Trump charged with four counts over 2020 election
placeholder replied to Social Media's topic in World News
First off, there's plenty of evidence that his advisors told them the election wasn't rigged. In addition, the Trump campaign hired two teams of investigators to look for voter fraud. They found nothing. A defendant is not allowed unlimited benefit of the doubt if the facts clearly show any rational person shouldn't have continued to believe something that was patently false. I guess Trump could try to plead insanity but, in a legal sense, it's dubious he would qualify. -
Fitch downgrades US credit rating from AAA to AA+
placeholder replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Or maybe it's due to the fact that Republicans threatened not to pay the parties who held US Treasury bonds? You think the possibility of default couldn't affect America's credit rating? Really?- 33 replies

From the Marxist/Leninists at Foxnews.com: Phoenix welcomes respite from record-breaking 31-day heatwave as monsoon rains arrive Heat still forecasted to reach around 110 degrees Fahrenheit later this week A hellish and historic 31-day run of temperatures cracking 110 degrees in Phoenix appeared headed for a welcome end on Monday, as monsoon rains moved through the region from Mexico. The relief wasn't all that great — the day's highs were forecast near 108 degrees, or about 42 Celsius — and the heat was expected to rise past 110 again later in the week. But residents and visitors were taking what they could get. https://www.foxnews.com/us/phoenix-welcomes-respite-record-breaking-31-day-heatwave-monsoon-rains-arrive -
Actually, this was what the so-called meeting consisted of: According to a Beijing-based BHR representative, Hunter, shortly after arriving in Beijing, on December 4th, helped arrange for Li to shake hands with his father in the lobby of the American delegation’s hotel. https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2019/07/08/will-hunter-biden-jeopardize-his-fathers-campaign Biden did write the recommendations when he was no longer VP.

What is astonishing to me is that people are still moving in great numbers to the Southwest. Maybe the brutal heat recorded in this season might finally start to deter people from making the move? -

'For the past three years, low-income workers have made historic gains in wages even after inflation, reversing the trend of advances for upper-income workers and stagnating pay for laborers that dominated the previous four decades, according to a POLITICO analysis of data from the U.S. Labor Department. The gains were the product of a series of dramatic changes in the structure of the labor market and government policies to aid the economy during the pandemic. Fueled by the resulting worker shortage, for example, one of the lowest tiers of earners — people making an average of $12.50 per hour nationally — saw their pay grow nearly 6 percent from 2020 to 2022, even after factoring in inflation." https://www.politico.com/news/2023/05/29/low-income-wages-employment-00097135 -

What about wages? Did they go up or did they stay the same? Your 17% figure is meaningless without being offset by wages. This is pretty basic accounting, no?. -
More B.S, from you. As i just noted he may have know that Hunter had business but no evidence that he knew what Hunter was up to. As for the alleged lies, for something to be a lie it can just be false, but the person who tells it has to know it was false. Any evidence that Biden knew about payments to other members of his family?
