Why would you love this idea? If the United States were to weaken its support for Ukraine and other democratic nations in the face of Russian aggression, it would indeed create a perception of impunity for authoritarian regimes, and potentially encouraging China to invade Taiwan. The idea of global stability is built on the assumption that nations will respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of other nations.
