  1. Your revisionist version of events would be funny if you were not so serious in your belief. The man was killed as he was fleeing to the North. He had fled his tunnel hiding place because the IDF engineers were slowly but surely closing in on him. He did hide using civilian shields and was taking cover in a residential building after his entourage had engaged in the IDF unit closing in on him. He did not fall with a weapon in his hand. On the contrary, if you watch the video, he was missing his right hand. Your praise of a cruel and evil man is revealing. As for your claim of Israeli occupation, you conveniently ignore the fact that Israel did not occupy Gaza and the attack of October 7 was by the Gazans who broke a truce/ceasefire and directly targeted civilian non combatants in Israel which supposedly the Palestinian apologists say that Palestinians accept. You may be saddened, but the victims of Hamas including the tens of thousands of Gazan residents who had family members murdered by Hamas as it waged war with other Arab factions do not share your sense of loss. I expect that there was a celebration of sorts at Fatah HQ and Mr. Abbas and his entourage let loose a sigh of relief.
  2. This has nothing to do with the inter European fights, where one European colonial expansionist force fought with another in Europe. Your colonial arrogance is on display when you call the proud and dignified Samoans "simple". They are behaving as polite and civilized hosts, welcoming a foreign head of state as well as the head of the Commonwealth of which they are a long time member. The money you claim is wasted, will be quickly recouped through the business it will generate by way of boosting local commerce and tourism. Australia will also be getting free promotion around the world. Consider the Crown as one of the world's oldest influencers. The fact remains that the First People of Australia have had a longstanding relationship with the Crown that precedes the existence of Australia. No Australian has the moral right to throw that relationship aside and to dictate to the First Nations how their longstanding treaties and relationship will be managed. That is your interpretation. The Sovereign does act on the instruction of the Australian government. Whether or not he works tirelessly is your narrative. You can go and lecture the tens of thousands+ who will come out to welcome the King. The fact is that the Crown has acted on behalf of First Peoples and takes its role seriously. The role is still obviously needed since the Republicans have completely ignored the views and stated positions of the First People. Unlike the Australian occupiers, the King will receive a polite and hospitable reception from the First People of Australia.
  3. I wouldn't call it bullying, but more of a directed management response. You won't see these unhoused or troubled people in affluent areas for long because there are people who are paid to "take care" of the situation. It is similar in Hong Kong, South Korea, and Japan. It is done discreetly.
  4. You obviously have not grown up with some Thai kids. Tossing fire crackers and water balloons is not unusual. Some merchants use very strong chemical washes on their front entrances to clear the vagrants. A leaking, noisy air conditioner unit is very effective too. How would you know if the gas and glue huffers don't harm others? Their brains are fried and they typically lose reasoning ability after a year of it. The yaba fiends are worse. They attack and then run off. And yes, bullying is as frequent in Thailand as anywhere else. Because you don't see it, doesn't mean that it does not occur. My friend's neighborhood had a problem of vagrants going through the garbage making a mess of things. They were dealt with by some gentlemen who gave them a proper spanking such that they did not return. And don't knock Bumfights. It was popular all over the world. There wasn't a high school or college kid in the early 2000's who had not searched for the online videos. They were right up there with Milf Adventures, Midget Sex and best sport match fights.
  5. What traditional values? Trump has had multiple wives and concubines. He got caught paying off a call girl. He has been implicated in multiple financial inappropriate activities and left a series of bankruptcies. Is that what you consider a traditional value? Crime is not off the charts. With the exception of mass murders, typically in Republican states with little firearm oversight, crime rates have been steadily improving. It has nothing to do with law enforcement or the lack thereof and everything to do with the ageing of the population. Older populations have a lower crime rate. Certain displays at Walmart have been locked up since I was a kid. The Walgreens and CVS stores with the locked up items are in districts where there is a high level of shoplifting. It's the local consumers in those districts who suffer, and they will suffer more once the retailers close down the unprofitable stores. You can complain all you want about the failure to stop shoplifting, but it is prohibitively expensive to incarcerate people. It can cost US$50,000 a year to hold someone in prison, and taxpayers won't pay. Unless you start lynching people from the street corner as a deterrent, there isn't much that can be done if the US people are inherently dishonest. And yes a majority of US residents are poorly educated and ignorant. Ask 100 US residents their state capital or how their government is structured or what is in the US Constitution, or some basic math or to name some planets or how the tides occur and the vast majority will be unable to answer the questions correctly. Part of it is the low quality education, and some of it is the diet of over processed food with brain damaging chemicals, and part of it is the obesity and rest is just laziness. There was a time when people wanted to learn and to explore for themselves. Now they are afraid and rely on "influencers" to tell them how to think.
