  1. Still, in a way, you may have a point Tucker Carlson Successfully Argues Nobody Really Believes Tucker Carlson Is Reporting Facts https://www.findlaw.com/legalblogs/greedy-associates/tucker-carlson-successfully-argues-nobody-really-believes-tucker-carlson-is-reporting-facts/
  2. Could you share some of these cases with us? I often find that what people claim to be common knowledge turns out to be uncommon nonsense.
  3. So that's your justification for Tucker Carlson's repeated lies? That it's a show?
  4. A lie is a falsehood made by someone who knows it is false. There is no evidence that she knew it was false. Also, as Heybruce pointed out, this happened 2 years ago. At least as recently as early January, Tucker Carlson was still engaging in defending vaccination quackery. Given the huge amount of scientific evidence that has been accumulated since Maddow made her comment, if Carlson isn't lying, then he should be fired for cluelessness.
  5. They aren't just ideas, though, are they? They are actual accomplishments.
  6. What don't you understand about the fact that I have provided many links to back up my arguments?
  7. I have already offered several links documenting the lies of Tucker Carlson. And one that offered evidence of the general dishonesty of Fox New personalities. Maybe you need an education in how to use links? I'll give you a hint: click on them.
  8. We offer documented evidence of Carlson's falsehoods and to rebut that, you offer evidence of his popularity. Do you understood how rational rebuttal works?
  9. This is about the fact that there is hard evidence about Fox News hosts knowingly perpetrating falsehoods. You may not be sufficiently familiar with what hard evidence is since it is so conspicuously lacking in your comments.
  10. You only have to go back to Damar Hamlin's collapse to see Carlson's comments about it. Basically he attacked the medical community for rebutting anti-vaxxers' claims that his collapse was due to covid vaccination.
  11. She was not "spewing her beliefs" in contradiction to what the science was telling us at the time. And she didn't do it repeatedly. On the other hand, the Fox News hosts repeatedly lied and misled despite the repeated repudiations of their claims by the scientific community.
  12. Here's another one: How Fox News hosts started attacking COVID-19 vaccines after Biden took over the rollout from Trump https://www.businessinsider.com/fox-news-hosts-vaccines-biden-trump-2021-2
  13. /////Deleted post edited out//// Is Dr. Marc Siegel a regular Fox News Host? How does is presence on Fox News compare to Tucker Carlson's? Video: Tucker Carlson Misrepresents Vaccine Safety Reporting Data https://www.factcheck.org/2021/10/scicheck-video-tucker-carlson-misrepresents-vaccine-safety-reporting-data/ Fox News host Tucker Carlson compares vaccine mandates to ‘Nazi experiments https://www.theguardian.com/media/2022/jan/22/tucker-carlson-compares-us-vaccine-mandates-nazi-medical-experiments Tucker Carlson calls medical experts ‘witch doctors’ as right-wing figures spread anti-vaccine misinformation after Damar Hamlin’s collapse On his programme that night, Fox News personality Tucker Carlson falsely stated that Mr Hamlin endured a “heart attack” and said medical experts who dismissed Covid-19-related conspiracy theories are “lying” and “witch doctors”. https://news.yahoo.com/tucker-carlson-calls-medical-experts-164539537.html Tucker Carlson undermined COVID vaccines 99% of the time his show discussed them https://baptistnews.com/article/tucker-carlson-undermined-covid-vaccines-99-of-the-time-his-show-discussed-them/
  14. And this proves that they're not dishonest even though there's hard evidence that conclusively establishes otherwise?
  15. What do their rating have to do with the fact that these commentators knew that they were peddling lies? And, given Fox News viewers appetite for fiction (election was stolen) why should we be surprised that Fox is doing so well? And keep in mind that all the cable news programs skew to a much older audience.
  16. Both Dershowitz and Turley, unlike most of the community of legal scholars, thought that Durham last 2 cases were strong. They also supported Judge Aileen "Loose" Cannon's appointment of a Special Master which got tossed scornfully by a panel consisting of 2 conservative and 1 liberal judge. And Carlson's lies about covid vaccines endear him to you?
  17. And really not a deflection Fox News' Worst Lies About Covid-19 From 2021 A recent study from the Kaiser Family Foundation found that Fox News viewers are more likely to believe covid-19 falsehoods than people who consumer other mainstream news sources. And yet, Fox News itself has a covid-19 vaccine mandate, despite talking heads on the channel railing against them. https://gizmodo.com/fox-news-worst-lies-about-covid-19-from-2021-1848285665
  18. Wow. Let me see...who was the party that introduced vaccines into the discussion...oh wait...It was you!!!
  19. It's far more likely that the Fox News hosts who denigrated the vaccines and ludicrously exaggerated their danger were lying.
  20. Given that her comments occurred very early on in the vaccination campaign, why would this be unlikely? What evidence can you offer that this was a lie rather than a mistake?
  21. As I pointed out, she said this very early on. I do think somebody should keep their big dumb mouth (hand?) shut (clenched) instead of trying to impress others with their ignorance. Especially given that the case of Maddow is not comparable to what the Fox News hosts were up to.
  22. Well, it has an audience that prefers fiction to fact (thanks, ballpoint). For example, most right wingers believe that the 2020 election was stolen. 82% of Fox News, 97% of OANN, Newsmax Viewers Believe Trump's Stolen Election Claim: Poll https://www.newsweek.com/82-fox-news-97-oann-newsmax-viewers-believe-trumps-stolen-election-claim-poll-1644756
  23. But it's the punditry side that draws the highest ratings by far. As for Brett Baier: A new book about Trump calls out a Fox News anchor It claims Bret Baier — often touted as a straight news reporter — was ‘ready to give in’ to Trump’s pressure to rescind Fox’s election call in Arizona https://www.poynter.org/commentary/2022/divider-book-baker-glasser-bret-baier-fox-news/ Fox News’ Bret Baier Has Been Spreading Climate Misinformation Since 2009: Report https://www.vice.com/en/article/wx5g8w/fox-news-bret-baier-has-been-spreading-climate-misinformation-since-2009-report
