  1. Too many foreign financed "hubs" at risk if the labour costs rise
  2. Let's not forget that every puff on a joint or pipe introduces concentrated PM2.5 directly into the lungs. It is not as harmless as some claim but in my opinion far less damaging to society and the users body than alcohol.
  3. Very common on here. It's a forum full of angry old men whos lives are empty with nothing better to do than whinge about everything and everyone whilst waiting for death. Well done to the couple and best of luck.
  4. Not sure if a working guy with his own home and savings would qualify for all you mention. Yes,a registered disabled person on benifits with no savings would get everything for free including a suitably adapted home to live in. Having a certain amount of "assests and savings" would exclude him from most help although i am unsure of the savings amount. Look at what happens to elderly property owners that have paid into the system all their life,if they require care home help they are expected to sell their property to pay for the care home bills.
  5. This is the reason i recently took my A2 licence in the UK so that i am legally covered to ride my Xmax 300 over here, even though my Thai licence is for any size bike. Insurance companies are legalised thieves.
  6. Thai boxing is an old school martial art. The modern day MMA fighters are well rounded in many areas of combat. Thai boxers are mean and talented but would get destroyed by quality MMA fighters.
  7. No surprise. Normal behaviour from 3rd world rulers wanting to retain control
  8. Great idea when they have nothing to defend. Toys for the boys
  9. That's random.... And there is the real reason this debacle is still going on
  10. Hardly suprising in a land that keeps so many people on the edge of poverty. The scammers know how desperate the people are and the poverty makes them gullible to any sort of scam that appears to offer a chance to make some money. Not to mention the greedy well off Thais that are so desperate to increase their wealth without getting off their backsides - like so many other nationalities these days.
  11. Agreed, Thais love an easy money opportunity. If there was a market for dog legs, there wouldn't be a soi dog left in the country with all it's legs. I am in no way anti weed, i smoke a couple of joints every night (compressed bush, not the outragously priced indoor grown weed) but the way everyone threw money at opening shops to make a fast buck might come back to bite them.
  12. Best case-non of the new proposals/laws get enforced. Worst case-smokers have to go back to the outdoor grown compressed weed. Weed shop owners and investers must have known it was all a gamble in this country that loves u turns.
  13. Describing deaths and injuries as "traffic mishaps" speaks volumes
  14. Opening DLT's that actually train people to be competant on the roads would be a good start. In combination with a system that bans people who are caught drink driving, driving without a licence and without insurance might start to reduce deaths on the roads.
  15. I suspect a lot of this countries mental health issues stem from long term Yaba use, Amphetamine does strange things to people, paranoia being a common side effect.
  16. I genuinely feel sorry for the average Thais that earn such a pittance for a days work. My girlfriend has to work for 4 days to earn the 1,200 baht my company in the UK gives me for a daily food allowance. Very sad.
  17. No complaints from me, 200 baht a month for decent mobile data speed, 5g everywhere i go. Cheap as chips.
