  1. If you are referring to the plastic items that include the 2 plastic screws that attach the seat to the toilet bowl, these are available in most places that will have basic plumbing supplies. Homepro comes to mind. I once saw a set at my local Lotus in the "hardware" aisle . DIY might have.
  2. What's your point? I previously explained why the court returned the vehicles. It is not because the brothers are innocent of wrongdoing. As part of the appeal of the charges, Tate's legal counsel argued that the vehicles should be returned until the case was decided. The court agreed. The seizure can only be effected once the appeal is decided. Once the decision is made that the charges from 2022 and from 2024 can proceed, then a seizure order can again be considered. The Tate brothers defense has to date relied on the contesting of legal technicalities. The delays are not attributable to the prosecution, but are defense related. Also, the seized goods must reflect the damages sustained. The courts long ago ruled that if the damages are are X value, then the items seized should not be excessive, ie. 3X or more.
  3. Never heard of him as it was before my time. Shocked at the calibre. For what it is worth, thanks for this.
  4. You are wrong. Tate's defense counsel have been following a strategy of objection which has delayed the trial on the charges. There are multiple cases pending and it is not unusual that the case has not proceeded to trial. It can sometimes take years before a trial occurs as various motions are filed and contested. In this case, the Tate brothers, were first indicted in mid-2023 in a human trafficking and sexual exploitation case. The trial is delayed until the basis of the charge is resolved at the Bucharest court of appeals. New charges were added in August 2024. Wrong. There were 3 asset seizures. In 2022, Romania’s Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (Diicot) took 11 luxury vehicles , and 10 properties or land owned by companies registered to the Tates . In early January 2023 another four vehicles and other assets were seized. Romania’s National Agency for the Administration of Unavailable Assets seized a total of 15 luxury cars, 14 designer watches and cash in several currencies. Total value estimated at USD $3.9 million. The basis for the seizure are that the assets are the proceeds of crime and would be used to pay for the investigation and pay damages to victims if they are convicted. Tate appealed the seizure in January 2024 and the court ruled AGAINST him in March 2024. In April 2024 the court ruled that the Tate brothers will face trial on charges of rape and human trafficking. In August 2024, new charges of forming an organised criminal group, human trafficking, trafficking of minors, sexual intercourse with a minor and money laundering. As part of this case 4 more vehicles were seized. As part of the appeal of the charges, Tate's legal counsel argued that the vehicles should be returned until the case was decided. The court agreed. The seizure can only be effected once the appeal is decided. You are correct. Everyone is entitled to the presumption of innocence even horrid humans like the Tate brothers.
  5. For now, but like the other dead, he will soon be forgotten. How many martyrs from The al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades (AMB) can you remember or name? Killing and dying is their culture. They would be lost without having "martyrs". Women breed to create martyrs. Have a look at this lovely woman https://www.memri.org/tv/libyan-show-host-afaf-mohsen-praises-palestinians-many-children-for-death-martyrdom-offspring-bombs In a May 19, 2023 show on Libya Mostakbal TV, Libyan show host Afaf Abdel Mohsen praised the Palestinian people for having so many children in order to "push" them towards death and martyrdom. She said that Palestinian mothers raise their children on resistance and the "honor of returning to this land, using their blood, by sacrificing them."
  6. Hamas under Sinwar refused every ceasefire, even when the other Hamas leaders had agreed. He wanted to die and got his wish.
  7. No. Because someone is called a "leading expert", does not validate the person's views or impart accuracy. The person cited as an expert, does indeed have an understanding of North Korea, particularly its social policies. However, she is not an expert in military intelligence interpretation, nor in the North Korean military. Her expertise is in social policy. She made her name as an "expert" when she was employed by the UN and lived in North Korea where she was an advocate for the lifting of certain sanctions applied on North Korea. If she were commenting on social policy , then yes, she could be considered an expert. However, she is now commenting on the interpretation of ship movements, of satellite images and the deciphering of messages and financial transactions between North Korea and Russia and this is an area of expertise for which she has no training, nor experience. You also ignore the fact that whatever Russia is doing with North Korea, may not necessarily have had the agreement, nor even full support of China. China has been pursuing a broadening of relations with South Korea and one of its arguments in favour of closer relations is that it holds itself out as having influence over North Korea. Russia may be annoying China with its use of the Korean slave labour for war. It was one thing to use it for construction and mine work, but waging war in Europe is something quite different.
