  1. Well, that's it. The Palestinians have self-destructed in frustration. Israel now has the excuse it always wanted to ethnically cleanse the region. They will make the Palestinians' lives so impossible that they will have to move en masse. I hope they find decent lives elsewhere in the Arab world (not Europe). Israel has won this, as was always inevitable, given that the west has shamelessly been on their side all along. The Zionist takeover of this region had been one of the shabbiest episodes in the history of mankind. They ought to hang their heads in shame for all eternity.
  2. Immigrants of course. The leader is Kurdish. Swedes are better than that. The BBC won't mention it as it is destroys their leftist agenda.
  3. Question to you: Why do you believe it happened exactly the way she said it did? Do you not pause for a moment and consider that Brand's version of events would be quite different? Do you know any women? If so, you'll know how they are quite capable of twisting things, distorting things, exaggerating things, and downright making things up. Or would you deny that is possible? In my experience, that's their default method of self-defence. Cases like this have been disproven/thrown out of court so often that me-too has no credibility left. Regretfully, I no longer believe anything these women say.
  4. Why assume it was a 'he'? They let women fly F-35s nowadays. Don't you know women are the new men?
  5. Fine, if they can manage the system efficiently, but I expect only more delays in the already-chaotic boarding process. The industry has always failed utterly in its ability to board people on a plane with any efficiency - it seems they are simply not interested in doing so as the chaos allows them to charge extra for priority boarding. They need a non-intrusive weighing method that weighs as people walk past (though does the technology exist to weigh a moving object?). And how much fuel-saving will the trim really make? Presumably with enough people, random seat allocation will distribute the weight fairly equally. I suspect it is all just a precursor to introducing weight-related charges later.
  6. You didn't ignore it. You made that pointed reply. It would be just as easy to answer the question rather than make with the passive-aggressive outrage, although of course to answer the question is to lose the argument.
  7. Ok, the site was down for a couple of days. It's working again. Now I've forgotten what I was going to ask it...
  8. Is the Thaivisa ChatGPT no longer working, or is it just me?
  9. How dare you? I am asking a civil question in the hope of an instructive answer. Please tell us what language you would like us to use, or stop dictating the terms of society to everyone else.
  10. So what's the proper word to identify that type of person? Or are you saying we are not allowed to have one?
  11. Before launching into this kind of thing, can we have a reasonably definitive survey of just how many LGBT people there are in society nowadays? Nobody has the slightest idea. For years I've been maintaining that it is about 30% (including those so deep in the closet that they are in denial), but I hear some people still believe it is as low as 2% which is patently absurd. This is a huge issue for society now. We really need to know what we are dealing with.
  12. No town in Thailand is worth more than a few days unless you find somewhere as an easy base for touring. I don't understand your objection to Kanchanaburi - never had a bad experience there.
  13. It would be fun to suppose that he expected to get off scot free and they done him up like a kipper, in which case he might feel like Julian Assange, who spent 7 years holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy, and then got thrown into prison. But one year (down to 6 months for good behaviour - down to 3 months for medical reasons) was probably all part of the deal. He can just put his feet up for a while.
  14. Absurd and grotesque. Next time he makes a speech they should put him on jump leads.
  15. Is it not obvious what's going on? The "illness" is all part of the rehabilitation scam. The deal has already been done. Thaksin has only to spend a bit of time in the cooler for appearances' sake. The military had only one option left open to them. Step 1 of that plan was to suppress MFP. Step 2 was getting in bed with Pheu Thai, which was so incredible it could only be in return for (Step 3) letting Thaksin back in. Once the dust has settled, we'll see the deep state working to neutralise, for one concocted reason after another, the members of the alliance they don't like and wriggle back into something like full control. It was the only option they had left open to them to retain some power. You have to admire their cunning, once again.
  16. If this doesn't stir you... you're already dead.
  17. Maybe he is suffering but he should keep it to himself instead of this undignified display of whining. He was a coward for running away, now he's a coward on coming back. His time is over and I don't want to hear any more about this guy.
  18. Why are people worried about the feelings of immigrants? By becoming an immigrant have by that very fact forfeited their own culture, their own traditions, their own language, their own standards of behaviour, and are required to conform to the culture of the host nation - at least when in public. That has to be understood. They should be made to sign a statement acknowledging such on the immigration document. Problem solved.
  19. I sincerely hope Rubiales (and his mother) fights this out. Someone has got to. I've had it up to here with frail-minded minorities dictating the terms of society to everyone else. (It's only feminists who are against this, not ordinary women.) The whole of society can't be dragged down the level of the weakest - that's unworkable.
  20. I contend that it's not possible to draw something on someone's head without being pushed away at the very instant of the attempt. Moreover, assuming the drawing was somehow completed, how could he see what it was? (Oh gawd, why do I bother...?)
  21. About 80% still masked up in the mall today (N. Bangkok). About 50% in the street. I doubt they are worried about catching Covid - they do it out of habit or because they don't want to offend the karens. I flew to Europe recently - Mrs D was the only one on the plane wearing a mask. Zero people in France we wearing masks. Coming back, a number of people on the plane were coughing heavily and making no effort to suppress it (cattle!). I caught flu (apparently not Covid). Would a mask have saved me? Moot point, but I'm still not prepared to wear a mask. If we can't live without all this safety-paranoia then life's not worth living.
  22. No. Drugs are degenerate, by definition. We were given a brain and a beautiful world to live in. If that's not enough, then you ask yourself why you bother living.
