So, what do you suggest? Americans should stay home or vote third party. I believe everyone has a civic duty to actually make a choice and vote. Even if that vote is a vote against a candidate.

Do an about face and shock the world, vote Haley, something new and fresh......probably be a good 4 years for America...

I was a flight attendant with Air Canada for 10 years and did some flying as well. You are correct from your perspective about landing in fog. But, your perspective is looking out your window down at the ground. The pilots' perspective is looking straight ahead thus they are seeing the fog completely different than you are. It is much thicker  looking straight ahead. There's also the legal limits of flight set by the proper government authorities that dictate how far you can see which then dictates whether landing or taking off is possible or not.

Having said this, I agree that Thais are way too sensitive to criticism. Which is to say they can't handle it at all. Also, Thai Airways sucks!

I would say Air Canada can work a little more on their people ( customer ) skills as well.............

The 're-entry permit office' as you call it... is actually 'Immigration'... it doesn't close.

So if thats your only concern, then its moot...    the 'stress part'.. I don't understand that, but its individual, so if someone prefers to do this before hand, thats their choice. Obtaining a re-entry permit is very simple to do at the airport or at CW...

Oh ok I thought it was some area at passport control that may not be manned all the time, getting a re-entry works for me right at extension time anyway.....or the airport no stress......

Did a few VERY long haul (Hong Kong to Toronto nonstop) trips in the past 6-8 years on Cathay Pacific. Good service, lots of attention and drink flowing smoothly, easy on the eyes flight crew as a bonus.

Flew Scare Canada once from Tokyo to Calgary.   Once.   Wide hipped battleaxes slinging hash at the cattle, window shades down please! as soon as meal service was done (the better to keep the sheeple asleep and not demanding service), lots of noise and gossip from the galley that precluded getting any rest.  Never again.

Air Canada is offering Vancouver to Bangkok non-stop '16 hours' Dec. - Apr. Far too much time to clash with 'Battleaxe' flight attendants - nice not to transit but no thanks........

When applying online for the 90-day type O, did you have to show an equivalent deposit in a local bank?

Couple years ago an online  90-day Non O from Thai Embassy in home country wanted to see your local bank statement with 800,000 Thai baht equivalent among the 7-9 other questions, then you'll have 60-70 days or so plenty of time to open a Thai Bank account and get the 800k over for your extension. You may though need 90 day health insurance for the application as well if you can find 90 day insurance. We are not as fortunate as the Russians...........