  8. You still do not understand the Monroe doctrine and how it is applied. The Monroe doctrine states that the affairs of the Americas are to be be managed by the Americas. It is in now way comparable to the Russian expansionism. The Russian invasion of Ukraine is a European based event and the EU has responded. Russia has violated the sovereign agreed upon borders of another nation and has sought to annex land that is designated as another nation's. Russia has created an international refugee crisis forcing millions of Ukraine nationals to flee. This has therefore become an international issue since the Ukraine is not taking care of the refugees it has created. Russia has allied itself with state sponsors of international terrorism, Iran and North Korea. Russia is evil.
  9. You really should read up on British history. UK has a lot of very British people with the name of Wittelsbach, Battenberg and Glucksburg circulating. The Sovereign would still be a Saxe-Coburg and Gotha had the family name not been changed to Windsor. Surprised you did not inquire if the bearers of the lady were not later treated for back and muscle strain.
  10. If Russia is worried, Iran will be worried to. Nothing increase oil prices like a regional conflict. Even if the Gulf is disrupted, oil will still be able to move. Iran will send its oil through Turkey. Qatari, Chinese and Indian operated oil tankers will move unharmed.
  11. You obviously do not understand the Monroe Doctrine. Your misinterpretation ignores what is occurring in 2024. .In the early 1800's when President Monroe made his case, the USA had a small military with practically no navy and no foreign military capability. The Monroe Doctrine at the time was a statement against the continuing European colonial presence and meddling in the domestic affairs of the Americas, and described such activities as potentially harmful to the USA. On the contrary, the Monroe Doctrine is now interpreted an argument on behalf of a regional consensus to act multilaterally and without the intervention of foreign powers in the affairs of the Americas. This why the OAS was founded in the late 1930's to allow for the many nations of the Americas to work together and to minimize the potential for further interference by foreign powers such as Spain, France, Netherlands, and Great Britain.
  12. You have gone from denying the involvement of North Korean conscripted slave soldiers, to now saying it is acceptable and fabricating justification for the use of foreign military units deployed by Russia to attack Ukraine. It's bad enough that North Korean slave labour is sold to Russia to work in its deadly mines and toxic factories, but now Russia is using enslaved North Koreans to kill Ukrainians. The argument to block Ukraine from using western long range missiles is now voided.
  13. South Korea has provided documentation as per its press release; https://www.nis.go.kr/CM/1_4/view.do?seq=320 The National Intelligence Service announced on October 18,that North Korea began moving special forces for dispatch to Russia on October 8. - In August 2024 South Korean NIS recorded Kim Jong-sik, first vice director of the Munitions Industry Department, a key figure in North Korea's missile development, visiting a North Korean KN-23 missile launch site near the Russian-Ukrainian front several times with dozens of North Korean military officers and providing on-site guidance. - Between Oct. 8 and Oct. 12, the NIS recorded North Korea transporting special forces to Russian territory via a Russian naval transport ship, confirming the start of the North Korean military's participation in the war. - South Korea's NIS reports that four landing ships and three escort ships belonging to the Russian Pacific Fleet completed the first transport of approximately 1,500 North Korean special forces from the areas near Chongjin, Hamhung, and Musudan (Attachment 1) to Vladivostok, Russia during the same period, and a second transport operation is scheduled to take place soon. - The North Korean soldiers dispatched to Russia are currently stationed at Russian military bases in the Far East, including Vladivostok, Ussuriysk (Appendix 2), Khabarovsk (Appendix 3), and Blagoveshchensk, and are expected to be deployed to the front lines as soon as they complete their adaptation training. - Kim Jong-un inspected the special forces twice prior to the deployment, on the 11th of last month and the 2nd of this month (Attachment 4). - The North Korean soldiers were issued Russian military uniforms and Russian-made weapons, and were also issued fake ID cards of residents of the Yakutia and Buryatia regions of Siberia (Appendix 5) who looked similar to North Koreans. It appears that they disguised themselves as Russian soldiers to hide the fact that they were deployed to the battlefield. - The NIS has documented its estimate that North Korea had provided