The school and the neighbourhood should be ashamed.. They know what is happening and left the kid alone.. The school should have interfered as he did not come, and many other organizations failed, as we are used in Thailand...Nothing for the poor but everything for the rich.

Not only the human trafficking is thread but also I think there nothing special anymore ... I was a few days in Bangkok and there were only restaurants as Japanese, Thai, Korean and Chinese and everywhere MK like style restaurants... Nothing else to find. Happily in the soi of our hotel there was El Gaucho an Argentinian restaurant a French restaurant and a Tapas bar... And the shops are all over the same, cosmetics, clothes, shoes and drugstores...So I was wondering what has Thailand to offer to tourists??? Shopping is very expensive eating is everywhere the same choices, and danger on roads and scams all over the country... No wonder people going to find other destinies.

Mr Anutin is too budy with other things as he still refused to sign the law again. Except that it is a pity that th organization of the mass wedding did not announce what they are organazing. Simply a autograph will not attrack many couples, but with several activities it would be possible to get many people as they wanted.

So what are they going to do? Many are vaping on the street, even policemen, government officials, guards, and many others.. How can you forbid something that is out of control already. looks the same as the law to wear a helmet. A foreigner is finef, the Thai can do

Notably, Trat, Yala, and Samut Songkhram recorded no fatalities.
and many provinces will probably not give the correct numbers as they don't want to be a dangerous looking province... Anyway as long as there is no better driving education and no enforcement of traffic laws 24/7 365/365 it will be dangerous on the roads and become even more every year.. Read the narticle of the 13 year old one who died on a motorcycle. as an example, and make parents responsible for the lack of responsibility to keep the kids away from their motorcycles. Here in my soi another 4 grade kid is driving around on a motorcycle...

The Thaksin clan is several times removed by coups already... Why should it be this time different?? Thaksin is already too much involved and the PM is more busy with her family and business than with the country

That number is lower than in the past years, but maybe that is why they made it 10 days. , This year average of 36 a day Last year 284 in 7 days is average of 40.. It looks better, although for many families more grief than party for 2025, and next Songkran again for other families and it goes on and on

I want to see the first foreign man married to a Thai man register their marriage, claim the Thai man to be the "husband" and the foreign man the "wife" in the marriage, and demand the same considerations as foreign women who are married to a Thai men.
For you gay expats out there - here's your chance. No more proving financial requirements, and after three years of marriage you can apply for Thai citizenship, just like the foreign wives of Thai men.
Whose gonna be the first one up to give it a shot?
You are well informed... The law is changed from man and wife into person.... No man and wife anymore... all the rest is the same

Do tell. Seems to me that some are just jealous. She just has a nice amount of assets. It is nothing much to make a fuss about.
In 2021, Thailand had about 125,400 millionaires and 1,300 multi-millionaires. In 2023, almost 900 ultra-high-net-worth individuals in the country had an estimated $30 million or more in wealth -https://www.forbes.com/sites/alexledsom/2024/11/21/what-it-means-to-be-wealthy-in-thailand-and-how-to-get-visas-to-move/
that are 127.600 people on a population of 76 million....And who are these rich? Ministers, military, and others and some business people...The people with debt and no money is many times higher

Jeremy Clarkson is worth 70 million USD that includes large real estate holdings and vehicles. Their homeland media doesn't pester them as you would have Thai media pester the PM. On the contrary, Jay Leno's vehicles are envied and Clarkson's obnoxiousness is celebrated.
The woman likes purses. Some men and women have jewellery worth much more. Others collect baseball cards or comic books. Action Comics #1 sold for $6 million USD. No one made a fuss over it as you are doing over a lady's collection of purses.
Sadly to read comment like this... you have to get some more things to learn i think

Sad to see and read that so many comments are so badly informed about gays and the same sex marriage.. Comments enough but they have no clue.. Foreigners can marry Thais, but everybody has to be informed even the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the British Embassy indeed doesn"t give permission yet... Only when Anutin has signed again to confirm...

Not true. Only some. The British Embassy is refusing to issue the necessary paperwork for British citizens to register their marriage. It's currently unclear when they will do so. It's an absolute disgrace.
Anutin has to sign first so that all countries are being informed, but he refuses it seems..Probably to show he has power

