum. Dark skinned people? What are you on about? You can find darker skinned Thais working at elite schools. They aren't discriminated against because they come from Isaan or how they look.
  10. Totally with you on this one. I have been MGTOW for about 5 years now. I really don't need a woman for anything. Well, I could use 15 mins of her time.
  11. Was down Fitzgerald's on Soi 4 last night from 9pm onwards. 99 a pint of Leo. 109 a pint of Singha. Good pints, good location. Cant beat the price for evening drinking in the area. Another little farang bar right across the road was charging 120 for small bottles of Singha, 130 for pints of Tiger and 150 for pints of Heineken (evening prices of course; daytime prices were 100, 100, and 120, respectively). There is quite a range in prices in the immediate area. Some places have noticeably put their prices up since covid with the general attitude of, "I lost money so I will claw it back from my customers" but others were always that expensive. Gotta love the few places that haven't put their prices up since covid, or charge the same price for drinks all day and night: The Red Lion, Fitzgerald's are perhaps the only two that spring to mind in the lower Sukhumvit area.
  12. Yeah, but the thing is once gay marriage is granted that opens the door for a lot of other things. It isn't enough that they are allowed to have the same civil rights through marriage (i.e. right to each others property, pension).....and by the way I think gay couples should have those rights......but then if they are married they want the right to kids and it just keeps going. Next thing, they have the right to dress their kids how they want. They have the right to use puberty blocking hormones (until the child or they decides to have puberty). Marriage just opens the door to all these other things. It becomes a can of worms. If a man and a woman can't make a baby due to a medical problem they get medical help with that and in many places paid for by the state. But if two woman are married and they can't make a baby (because nature simply doesn't allow), they want they same benefits (artificial pregnancy paid for by the state). It seems we are unable to draw a line anymore without the extreme fascist left calling us bigots or something.
  13. I don't see why gays shouldn't have civil rights just like regular people. But where do you draw the line? Should there be a line? Adoption? Boys being sent to school in dresses? That happened in France, right? Puberty blocking hormones for confused kids? Impressionable kids being taught WAY WAY more than just sexual health and safety. Where does it stop? I dunno, who knows? I am definitely not an Adam and Eve guy, but I ain't sure about Adam and Steve, either. Can I say that? Seems like there is not free speech in the world anymore. If you question the agenda, it's hate speech. At what point does it all become perverted? What I can't get my head around is this massive push in this direction. Where is it coming from all of a sudden?
  14. Of course they tasted like ass. They are chewed by low class old Asian women. All they eat is ass.
  15. Over the last two months I have been hit with two mysterious charges on my phone bill for "Information and Entertainment" but True. Last month was 120 baht and this month is 300 baht (extra). I have no clue what it is. The SIM card is in my wife's name, but I have used it for almost a decade. I am waiting for her to go to True shop. Any ideas? Really <deleted> off with True's service in general, but have home internet with them too n can't be bothered changing everything to another company.
  16. For me, the lack of responsibility, yet entitlement is hard to swallow. Or maybe that's not just Thais, but women in general.
  17. Or you could just let them go away for free, lol. The world is nuts about STDs.
  18. Yeah, the irony. Right? Remove 6, get 12. Lol. I like to get warts from sex, not surgery.
  19. It's the Ace up the sleeve, man. I honestly think they think they live on another plane of existence from the rest of the world.
