You can purchase/buy an education visa? I'm shocked, don't you need to prove that you are going regularly to class and are actually learning?
I believe Russian agents are all over this.....apparently they are for sale !

So do you they bought it from an 'agent', or they went thru the correct channels. Class twice a week seems a bit iffy?
Of course its not my business, but asking for a friend!
They bought it, agent I assume he said around 15,000 Hua Hin - Phuket 50-60,000, 2 classes a week ( they chose English language ), corruption at its best...

Something wrong here.
My young Russian temporary neighbour who escaped to Thailand and now they have left for Hua Hin after purchasing an Education Visa to live in peace for a year and go to class twice a week, she mentioned on one occasion that the majority here are Putin supporters..... something is definitely wrong here................

but it was Anutin, who refused to contract reasonable quantity the Astra Zeneca, even if offered so by the AZ. That was for $6 per dose. If they contracted earlier they would pay only just over $2 per dose.
A few months later thailand was forced to buy over 50mln sinovac at $20/dose - in the meantime refusing india's ambassodor donation of millions doses.
And many more millions of sinopharm on order of princess - that one outside of health ministry. Again, some $20/dose.
That much public money was wasted by Anutin's negligence. Just short of $1bln down the drain.
If not pfizer donation of 1.5mln in 08.2021 by the usa government and 400k of AZ by the UK, the majority of foreigners in thailand would not have any jab well into 2022. Another 1mln donation of pfizer never made it to thailand, because thai embassy in washington didn't bother with filling up some essential paperwork for the shipment.
Don’t forget the forgotten 300k AZ from Bhutan as well !

Once i recall the Russians credit cards were not accepted in Thailand...did that change? I suppose a lot of them arrived with a big stash of cash as maybe not so easy to transfer $$ from russian banks but i really do not know....overall seems that immigration would have a lot of questions for arriving Russians but so far what i see is Thai poitiicans doing special welcomes to LOS photo ops with flower garlands for Russian charter flights.
Who knows but it sure seems that there could be a massive number of overstays or flat out don't leave til caught or war ends one of these years
Well whoever is skipping their return flights and are under 50 only option is Education Visa which are for sale I've been told by my Russian neighbour who fled - Phuket 50-60,000 baht, Hua Hin 15-20,000 baht....brown bags......

So what kind of visa does the typical Russian get to visit Thailand? 45 days on arrival? tourist visa? or some sort of long term?
Sure seems to me that there could well be a lot of Russians not anxious to go back to Putin land when their visa options all expire? Will Thailand round them up and deport them? Or maybe they move over to cambodia for a few years?
Makes ya wonder if Thai Authorities in late October where aware for many Ruskies it was not the usual holiday escape but a one-way ticket with no intention of returning in 45-60-90 days........

I assume the price in Hua Hin is for the initial Non Ed visa, and does not include the three no-hassle extensions. Even so, 15,000 baht is remarkably cheap. I cannot imagine it includes high quality lessons for those who actually want to learn Thai.
I'm sure in this case, it's a 'I don't want to return home visa' nothing more......

I've got a young couple Russian neighbour ( He's a fleeing soldier ), they are off to Hua Hin next month where they can purchase an Education Visa for 15-20,000 baht and apparently the going rate in Phuket is 50-60,000 baht........corruption corruption flourishing due to the Ukraine War.............

A lot less unruly Russians to deal with wearing tight girly style bathing gear on the beaches.
Speaking of an unruly Russian, one in his ever popular speedos, no shirt, was in the cooking area at a market standing over a bbq flipping shrimp, fish, chicken etc. I assume it was his own order, the locals working there did not remove him so I loudly asked him twice if he had a work visa he looked up and smirked and continued with his bbq. Come on Thai's don't put up with that BS...........

No one in Russia is innocent of the atrocities the Russian country is committing each day. Thais should be ashamed of themselves, but they never learn beyond the tourist dollar.
Just to add to that, I just heard the going rate for the education visa in Phuket is 60,000 baht, my young Russian neighbour ( military ) and his wife will probably head to Hua Hin in 5-6 weeks to obtain it there for 30,000 baht......well done immigration.......
