I was just told that the Korat office is charging 2400 for an O annual extension. Is this a new rate or are they just short of tea in the office?

US consulate interview for tourist visa
cjinchiangrai replied to NotJoeMama's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
I am looking at starting the application with my wife. I have zero interest in moving back to the US, but I don't get to attend the interview. Happy to show them the Elite visa but getting the officer to read and understand is a problem. I don't mind rolling the dice with the 6700 baht. It would be nice to show her America but there are other places to go. -
Soaring travel costs to Phuket spark tourist backlash
cjinchiangrai replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
The baggage is the big kicker. It costs more than the passenger. I would avoid Phuket this season just to avoid the taxi thieves and drunk Russians.- 68 replies

I would bet on Ice and alcohol. Regardless, the London police will take good care of him and he will not be back.- 460 replies

Chump if far less coherent and far less honest. We will see which one is in prison on election day. -
Thai Airways sues over passenger’s flight diversion criticism
cjinchiangrai replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Criticizing the airline for an airport closure is silly. They have no control. Criticizing them for how they take care of the customers after that is a different issue. There does not appear to be a problem there. -

Prosecute for 36 counts of assault and aggravated battery on a child. They need some prison time for this nonsense.- 84 replies

Thailand to abolish hefty import tariff on wine
cjinchiangrai replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
They will in the short run but most will be given back to gain market share. -
I gave mine away after two packs of paper. Total POS! Never buy HP again! I love my new Brother DCP-T420W, It runs great, makes nice photo prints, fast on low-rez and cost about 5000 baht.

Thailand to abolish hefty import tariff on wine
cjinchiangrai replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Super! The supply will still be limited to vendors that can ship in bulk or charge a high premium for freight but this will be great. Plenty of really good wines out there. Hopefully this will be published soon enough to take advantage of the 2023 releases coming in the next few months. -
Except that aggressive people are drawn to deadly dogs and continue to breed them to be even more aggressive. It has gotten out of control. They need to be regulated somehow. Start with proper tagging and vaccination medals and continue with prosecuting irresponsible owners, be they pitbulls or soi mutts. This owner should be incarcerated for manslaughter and the dogs put down.

Transgender woman accused of 200,000 baht gold theft in Pattaya
cjinchiangrai replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
These stories are always a little suspect. Trans people are not the only thieves on the beach. They are also not the only prostitutes to fleece tourists. Indian men should not be stupid enough to be sporting the bling. They would not do it at home. -
There are not enough parts to hide a defect. Anyone would know. I would be looking for defects to lower the price, brake pads, lights, shocks, seat covers.... whatever. Anyone with a simple socket set can fix them.
