  1. One should not be dead in the water if the sea conditions are not appropriate or if one is in a busy sea lane where an evasive action may be required. Unless you know what the sea conditions were at the time, it is unfair to pass judgement.
  2. No he would not. If you you have a grievance against Canada, please feel free to surrender your passport and return to your paradise of Serbia. This is a code White event and sadly is a regular occurrence in ERs around the world. It is quite obvious that this man is either under the influence of a powerful mood altering drug(s) and/or is mentally ill. The procedure will be to send him for a psychiatric hold and exam. In Canada it is usually 72 hours. In Thailand, he may or may not be sent to a psychiatric holding facility where he will either be sedated or restrained.
  3. So basically, the Chinese have copied what the USA and EU have already achieved. Both have already shared their technology and their results. China never shares its technology because it is typically stolen or copied from the west. The ITER project in Cadarache achieved a more significant event in 2021 when a new fusion energy world record of 59 MJ was achieved in JET in a 5 second long pulse, while burning only 170 micrograms of deuterium and tritium. The key is to produce more energy than is needed to initiate and support the reaction. The Chinese have not accomplished that. .
  4. 1st Question: Was there a domestic quarrel with the boy's mother? 2nd Question: Was there a custody dispute? 3rd Question: Did the child have a behavioural issue or illness requiring care etc.? 4th Question: Does the father suffer from mental illness? Looks more like a family dispute, resulting in murder/suicide, where the suicide fails. The instinct to survive can prevent a successful suicide. This scenario is unfortunately not uncommon.
  5. Had a change of mind, and now disagree with Trump? That's quite an epiphany. When were you on the road to Damascus?
  6. The conviction was in 1989. The person was a junkie. Yes, unfortunate, but his case against the RCMP was dismissed because he was not credible and could not substantiate his allegations of wrongdoing. January 8, 2008 Superior Court of Quebec -Action dismissed. January 17, 2013 Court of Appeal of Quebec -Appeal dismissed. November 7, 2013 Supreme Court of Canada - Closed file for Leave of Appeal. A case from 25+ years ago has no relevance anyway.
  7. No. They are still forbidden. All that has changed was the addition of the security screening reference. The contract of Carriage provisions remain. The key paragraph in Thai is The Carrier also has the right to refuse carriage of passengers, baggage and goods which the passenger does not consent to or does not pass a security search, including refusing carriage on grounds of safety and security. Weapons as cargo are addressed under the Air Navigation Act and by the Contract of Carriage sets out the security and safety rules. For example, Thai's Contract of Carriage states; ARTICLE 11 - CONDUCT ABOARD AIRCRAFT 11.1 GENERAL If, in our reasonable opinion, you conduct yourself aboard the aircraft so as to endanger the aircraft or any person or property on board, or obstruct the crew in the performance of their duties, or fail to comply with any instructions of the crew including but not limited to those with respect to smoking, alcohol or drug consumption, or behave in a manner which causes discomfort, inconvenience, damage or injury to other passengers or the crew, we may take such measures as we deem reasonably necessary to prevent continuation of such conduct, including restraint. You may be disembarked and refused onward carriage at any point, and may be prosecuted for offences committed on board the aircraft. It is open ended. And yes, involuntary denial of boarding due to oversell of seats, cancellation, IRROPS and weather is still allowed.
