  1. You're wrong. While it's wrong for the Federal Govt to send National Guard troops to the 50 states unless it either issues a Proclamation of Insurrection or the governors request assistance, in Washington D.C. the President is the person the National Guard reports to. So his position is analagous to a governor's. And the National Guard troops were on quick standby at the Armory, 2 miles from the Capitol.
  2. Anyway, since according to the authorities, most residents of the UK are vaccinated, it really can't pose a threat to most. What's more, most people who do get infected with the virus don't suffer severe symptoms.
  3. Just? Really? It's a huge lie that he constantly repeats.
  4. How many times does it need to be explained to you that Diane Abbott is a backbencher and for good reason. Whereas Liz Truss isn't for very bad reasons.
  5. Has any previous President lied so repeatedly and flagrantly as Trump has about the elections? Of course you wouldn't buy his lies about the 2020 Presidential election being stolen but tens of millions do
  6. On the other hand, until Garland announced that he was going to apply to have the contents of the warrant revealed, Trump didn't offer to release it himself. Why is that? Looks like Garland called his bluff.
  7. Well, they can claim it was by mistake. As staffers said, Trump refused to accept that he was going to have to vacate the White House until very late in the game so packing was a last minute thing. Although given how rightwingers called for Hillary Clinton's imprisonment, it does mark them as being massively hypocritical.
  8. Actually he is calling for the release of the warrant. What makes that bizarre is that he's in possession of it and has every right to release it. Maybe he realizes he's in a tough spot and is hoping a judge denies the Justice Dept's request?
  9. If the story is such a fake, why doesn't Trump release the text of the warrant?
  10. If any shows how factually challenged so many right-wingers are, it's a post like this. When the statistics support your beliefs, you trust them. When not, they're fake.
  11. What a rational person would find alarming is that Trump and Kushner wanted to secretly send nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia. A great idea to have such technology in the hands of MbS. And this and other decisions favorable to the Saudis I'm sure have no relation to the fact that the Saudis invested 2 billion dollars in a fund managed by Kushner.
  12. Another lunatic falsehood purveyed by the right wing. Russia is an exporter of uranium. Not an importer. Any export of uranium or uranium ore to Russia would have to be approved by the United States. To date, that has not happened. If you care to educate yourself on the subject, follow this link: https://www.factcheck.org/2017/10/facts-uranium-one/
  13. How come there are no Hasidim in this video? That's just not right.
  14. What follows is a much better version of what I attempted: Trump Says Biden Could Never Take the Fifth as Many Times as He Did NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—After pleading the Fifth Amendment more than four hundred times in his deposition to the New York State attorney general, Donald J. Trump boasted that Joe Biden could never take the Fifth as many times as he did. “I’d like to see Sleepy Joe sit in a chair for six hours and take the Fifth four hundred times,” he told reporters. “It’s not gonna happen.” https://www.newyorker.com/humor/borowitz-report/trump-says-biden-could-never-take-the-fifth-as-many-times-as-he-did
  15. Given Trump's propensity to take a golf cart rather than walk, one is tempted to say that he's not physically fit. But taking the 5th 440 times? Now, that's aerobic!
  16. Trump now claims he's being treated unfairly because Obama was allowed to take documents. It is to laugh.
  17. Not just that. For example, his claims that the 2020 election was stolen.
  18. And the big majority of Republicans who believe that the election was stolen aren't? Only on the grounds that once would have been considered rightwing lunacy in now mainstream in the Republican party.
  19. Well, it comes from those who invariably support Trump's actions as President but just say they disapprove of flaws in his character or personality. Big deal.
  20. Utterly false. There was a kerfuffle back then about groups using "tea party" or slogans related to it in their names being discriminated against by the IRS. Ultimately a report was issued by the Inspector General of the Treasury that these kinds of shortcuts had been in use by the IRS from 2004. I don't think, but you might have other information, that Obama was President then. Here's a link to that report. https://www.treasury.gov/tigta/auditreports/2017reports/201710054fr.pdf And just to make one thing clear: never was there produced any evidence that Obama had any knowledge of this at all. Never.
  21. If you mean by those here who claim "I don't love Trump but...", give it up.
  22. Yes the respect that Trump supporters have shown to Joe Biden has been truly inspirational!
  23. So, why are you calling on the FBI to release information if you don't know the real reasons.
  24. "The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia cautioned the Uzbek diaspora that any form of participation in the Russian invasion of Ukraine is punishable by up to 10 years in Uzbek prison, effectively denouncing Russian volunteer recruitment efforts among Central Asian immigrants. The Embassy noted that Uzbek law prohibits all citizens from engaging in mercenary activity and warned Uzbeks to stay clear of any “provocations.”[16] https://www.understandingwar.org/backgrounder/russian-offensive-campaign-assessment-august-10
