  1. I don't, but I am curious why foreigners care about US illegal immigration.
  2. Kamala Harris is expanding her national lead over Trump, but, more importantly, her lead in swing states is slowly growing. Another trend is a reduction in undecided voters as the election nears. This has the effect of raising the numbers of both candidates, but it's better to be up 51-49 than 47-45.
  3. Helene is now Category 4, and barreling towards Tallahassee. This will not be fun. There could be mass casualties along the coast, due to people staying in their homes rather than going to high ground. There may be 50 foot waves hitting houses near the ocean. There are reservoirs north of Tallahassee that may overflow, which will add to the flooding.
  4. The only river I know that flows from China to Thailand is the Mekong, but it's not causing flooding in Thailand. The source of the Ping river may be in Myanmar, though.
  5. Fox News Poll: Harris is ahead of Trump by 3 points in Georgia Harris receives 51% support to Trump’s 48% among both registered and likely voters. While her advantage may be narrow (inside the margin of error), it is steady. Last month, she was up 50-48% among registered voters.
  6. Smartmatix and Newsmax settled their lawsuit. Newsmax could have simply provided proof of their allegations that the election was stolen in court, but I guess they didn't actually have any proof.
  7. Good advice for anyone planning to ride out the hurricane.
  8. What's more common are stupid "news" stories, where some analyst claims that a poll represents big news for some candidate. Of course, basing any opinion on one poll means the opinion is worthless. Specifically, opinions based on the cross tabs of a poll are worth less than zero. If, for example, a poll has 1,000 participants, and you are looking for single Black women, there may be 10 in the poll, not enough for a normal curve. Worse, concatenating polls to generate a larger sample size has drawbacks because each poll presents the questions differently. Having said that, the top national polls usually get the final numbers fairly closely. I look for Trump to be averaging 47% in the last polls, and that should be close to the mark.
  9. This topic is in the Political section because the governor of Florida has eliminated mention of Climate Change in the government. Now, this monster hurricane, fueled by excessively warm ocean water, is bearing down on Tallahassee, the state capitol. 20 foot waves are predicted at landfall. Unless there is a miracle, the area between the ocean and Tallahassee is going to be flooded, maybe Tallahassee too. This one is going to kill a lot of the people who hunker down in their homes. Now is the time to get out of town.
  10. Fox News cuts off Trump as he goes on ludicrous rant about declining furniture quality Vote for Trump and he will force the Chinese to make better furniture.
  11. Standard Soviet practice was to centralize hot water (used also for heating). So, Moscow is vulnerable to loss of heat, as well.
  12. Trump ally Rudy Giuliani officially disbarred in D.C. over 2020 election actions Rudy could have saved himself by providing proof of election fraud in 2020. But he didn't, because his claims were lies. I am so sorry you believed him.
  13. I'm not sure if the "lady" is really female. The timing of the announcement makes me wonder. Plus, the rarity of a ladyboy going with a lady. I think we may be seeing a lot of ladyboy marriages.
  14. Are you a charter member of "Foreigners Against Illegal Immigration - in America"? Does it really bother you that someone enters the US illegally ? How about those North Koreans sneaking into China?
  15. Someone in the government obviously thought there would be a PR benefit if they said the taxes on imported wine would be eliminated. So they claimed they would do it, got the PR benefit and then forgot about it. Mostly, they are "mulling" some reform, and that's as far as they go.
  16. I just saw an engagement notice on Facebook between a ladyboy and a Thai lady. At least she claimed to be a Thai lady on Facebook. The only way to know is to check for a baby on her Facebook, as lady boys don't normally show babies on FB.
  17. And yet, according to Project 2025 — a document hundreds of pages long that lays out a policy agenda and 180-day playbook if the GOP wins the White House — NOAA needs to go. The report calls it “one of the main drivers of the climate change alarm industry and, as such, is harmful to future U.S. prosperity.” Under this plan, the various parts of NOAA would be “streamlined,” downsized, broken up. The hurricane center would become the focus of increased ideological scrutiny to make sure data collected is presented “without adjustments intended to support any one side in the climate debate.” And the National Weather Service, the plan says, should be commercialized. Wonder whose cronies would benefit from that? Also, many commercial weather services use the information from the NHC and NWS to make their predictions.
  18. Actual Reality does not agree with you Of course you want Trump to win, because reality gives you a sad.
  19. Remember that that the national polls are about the popular vote, not the electoral college. The top national polls were fairly accurate in 2016.
  20. Not strange at all. The Teamsters poll was not a random sample.
  21. This tells us you don't understand the concept of a random sample. Which is why you don't trust polls. Can you explain why the top national polls were so accurate in 2020, 2016 and 2012?
  22. Your response is gibberish. "A person who admires autocrats and murderous dictators.” John Kelly