Russia military weapons and munitions amounting to over 13,000 containers (Attached Files 6 and 7) on approximately 70 occasions since August of 2023. - The NIS says that it is confirming the observation by foreign media regarding ‘direct military cooperation between Russia and North Korea’ Photo evidence Provided by South Korea Government (Attachment 1) Activities of Russian ships for the purpose of transporting North Korean troops (10.12)ㆍSynopsis of Russian landing ships transporting North Korean troops in the East Sea (Attachment 2) Military facility in Ussuriisk, Primorsky Krai (estimated 400 North Korean personnel gathered in parade ground, 10.16) (Attachment 3) Military facility in Khabarovsk (estimated number of North Korean personnel: 240 people gathered, 10.16) (Attachment 4) Photo of Kim Jong-un observing special warfare training (9.11) (Attachment 6) Russian ship (Angara) carrying North Korean weapons departing from Najin Port (Attachment 7) Russian ship (Lady R) carrying North Korean weapons departing from Najin Port (Attachment 😎 Phoenix-4 (Attachment 9) Remnants of North Korean KN-23 captured by Ukrainian forces (Attachment 10) North Korean multiple rocket launcher (left) and North Korean 9M113 anti-tank missile (right) acquired by the Ukrainian military Russia is trying to start WW III with the use of North Korean personnel. These foreign military personnel should be stopped at the source.
  14. It is not about me. Why is it that when you are given actual undeniable facts, when the lies are challenged , you do everything to deny the truth and instead try to deflect?
  15. Your praise for the bus is laughable. First off, if you want a guaranteed seat, the cost is Fare 143 THB + Online Service Charge 25 THB for Total 168 THB PLUS the cost of the minibus to get to the hotel or common area where a taxi must be hailed. The minibus transfer driver drives like a lunatic. It is all part of the singular experience. It is the same bus company to Hua Hin and I stopped using the bus years ago. Rudeness and poor customer service.
  16. I nominate you for today's ignorant and racist comment award. How is being born in Taiwan exotic? There are in excess of 1.5 billion ethnic Chinese in the world. If you consider an elderly Chinese American lady exotic, I suggest you get out of the trailer park more often. Elaine Chao is 71 .5 years old, and a Harvard MBA. There is an 11 year difference between her and Mitch. In contrast, Melania Knaus has no advanced education, and there is a 24 years difference with Trump, They are very different. Former Secretary Chao is an accomplished business person, public servant and volunteer for multiple charities. She lives with her husband and enjoys a close relationship. Melania Knaus worked as a fashion model and allegedly was a "companion" for some older men. Melania lives apart from her "husband".
  17. Not at all. It's just that the person deserves the praise for doing the right thing.
  18. Ok then. Tariffs will not deliver the benefits Trump claims. On the contrary, tariffs will damage the economy. This is what the past experience of tariffs has been.
  19. The left does not run education in the USA. Here's a reality check. The least educated states in the USA are dominated by Republican state administrations. https://worldpopulationreview.com/state-rankings/least-educated-states The most educated states in the USA are Democrat administered states. You should start with the Republicans who have refused to fund local education and who have paid the price for it since a state with a poorly educated population is unable to attract the industries which generate the taxes that pay for the services a state provides.
  20. Your revisionist version of events would be funny if you were not so serious in your belief. The man was killed as he was fleeing to the North. He had fled his tunnel hiding place because the IDF engineers were slowly but surely closing in on him. He did hide using civilian shields and was taking cover in a residential building after his entourage had engaged in the IDF unit closing in on him. He did not fall with a weapon in his hand. On the contrary, if you watch the video, he was missing his right hand. Your praise of a cruel and evil man is revealing. As for your claim of Israeli occupation, you conveniently ignore the fact that Israel did not occupy Gaza and the attack of October 7 was by the Gazans who broke a truce/ceasefire and directly targeted civilian non combatants in Israel which supposedly the Palestinian apologists say that Palestinians accept. You may be saddened, but the victims of Hamas including the tens of thousands of Gazan residents who had family members murdered by Hamas as it waged war with other Arab factions do not share your sense of loss. I expect that there was a celebration of sorts at Fatah HQ and Mr. Abbas and his entourage let loose a sigh of relief.
