If you look at the page from which that graph was taken, you will find that the change in amount of acreage burned was specifically ascribed to a massive increase in fire prevention.
so you mean to say that the fires isnt correlated to co2, but rather correlated to
management of the forests ?
and that the imagined link to co2 is just a spurious correlation

Hurricanes are not caused by the differential between temperatures at the poles and at the equator. They are caused by the accumulated heat in the oceans and sea. Hotter oceans and seas mean more powerful hurricanes.
no, if everything was of equal temperature, it couldnt happen

It really is simple thermodynamics. The heat we manufacture burning fossil fuels has to go somewhere, it ends up in the oceans. Any meteorologist will tell you the warmer the water, the more intense the hurricane/typhoon/cyclone.
Of course, the denialists with zero scientific training ignore that. Just like they ignore the fact the Larsen Ice Shelf and Greenland ice caps are melting at unprecedented rates, business as usual.
any physicist will tell you work require energy gradients,
and the warmer the planet the less difference between poles and equator, leading to less intense hurricane/typhoon/cyclone.
of course, the hysteria mob ignore the fact that jakobshavn glacier is growing at unprecedented rates,
inane drivel as usual

co2 is good for biomass, and while there are more productive ways to recycle co2, greenpeace are at least trying as they drive their boats, but they need to adhere to traffic regulations at sea or get their driving license revoked

Route 431 through Alabama is nicknamed The Highway to Hell due to the number of fatal accidents that have occured on it.
the reference to alabama was the hillbilly driving in the creek with her car flooding

Dreaming. Water is going to be the end of us, or rather lack of water.
Short of desalination, which is only realistic for rich countries, man is running out of potable water.
Other things too. Our entire way of life depends on computers. One country has most of the rare earth needed to make computers.
Disease is becoming immune to antibiotics and there are no alternatives available as yet. welcome to pre Penicillin life.
Lots of other things that will stuff it up, like governments response to a new flu variant.
water is the very last resource that will become scarce,
one country can make it profitable at current cost,
if the task can be handed over to robots altogether.
the cost goes up, or environment takes a back seat
due to vital interest, all other nations will be mining it too.
medicine science keep on improving as ever,
maybe it has become too good already when people average 80 before they croak ?
we can rest assured that plagues like hippies/climateologists/BLM/[insert nonsense] will become increasingly noisy
as we become richer and can keep dishing out allowances that gives them the time to protest rather then work for a living,
that is the nature of the beast

I have not said that the lottery is not gambling and if he was happy with his activity and could afford there's no problem.
But the topic is on-line gambling. That's a whole different ball game.
And just as an afterthought, how does anyone find the time to check all those lottery tickets for a win?
not a whole different, but slightly different,
more specifically the online gambling solves
your second question: no need to check, the online gambling give a receipt and notify you on your win, and in fact send the sum straight into your account, i can only praise online gambling dens, i honestly could not be ar$ed checking them lottery tickets manually

i predict the city will downsize, a good thing for me personally.
the expat will stick around for the most part,
and that means the businesses i utilize will still be around,
many thais will leave for good, but enough are around that i can get thai massage & thai food whenever i feel like it,
the rest that leaves just means less traffic jam.
i pity the hundreds of thousands of thais that are falling on hard economic times though

When one is buying lottery tickets or betting on the cock fight or similar, you're using money from your pocket. You can see your wallet getting thinner.
When folks are gambling on, let's say an on-line slots or a blackjack site it is all too easy to get caught up in the game and stick just another 100 Baht on the bank card and another and another.
And it happens!
everyone got primary school math education,
you are talking about responsibility but that dont make a difference whether you transfer money electronically or
by paper

You mean you can't tell the difference between dipping into your pocket and spending 80 Baht on a lottery ticket and blowing the household budget via a debit card on these gaming sites? And very often the punters don't even realize they are doing so.
It's a huge problem and good luck to the government if they can find a way of curbing it.
can you elaborate on the difference in practical terms ?
what do you mean with "And very often the punters don't even realize they are doing so." ?

I completely disagree with you. There is no comparison between buying a lottery ticket with money that's in your pocket and the ever growing problem of addiction to and debt being caused by on-line gaming. It's a serious problem worldwide.
whats the difference ?

spot on, but it is at the discretion of those old people, just give them info and guidelines,
then its up to the old people to decide,
based on values only known to them

objectively, poverty is on a downward trend, literacy up,
food production up, all things are getting better,
except when politicians manage to momentarily block
process, like for instance current shut down.

thats not how you do it, enforce shutdown of workplaces and schools, weddings, funerals, and all organized activity.
ban couples from living under the same roof, separate children from parents, many things we can do to prevent human interaction, and dont get me started on sexual interaction

your hypothesis is falsified with the traffic jam prior to covid imo. i agree the fun factor was down and prices up on gogos,
but pattaya wasnt that crowded before

yes for me personally as i do not need a job for income,
but i also got many thai friends that are really struggling now,
and for the first time in 15 years, i now meet random begging requests the moment i leave the hotel building

the cause of this economic disaster is not covid19,
its the knee jerk reaction by politicians that caused it.
i.e politicians caused it single handedly