As another posted has already noted, Anutin has nothing to do with the law going into effect. But even if he did, embassies can issue whatever documents they want, regardless of what Thai laws may or may not be in effect - and they also don't "give the permission to get marry", they just give documentation that their citizen is free to marry (or claims to be so).
According to Bangkok Pride, who is organizing the mass wedding, Anutin has to sign to confirm and several Embassies will not give the permission if this is not done yet...Can find on facebook under Bangkok Pride and you read it in Thai as well in English.. There was confusion first if it would be possible as according to the law 120 after publishing in the Royal Gazette, but the court decided that it only can start from 23rd January, being the 121st day after publishing...
-
It is a big step only Mr Anutin haven't signed the law yet and therefor it is still not possible to get married before he signed it. There is a lot of confusion going on now as Embassies can't give the permission to get marry yet before the law is signed by Anutin, but we all know that this man want to show his power and probably will sign the 22nd

but there is no money for raising the daily wages, there is no need to update the outdated Thai laws, as they can own land and houses in other countries, and they can bring very expensive things from abroad without paying any import tax... They should be ashamed that these superrich people keep the population so poor... If there is karma they will pay for it

Of course you didn't... But, you're still trying too shoe-horn your generalised nasty negative bias against Thailand into the discussion.
So many other nations behave in a similar way. The common characteristics across these regions are: economic necessity, practicality, cultural acceptance and climate - and those counties include:
Vietnam, Indonesia. Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, China, Taiwan, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Benin, DR Congo, Cameroon, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan
Thus: The phenomenon of families riding together on scooters in Thailand but not in Western countries can be attributed to to the factors listed in greater detail below:
Economic Factors
Affordability: In many parts of Southeast Asia, including Thailand, scooters and motorbikes are more affordable than cars, making them the primary mode of transport for families.
Income Levels: Families in Thailand may not have the financial means to purchase a car, so scooters are a practical and cost-effective alternative.
Cultural Norms
Acceptability: In Thailand, it is culturally normal and widely accepted to see multiple people on a scooter. It's a common and efficient way to transport a family.
Community Practices: People grow up seeing others using scooters in this way, reinforcing the norm.
Infrastructure
Urban Design: Many cities in Thailand have dense traffic and narrow streets that make scooters more practical than cars.
Parking: Scooters require less space and are easier to park in crowded urban areas.
Public Transportation: Public transportation in some Western countries is more robust, reducing the need for families to use scooters.
Regulatory Environment
Traffic Laws: Western countries often have stricter traffic laws and enforcement, such as limits on the number of passengers allowed on a vehicle and mandatory use of car seats for children.
Safety Standards: Western safety regulations prioritize car use for family travel, emphasizing crash safety and individual restraints.
Climate
Weather Conditions: The warm and dry climate in Thailand makes riding scooters more comfortable year-round, while colder or wetter climates in much of the West discourage scooter use.
Perception of Safety
Safety Concerns: Many Western families prioritize safety and may view scooters as less safe for transporting children, especially with the risk of accidents.
Helmets and Gear: Western regulations often require all passengers to wear helmets, which may not always align with how families in Thailand use scooters.
Vehicle Ownership Trends
Car Ownership: In Western countries, cars are more common and often considered essential for family transportation. In Thailand, scooters are more accessible to a wider population.
Practicality
Distance and Speed: Families in Western countries often travel longer distances at higher speeds, which makes cars more suitable. In Thailand, scooters are ideal for shorter urban commutes.
Now - if you are going to shoe-horn in your bias, please make sure you present an intelligent argument and not just blind prejudice.
Sounds so simple as I read it but there is no awareness in Thailand, no education in driving, school or at home and everybody drives as they like and no enforcement of any law. In the Western countries the fines are high and must be paid but with the corruption of a few hundred THB you never can control the traffic. The lazy and corrupt RTP is a big part of the problems.. and speeding at longer distances as you claim is totally not true.. Here everybody is speeding even in my soi which is barely 300meters cars and motorcycles drive like crazy...and not only in my soi in many others too as friends experience the same

Nobody will ever understand the politics in Thailand. The Same Sex Marriage Law passed by thye parliament, the Senate , His Majesty the King signed it and it was published in the Royal Gazette.. The law would be active after 120 days but confusion if it was 22 or 23 January. A judge/court had to decide.. Today at last the court gave the verdict it will be 23 January.. But suddenly Mr Anutin must sign the law, and he refuses... so still nobody knows when or if the Same Sex Marriage will go on.. Why is Anutin refusing? he has no power to old it against as the King signed it and approved.. Probably he want to show he has power and will sigh maybe the 22nd. It is a disgrace how the LGHBTQ community is treated by this Government..
And than Ms pupput making nice promisses.. They even can't anything good
-
The numbers are not correct i think... it would mean that the last days almost no deaths were in the traffic accidents as yesterday there were already 175....

More holidays are needed.... and less rules on the roads....it seems every year there must be set a new record...I am so sorry for the people who thought to party , but are in grieve now... and I have no mercy for the ones who speeding, drinking or drugged as a driver.. and I don't know why the police and the Government don't shame themselves with every year putting so many lives at danger.. They should be prosecuted for recklessness

And this kind of accidents are keeping tourists away... It is not safe to travel from A to B on the Thai roads... Maybe Thailand think that the foreign countries don't know about these terrible, irresponsible, and uneducated drivers