  6. Maybe the other militants will learn from this. The man knew his time was up. He chose to engage with the IDF ,firing at the engineers clearing the tunnels and he gave his position away. This clearly vindicates the Israel strategy of staying the course and going through the tunnels, searching and destroying them. Had Israel caved to the pressure, Hamas would have regrouped in the North and continued its war with Israel. Now it is up to the Hamas leadership secure in their Qatari luxury villas, to decide if they will continue the war or not. They can end it immediately with the release of the hostages. If not, the war continues.
  7. What exactly is undemocratic? Australia's Governor General is the signing entity on legal acts and is appointed by the duly elected Prime Minister of Australia. The King, through the Governor General is in effect an appointed public servant who has no authority and does as he is directed by the Australian government. His role is primarily one of civil service on behalf of charities and social service agencies. What deference is shown? Australian official behaviour has been more along the line of rudeness and pettiness. When the President of China visits Australia, the Australian government officials and business leaders were following over themselves to show their deference. They couldn't kiss enough Chinese posteriors. Who knows, but your position is that of an arrogant foreign colonial occupier of Australia. You obviously do not even know the history of Australia and the relationship the Crown has with the aboriginal people. The Crown signed treaties with the aboriginal people long before Australia was a nation and has a duty to the First Australian people. You have made the assumption that your position is paramount and has greater validity than that of the First Australian people who do not share your position. In the 1930's the First Australian people had sought to petition King George V, to invoke his moral duty to protect them against the policies of the colonial people, to ensure that they had representation. They were protecting themselves against occupiers like you. In 1938, the Australian Government decided not to send the petition to King George VI (George V had died in 1936). It argued that no 'good purpose' would be served by doing so. The Crown over the decades has acted on behalf of the First Australian people and enjoys a position of favour with them such that the First Australian people place as much value on their relationship with the Crown, if not more, than they do with the Australian state and federal governments. Your position ignores the fact that you are in effect once again interfering with the rights of the First Australian people. It is the usual attitude of knowing what is best for then under the guise of social progress. If Republicans really cared about the principals they claim, they would first seek the approval of the First nation people. The Australian behaviour is really low class and rude. It is quite a contrast between the polite anticipation and happiness to share hospitality that Samoans are expressing at the upcoming visit. It is the Samoans who are showing how to be polite, while maintaining their sovereignty and independence.
  8. Yes, the victim can file a report. You can also clap your heels together and go back to Kansas. Assuming that the victim does not have brain damage and is not in a coma, the standard response from the driver will be one of the following; 1. Catch me if you can. 2. It wasn't me. 3. Let's drag out the process for a few years to beat the statute of limitations or set it up such that the farang isn't around to pursue the matter. 4. No have money, Sowwy. Here's a wai and an insincere smirk with a bunch of flowers pinched from the cemetery. Smell ya later sucker.
  9. There can be be work upstream or this is needed for work in the klong itself.
  10. You have just demonstrated what happens when uneducated and ignorant people read a document, and do not understand what it states. The study actually states that Ivermectin is ineffective as a treatment and should not be used. Your attention is drawn to the following key statements; The Abstract opening sentences state; High concentrations of ivermectin demonstrated antiviral activity against SARS-CoV-2 in vitro. The aim of this study was to assess the safety and efficacy of high-dose ivermectin in reducing viral load in individuals with early SARS-CoV-2 infection. INVITRO- This means outside the living organism, i.e. in a petri dish. It does not mean in humans. The study was to determine if the dosing that resulted in the result observed was safe for use in humans. This was not a clinical trial of the efficacy of the drug in the treatment of a Covid infection. Last line of abstract: High-dose ivermectin was safe but did not show efficacy to reduce viral load. This means that ivermectin did not reduce the viral load in the patients. Cutting and pasting a reference taken out of context neither improves nor changes the conclusions. Thank you for inadvertently supporting my position and providing a reason why your claim was wrong.