  8. Get back to me after you have read the scripture from which she drew her sermon. Both old and new testaments have many passages. Here are some of the inspirational points that she referred to her in her comments on aliens. Exodus 12:49 and Leviticus 24:22 – “There shall be one law for the native and for the alien who resides among you.” Exodus 22:21 – “You shall not wrong or oppress a resident alien; for you were aliens in the land of Egypt.” Leviticus 19:33-34 and 24:22 – When the alien resides with you in your land, you shall not oppress the alien. The alien who resides with you shall be to you as the citizen among you; you shall love the alien as yourself, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.” Numbers 9:14 and 15:15-16 – “…you shall have one statute for both the resident alien and the native.” Deuteronomy 1:16 – “Give the members of your community a fair hearing, and judge rightly between one person and another, whether citizen or resident alien.” Deuteronomy 10:18-19 – “For the Lord your God…loves the strangers, providing them food and clothing. You shall also love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.” Deuteronomy 24:14 – “You shall not withhold the wages of poor and needy laborers, whether other Israelites or aliens who reside in your land…” Deuteronomy 24:17-18 – “You shall not deprive a resident alien…of justice.” Deuteronomy 24:19-22 – Leave sheaf, olives, grapes for the alien. Deuteronomy 27:19 – “Cursed be anyone who deprives the alien…of justice.” Psalm 146:9 – “The Lord watches over the strangers…” Isaiah 16:4 – Be a refuge to the outcasts of Moab. Jeremiah 7:5-7 – “If you do not oppress the alien…then I will dwell with you in this place…” Jeremiah 22:3-5 – Do no wrong or violence to the alien. Ezekiel 47:21-22 – The aliens shall be to you as citizens, and shall also be allotted an inheritance. Zechariah 7:8-10 – Do not oppress the alien. Malachi 3:5 – The messenger will bear witness against those who thrust aside the alien. Matthew 5:10-11 –“Blessed are those who are persecuted.” Matthew 25:31-46 – “…I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” Luke 3:11 – “Whoever has two coats must share with anyone who has none…” Romans 12:13 – “Mark of the true Christian: “…Extend hospitality to strangers…” Ephesians 2:11-22 – “So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are citizens with the saints and also members of the household of God.” Hebrews 13:1-2 – “…show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels…” James 2:14-17 – “What good is it…if you say you have faith but do not have works?” I John 3:18 – “…Let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.” I John 4:7-21 – “Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God…” We love because God first loved us.” You don't have to agree with this, but if you are a Christian, you must accept the teachings as they are the underpinning of the faith. All that the Bishop did was to refence the Christian faith, which is appropriate for a Christian Church. That's her job. If the Trumps wanted a celebration of hedonism, they should have gone for a debauched night at a Las Vegas casino, complete with strippers and hookers. It was a travesty to have multiple unrepentant adulterers sitting their smirking and treating the sermon as a political exercise and not a moment of attestation to the Christian faith.
  9. You should not comment on Church administrative affairs and on a Church that you obviously know nothing about. Although, women are the backbone of most Churches, women are not "running" the church as you so ignorantly state. Participating Christians serve on the Executive Council. The Executive Chairman of the Council and the Primate is The Most Rev. Sean Rowe, and the last time I saw him interviewed, he was a man. The Chief of Mission is Rev. Lester V. Mackenzie and the majority of Bishops are men. The late Queen Elizabeth II was the Supreme Governor of the Church of England, for 70 years. My understanding is that she was praised and supported for her active role. No one was out protesting or objecting to her role. Perhaps you are confused with one of the satanic cults you may be more familiar with.
  10. Peletier was not convicted of murder. Peletier was not pardoned. His sentence was commuted to home detention. He is 80 years old and in failing health. He has advanced diabetes with toe amputation and cellulitis, degenerative joint disease, hypertension, partial blindness and physical impairment from a stroke. He is dying. In effect. the US government has relieved itself of of $60,000+ of annual custody expense to care for an invalid who does not present as a threat to anyone. Caring for a dying inmate is an expensive undertaking. The man has served 47+ years, which is far longer than similar cases. The case against Peletier was questionable. The request for clemency was championed by the for Attorney for Iowa, who was responsible for defending the state on appeal, and arguing for the man's incarceration. That was his job as the federal State Attorney. Once out of his job and after review of the complete evidence file, some of which was withheld by the FBI, he ralized that the case had errors. The 1977 trial is marked by prosecutorial misconduct, including the forced testimony of witnesses, the withholding of exculpatory evidence, falsified affidavits, and most tellingly, the hiding of a ballistics report that established that the bullets that killed the agents were not from Peltier’s gun. Once these facts became public, the charges against Peltier were changed to “aiding and abetting” whoever did kill the agents, because he was present at the time of the shooting. How do you manage to fit your foot in your mouth? You know how Trump has criticized the FBI for misconduct? Well, this is an example of the FBI not having been forthcoming with exculpatory evidence and of the US Justice Department not providing the exculpatory information that it had. It looks like you disagree with Trump too.
