  1. Thailand has opened the flood gates to cheap mass tourism from India and China ... which in turn has driven away quality tourists (who do not want to spend time with mass tourism). Vast majority of indians do not go shopping in malls or eat in restaurants. So when you direct policies to attract cheap tourists, you should not be surprised when you see cheapness around you. Why not attempt to clean up the tourism industry by attracting quality? More numbers is not always better.
  2. The economy needs diversifying from mass cheap tourism. But it's stuck in a constant addiction to the cheap mass tourism because of the actions of the rules put in place. As with ever it's always the quick cheap fix. Policies of letting every man from every country enter thailand and essentially now stay as long as they want is going to harm the country. It will be cheap tourists. Do you see many indian tourists going into shopping malls ? No. The economy has been warned so many times it needs diversifying, the way Malaysia and Vietnam are doing.
  3. When you see the addiction these youtubers get from the outlandish you even begin to question whether the crash was even authentic or staged. Who knows.
  4. Had it not been for Brexit the pound would be hovering around 60 Baht to the pound. Racists ruined it all.
  5. Where was her outrage over domestic white terrorists ?
  6. The vast majority of British in Thailand are racist imbeciles. But the Chinese are worst.
  7. Cheap mass tourism from India and China is an enviromental disaster. Turns away high spend tourists. An absolute disgrace . A country addicted to cheap tourists. No attempts to diversify the economy.
  8. There will only be a coup if a certain country allows it. Times have changes.
  9. Cheap mass tourism wrecking this place. Instead of diversifying the economy, the country is back hooked on cheap tourism. Neighbouring countries have all diversyied their economies to much better success - see Vietnam. But not Thailand, always the easy option. No attempt made to clean it up and attract quality tourists. The enviromental disaster allowing so many people is a disgrace
  10. The open door immigration policy pushed by the current leadership, and allowing long term stays for the whole world - is going to push up rents massively. When local Thai's then suffer, the big business are going to have put wages up. Which is then pushed onto consumers. Everything was okay in Thailand, till they wrecklessly pushed these long term visa policies.
  11. How was having popcorn going to stop the spread of covid ?
  12. Kuala Lumpur has also dealth with toxic taxi cabs too. They've switched almost all their taxis to online apps.
  13. China have eradicated the problem by forcing drivers to have cameras in their cars. If you remove the camera the consequences are stiff.
  14. Despite warnings Thailand agreed to build the bullet train service from China into Thailand. It's not for tourism, it's simply to allow exports to flood Thailand easier. They've done to this all neighbouring countries. They've given Chinese carte blanche to come and live in Thailand with all visa restrictions removed over the past year. Utterly ridiculous and shameful.
  15. Lunacy at the highest level. Not learned anything from Cambodian fiascos. Welcome to the Untied States of China
  16. The crux is you could eat a few small meals, but they could be calorie laden. This is about LOSING WEIGHT, not maintaining. Calories here aren't really counted in restaurants or anywhere. In most western countries it's actually law to display the calorie content.
  17. France is a major world economy, not a developing country. It attracts high quality spending tourists with it's control on visa restrictions. You won't see zero dollar tours in Paris. Secondly, a large majority of french visitors are spread out over many regions, eg Paris, the South of France, the Alps etc and spead over summer and winter months.
  18. Revenue from tourism is down. It's been an absolute disgrace to relax all visa rules for Indian tourists and Chinese tourists. I know many quality high spending tourists who are seeking other destinations as Thailand is only looking at cheap mass tourism.
  19. Just realised my passport is running out of pages, but my DTV is registered to this passport. Is it a case of just bringing my old passport with me everytime i travel, or will it be automatically transferred to the new passport? Or do i have to contact the embassy again?
  20. Nothing will happen, but the Kuwaiti's are totally out of control.
  21. I did Ozempic. As soon as i stopped my cravings for food went into over drive, and put the weight straight back in a few months. Literally my body was craving food every minute.
  22. .... as in trying to lose weight, not maintaining. Calories aren't a major weapon used here - unless you look to buy heavily processed ready made meals. I was eating a single Pad Kaprao a day for a week, and some fruit on the evening. Didn't lose anything. Went behind the scenes to see how this Pad Kaprao was being made (under the guise of being a good customer). My goodness this isn't some healthy meal, little bit of chicken mixed into some spicy veg and some rice. Hell no. Instead the volume of oil used was enough to burn a building. She then proceeds to add 20 large spoons (i literally lie to you not) of sugar, followed by endless volume of a salt called MGM. So you think that's it ... no there were more. Once finished she began to put some butter into it, a proper massive lump !!!!! The sheer volume of salt and MSG put into the rice was astonishing. I came away thinking this isn't just some minor small meal. This is a one hell of a calorie laden meal. My question is to you all ... how on earth do you count calories here and lose weight ?
  23. There seems to be a sort of mini invasion of Kuwaiti's in Phuket. Firstly why is this happening, as far as i am aware the Kuwaiti passport allows travel to most regions around the world. Secondly there behaviour (along with Russians) is appalling, very arrogant. Are they like this back in Kuwait ?
  24. See what happened in Malaysia when leadership stood up to what was going on.