  11. You are one constant source of misinformation. In 2022, The data of Crime in the Nation, 2022 were released via several reports: Crime in the United States (CIUS), 2022; NIBRS, 2022; NIBRS Estimates, 2022; Hate Crime Statistics, 2022; Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted (LEOKA), 2022: Officers Assaulted; and the UCR Summary of Crime in the Nation, 2022. Of the 18,884 state, county, city, university and college, and tribal agencies eligible to participate in the UCR Program, 15,724 agencies submitted data in 2022. We are in October 2024. The FBI’s crime statistics estimates, based on reported data for 2023, show that national violent crime decreased an estimated 3.0% in 2023 compared to 2022 estimates: -Murder and non-negligent manslaughter recorded a 2023 estimated nationwide decrease of 11.6% compared to the previous year. -In 2023, the estimated number of offenses in the revised rape category saw an estimated 9.4% decrease. -Aggravated assault figures decreased an estimated 2.8% in 2023. -Robbery showed an estimated decrease of 0.3% nationally. https://www.fbi.gov/news/press-releases/fbi-releases-2023-crime-in-the-nation-statistics For reference sake, in October 2023, the FBI re;leased this statement; The FBI’s crime statistics estimates for 2022 show that national violent crime decreased an estimated 1.7% in 2022 compared to 2021 estimates: -Murder and non-negligent manslaughter recorded a 2022 estimated nationwide decrease of 6.1% compared to the previous year. -In 2022, the estimated number of offenses in the revised rape category saw an estimated 5.4% decrease. -Aggravated assault in 2022 decreased an estimated 1.1% in 2022. -Robbery showed an estimated increase of 1.3% nationally.
  12. There is no clinical evidence to support your claim.
  13. FEMA has been doing a good job with the hurricane aftermath. There are no complaints from the local counties and municipalities relying on FEMA assistance.
  14. BKK is the most important airport in Thailand. Some localized flooding will not block ingress/egress. If the airport is operating then there are roads open to and from the airport. You just need to check the weather reports for the day, check the traffic report online and leave enough time for the travel.
  15. Ok. The results of the Covid mRNA vaccines demonstrate beyond reasonable doubt that they have been effective and safe.
  16. Israel has had no part in the invasion of Ukraine. All that Israel has done is to provide donations of international aid and accepted refugees from Ukraine. Your hatred for Israel blinds you to the reality which is that Israel has in excess of one (1) million people who are of Russian heritage and has had close relations with Russia for decades. Ukraine was never as close to Israel as Russia was. The Ukraine -Russian war provides no benefit to Israel.
  17. Those are savage bite wounds. The cop should treat this as an exposure to a communicable disease, particularly hepatitis or HIV. The attacker should be tested immediately, and the victim offered post exposure treatment.
  18. Is he wearing a toupee, or a wig, or is it just an unconvincing dye job?
  19. First off, I appreciate the integrity and dedication of Sawate Permpoon. He did his job and acted to protect the beach. To the people laughing this off, these guys are the same types who toss their cigarette butts on the beach and who litter. The don't care and the only way to correct their behaviour is to do this. This area reportedly has a large number of visitors who would prefer to see and to handle as many knobs as they can. The entry in Wikipedia states "As of 2019, Most of the gay life in Pattaya has now relocated to Jomtien." The aptly named Dongtan part of Jomtien beach is reportedly popular with gay people and I do note the Wikipedia entry that states that "Jomtien Beach is known for its water sports", so perhaps these men were influenced by the beach's reputation. In any case, I doubt there would have been much to look at. 🫢
  20. It is not as if the Police will do anything substantive. Maybe ask for some tea money?
  21. This is the first western news media report that has provided a detailed report of this nature. It brings perspective to the claim of shelling of UNIFIL positions. Anything targeting these Hezbollah attack points would be in close proximity to the UNIFIL positions and could be described as a shelling of their position. It has been a propaganda victory for Hezbollah. It is quite obvious that the UNIFIL positions on the Israeli border, often manned by Indonesian, Malaysian, Sri Lankan personnel with some Spanish personnel, have been ineffective. To not see the Hezbollah militants building the access points and operating out of the area would speak to the tacit facilitation of Hezbollah by some members of UNIFIL. The simple question is why UNIFIL allowed this to occur and at the very least why it did not speak out against the Hezbollah violation of the truce agreement. It seems that the UN refuses to acknowledge its role in supporting Hezbollah. And it suggests that the UN will not withdraw because to do so would allow Israel to more directly destroy the attack tunnels, which I expect run through and under many of the UN outposts. Why none of the western nations paying for this farce act responsibly and question the role of UNIFIL in helping Hezbollah is the lurking question.
  22. This is unsubstantiated hate propaganda.
  23. Hezbollah's firing missiles at Israel has less to do with the "Palestinian struggle" than it does with the Shia Islamic group's belief that all jews must be killed and that the state of Israel must be destroyed. The ultimate goal is to create a Shia Muslim dominated multi regional superstate. Hezbollah takes its orders from Iran.
  24. You live with the freedom to criticize the USA, because Americans and other westerners have put their lives on the line to protect that right. You ridicule Americans for their exposure to terrorism, and yet it is Europeans who face Islamic terrorist attacks on a regular basis. it is France that now has the threat of an Islamic state within its borders and it is Germany that must contend with Islamic hate groups who see Christmas markets as opportune targets.