  21. This has nothing to do with the inter European fights, where one European colonial expansionist force fought with another in Europe. Your colonial arrogance is on display when you call the proud and dignified Samoans "simple". They are behaving as polite and civilized hosts, welcoming a foreign head of state as well as the head of the Commonwealth of which they are a long time member. The money you claim is wasted, will be quickly recouped through the business it will generate by way of boosting local commerce and tourism. Australia will also be getting free promotion around the world. Consider the Crown as one of the world's oldest influencers. The fact remains that the First People of Australia have had a longstanding relationship with the Crown that precedes the existence of Australia. No Australian has the moral right to throw that relationship aside and to dictate to the First Nations how their longstanding treaties and relationship will be managed. That is your interpretation. The Sovereign does act on the instruction of the Australian government. Whether or not he works tirelessly is your narrative. You can go and lecture the tens of thousands+ who will come out to welcome the King. The fact is that the Crown has acted on behalf of First Peoples and takes its role seriously. The role is still obviously needed since the Republicans have completely ignored the views and stated positions of the First People. Unlike the Australian occupiers, the King will receive a polite and hospitable reception from the First People of Australia.
  22. I wouldn't call it bullying, but more of a directed management response. You won't see these unhoused or troubled people in affluent areas for long because there are people who are paid to "take care" of the situation. It is similar in Hong Kong, South Korea, and Japan. It is done discreetly.
  23. You obviously have not grown up with some Thai kids. Tossing fire crackers and water balloons is not unusual. Some merchants use very strong chemical washes on their front entrances to clear the vagrants. A leaking, noisy air conditioner unit is very effective too. How would you know if the gas and glue huffers don't harm others? Their brains are fried and they typically lose reasoning ability after a year of it. The yaba fiends are worse. They attack and then run off. And yes, bullying is as frequent in Thailand as anywhere else. Because you don't see it, doesn't mean that it does not occur. My friend's neighborhood had a problem of vagrants going through the garbage making a mess of things. They were dealt with by some gentlemen who gave them a proper spanking such that they did not return. And don't knock Bumfights. It was popular all over the world. There wasn't a high school or college kid in the early 2000's who had not searched for the online videos. They were right up there with Milf Adventures, Midget Sex and best sport match fights.
  24. What traditional values? Trump has had multiple wives and concubines. He got caught paying off a call girl. He has been implicated in multiple financial inappropriate activities and left a series of bankruptcies. Is that what you consider a traditional value? Crime is not off the charts. With the exception of mass murders, typically in Republican states with little firearm oversight, crime rates have been steadily improving. It has nothing to do with law enforcement or the lack thereof and everything to do with the ageing of the population. Older populations have a lower crime rate. Certain displays at Walmart have been locked up since I was a kid. The Walgreens and CVS stores with the locked up items are in districts where there is a high level of shoplifting. It's the local consumers in those districts who suffer, and they will suffer more once the retailers close down the unprofitable stores. You can complain all you want about the failure to stop shoplifting, but it is prohibitively expensive to incarcerate people. It can cost US$50,000 a year to hold someone in prison, and taxpayers won't pay. Unless you start lynching people from the street corner as a deterrent, there isn't much that can be done if the US people are inherently dishonest. And yes a majority of US residents are poorly educated and ignorant. Ask 100 US residents their state capital or how their government is structured or what is in the US Constitution, or some basic math or to name some planets or how the tides occur and the vast majority will be unable to answer the questions correctly. Part of it is the low quality education, and some of it is the diet of over processed food with brain damaging chemicals, and part of it is the obesity and rest is just laziness. There was a time when people wanted to learn and to explore for themselves. Now they are afraid and rely on "influencers" to tell them how to think.
  25. Maybe the other militants will learn from this. The man knew his time was up. He chose to engage with the IDF ,firing at the engineers clearing the tunnels and he gave his position away. This clearly vindicates the Israel strategy of staying the course and going through the tunnels, searching and destroying them. Had Israel caved to the pressure, Hamas would have regrouped in the North and continued its war with Israel. Now it is up to the Hamas leadership secure in their Qatari luxury villas, to decide if they will continue the war or not. They can end it immediately with the release of the hostages. If not, the war continues.
