Soon, the Phuket Sandbox visitors  14 days forced holiday  will have only one choice is " to go home " . with the pandemic raging in other part of  Thailand , one can't expect that Phuket goes back to normality. Bad decision and of course bad timing.

Even if you were quarantine in Bangkok,  returnees, will have difficulty to  leave to the other provinces for fear of spreading the virus.

the visitor in phuket came for a 14 days holiday  only ..No matter of their intention, most of them will go home .  the rest will not be able to go anywhere to any provinces. 

It is the catch 22 ---easy

Just don't report all the cases and the number will go down. who will they open the country to??? mob of Chinese tourists?  desperate Scandinavians needing the beach in December? or Farangs looking for their honey and drinking buddies?

The answer is still few.. why anybody wants to visit Thailand and get sick? There will be no place to go out freely and visit  or travel to other provinces.

Sad situation.. this is the problem for not rolling the vaccines early Spring.. 

the main reason for the people coming to Phuket is to enjoy the island and are not interested going to Bangkok. It is their  2 week trip to Phuket  in a nice 5 star hotels .. their cost is the Covid test  of $350- the price of one extra night in the hotel. They are only spending their money in the 5 star resort only. 

TAT is dreaming to open the country in 120 days when the infected people on a daily count is 6k per day. the pandemic is rampant and apparently this new virus found a way to by pass the  preventive measures .Let me laugh  55555 at their naivety and ignorance. even the medical community are telling them that it is too dangerous to consider normality without vaccination.

My inclination that these rich sheiks from the Middle East are  tired of their nagging wives and children.  They have just send them away to  Phuket with their brother or sister and get out of their way.

At least they will eat at the hotel, and go swimming and that is it. stay there and not go anywhere.. "Happy quarantine"

For them, they will probably go to Europe, Spain  or other countries with their "honey  knowing that their wives are stuck in Phuket for 14 days.

These foreigner living in Thailand should not get preferential treatment over the Thai people, and  force the government to put them first in line. the government has establish a program and it is the same everywhere  else in the world.

so  you take the long  line of people waiting for vaccination and make all of them first in line ===== haha

Majority of Thai people ( making less than $20/day) has no way to go but get vaccinated locally.  Foreign workers(making $200/day or more)  have the option to get it locally or spend the money and go to their home country and get the vaccinated and returned through Phuket.  They should not complain to the government

the government has said many times that they will inoculate all people living in Thailand including foreigners. I do not see an issue here.

I don't blame them leaving.   With half pay , little free food and no medical care,

living in Bangkok is not cheap.  It make logical sense to go back to their home villages.  The only people left are the Burmese workers.. they can't go anywhere

will it make sense for their employer to try to secure some vaccines for them?