  11. She was merely preaching the gospel. Perhaps one day, you too shall hear the good word and understand. The membership in her Church has declined because may USians have turned away from the gospel and embraced a life of greed, gluttony, avarice, sloth and infidelity. It requires discipline, sincerity and integrity to be a good Christian, qualities which many people lack.
  12. For the family friendly fun of Bangla Road.
  13. Celebrating is too early. The man does not even have his cabinet secretaries appointed yet. Many of the proposed secretaries are wholly inadequate for the roles they are nominated for. Others will become mired in scandal and disputes within the next two years. Some may be surprisingly good and may keep the USA from falling into the abyss of dysfunction. I wish all the best to the competent professionals Marco Rubio, Scott Bessent, and Howard Lutnick, It is also reassuring that the 4th and 5th in line for Presidential succession are Rubio and Bessent.
  14. One of the most unfair tax levies is inheritance tax. It is double taxation at its worst. It punishes those who plan for the future and who seek to be good parents, or friends for providing for others. A person who earns income pays tax on that income. The Inheritance tax is an additional tax on assets gained from the prudent management of one's finances and in effect rewards those who are irresponsible or who do not save. Abolish the inheritance tax.
  15. Mr. Starmer is neither a liar nor a simp. He has always been upfront as to his political positions. He was the person who tried to rid Labour of the ignorant, mean spirited bigots like Corbyn and Galloway, but was blocked by hundreds of thousands of people who shared the positions of the hateful bigots. He was strong enough to push Corbyn to the side. it took alot of courage and strength to do that, all the while being backstabbed by the Corbyn faction. He had to make some compromises to rid the party of the destructive faction. He is a man who is trying to repair the legacy of a decade of neglect left behind by inept buffoons, without much support from anyone. The snipers from the sides like Farage do not want him or the UK to succeed as it would mean less of an opportunity for Farage and his collection of carpetbaggers. The fact of the matter is that Starmer was why Labour achieved a majority. Had he not pushed the Marxist faction to the side and broken the cabal of bigots, there would be no Labour government today. The extreme leftists despise the man, as do the extreme rightists. He deserves a chance to address the financial mess left behind by the Conservatives.
  16. Nothingsupports your statement. You are taking a partisan Trump lackey's claim as truthful. Johnson has a history of making inaccurate and misleading statements.
  17. Dynamic pricing reflects the shortage of seat capacity on these travel days. The higher income generated subsidizes the flights on days when there is reduced demand.
  18. Using the actions of Biden to excuse Trump's wrong doing exposes your failure to offer an intelligent response. You have spent the last 4 years claiming that everything Biden has done is wrong. Fine. Why then, rely on Biden now to justify a wrongful act? Which murderers did President Biden pardon?
  19. I doubt it. The Democrats will most likely take back the House and Senate in 2 years if the Trump collective does not deliver on its promises or causes havoc. The MAGA collective is already turning on each other.
  20. You are more diplomatic and kind than I am. President Trump would not have had to do this had a small group of people not engaged in violence, of threats against US citizens and not sought to deny their targets basic civil rights. President Trump is doing what municpal, state and federal officials should have done a year ago. He would not have had to be so drastic if the elected officials had not been cowards.
  21. Please don't tell me that any of the particpant citizens of BRICS nations knows what the acronym means or that they are even aware of their nation's membership. I am not a fan of Trump but the accusations of failing faculties are pathetic. If he is so out of it how do did he win a come from behind election and trounce his opponent? He is sharp enough to effectively dispose of his opponents. The man is a lot of bad things, but out of it, he is not. It is arrogance like yours that explains the defeat of the Democrat party nominee. President Trump is shrewd, wily, and a survivor. He survives by understanding human behavior and in being tough and strong. This man is no weakling and the failure to respect his qualities and pluckiness will also result in his besting of opponents.
  22. Lammy is an example of a man inappropriate for a position as a top diplomat.
