never in my life would it occur to me to steal,
the cashier has to pay up the shortcoming,
and she makes 10k a month

the police wont enforce the removal of sidecars anytime soon,
not only does a whole lot make a living out of that sidecar,
its also for me part of the culture.
as an extra bonus no helmet is needed

i think its safe to say the labor referred to are cambodians
& burmese, making up 2.35, million, and the 150k are
westerners/japan working, not a whole lot.
what might the percentage be between westerners working here vs retirees ?

Realistically, how many well-heeled foreigners are there who want to come to Thailand and immediately be herded into quarantine for 14 days before being treated with fear and loathing by the locals? I'm sure there are Caribbean islands that have more to offer them than getting ripped off in Phuket.
i came here to post just that sentiment

i know of a miser that pocketed some bananas
that was a free on the table on his way out,
this customer that eat prawns and meat exclusively
does look like a miser to me.
i am heavy on meat myself, but i recognize
basic economics and dont go that extra mile just to take advantage of others

Scammed,
Maybe TB is not an issue in developed countries, however it sure is in Thailand.
This is the DEATH RATE here. It is 13 per 100,000 that means over 9,000 deaths each and every year. FAR FAR FAR FAR greater than Covid.
Also, most of the deaths from Covid are with people who are both older and with pre-existing conditions. Without those conditions. MOST PEOPLE recover from covid without even needing to be hopsitalized. Give elderly people with pre-existing conditions TB and the same would be true. They would succumb to the complications that the TB played with their compromised system. SO AGAIN, WHY NO CONCERN OVER 9,000 DEATHS BUT SHUTTERING THE COUNTRY OVER 58i didnt state that, messed up quote

Hu? I have zero problems riding with full face helmets. They are more comfortable than having random stuff fly into my face and eyes, the sun burning my skin and the smoke from exhausts causing irritations. The helmet protects my head not just from objects but also from the sunrays. Why do you think even farmers and construction workers working in broad daylight cover their heads in what on first glance might seem like something that would be super hot to wear? Any halfway decent full face helmet has ventilation. And you can flip the visor up to whatever degree necessary. I also didn't like riding with a helmet but that was many years ago when I was riding scooters and didn't have a clue about motorcycles at all. I learned very fast when a bee stung me in the eye while riding. Then I also realized the added comfort. But this is getting off topic.
yes for sure when i did take on the highways years ago
protective glasses was my no.1 priority

what a crazy post! The attitude of I've never had an accident in 40 years on a motorbike so then they not really necessary except to avoid being stopped by police... jeez
the full face helmets that has the potential of being of any use
in the case of a crash is horribly hot in this climate,
i rather take my chances with the traffic then heat induced collapse/confusion/fatigue.
i have seen many thais that bought them,
but they wear the helmet on the top of their head like a hat, rather then pushing it down over their face

TB was eradicated in the UK by vaccination. A few years ago we had a resurgence in the UK when it was brought in by people from South Asia who also refused to be vaccinated. From your graph you can see incidence has fallen year on year in Thailand as more and more get vaccinated.
Don't worry, a Covid vaccine will be along soon and Covid will be eradicated. Then you can stop wearing your mask.
Unfortunately I can't see a vaccine for not wearing a helmet coming along any time soon.
i havnt come across a single person with education that believes covid19 will be eradicated

God help us if and when (as the experts say) a really horrific pandemic one day hits us with a 20% death rate.
yes, lets save up money for if and when that day comes
rather then pi$$ing the money away on a flu with 0.001 death toll targeting the old.
at this rate, we cant afford a defense if the day comes when its needed

our political leaders are confusing cause of the economic hardship,
covid didnt cause it, the politicians enforcing shut down did,
and only when politicians do nothing at all can economy recover

For me 4500 would be a low bill, but i work from home 3 big screens powerful computer ect. Aircon on 24/7, big fridge.
Really depends what appliances you have.
I just moved to a new home with even bigger aircons and a pool, thank god the GF her company is paying. So no more electricity (or housing payments) for me.
the LED screens means nothing at all but that AC does pounding the bill with much the same ferocity as i pound my penis

try reading the whole report, instead of just cherry picking one part ????
with annual burned acreage down roughly 80%,
does the assertion that "We have never seen this amount of uncontained fire across the state,"
make any sense whatsoever to you ?

when will they do something about a-wipe car drivers going true a red light while people are trying to cross in the 15 seconds they have ? CCTV not possible ?
even if thy havnt read up on right of way, most people still feel it instinctively that they havnt right of way over pedestrians,
this taxi driver is rather unique even with thai standards
in that regard
