  1. It's extremely likely that Trump will go to prison any time soon, even if convicted. His attorneys will appeal the conviction for years. My experience has been that Appeals Courts often provide some relief, if only to stay in business.
  2. Trump falsified business records to hide a campaign finance violation.
  3. Your other personality claimed that Trump would be convicted.
  4. I can't believe that Trump would allow his lawyers to not call a witness.
  5. You want to see a bigger insurrection after Trump loses?
  6. Any interest in stopping Trump from outlawing windmills?
  7. There was a campaign finance violation, as you state above, which was covered up by Trump via business fraud. If there was no crime, why didn't Trump pay Stormy Daniels directly from the coffers of the Trump campaign?
  8. Let's not assume that Trump's defense is hopeless based on their recent, fairly incompetent performance.
  9. What's your point? Do you deny the payment to Stormy Daniels happened?
  10. Yes, Michael Cohen went to jail for a campaign finance violation that Trump tried to cover up by employing business fraud. Nothing in the trial so far has shaken the prosecution's case. Maybe the Defense will pull a rabbit out of the hat next week.
  11. However, the situation will be different after the conventions, Trump's fundraising will pick up, and his campaign will mushroom. Just like polling, what is happening today doesn't really matter.
  12. Mr. Trump has said he would escalate his trade war with China if re-elected and said this year that he was considering imposing tariffs of 60 percent or more on Chinese imports. In March, Mr. Trump said he would impose a 100 percent tariff on cars made in Mexico by Chinese companies.
  13. You must be senile, since the OP states the opposite of what you just posted.
  14. Donald Trump committed business fraud to cover up an illegal campaign finance violation. As for FEC: Ultimately Mr. Cohen was sentenced to three years in prison and ordered to pay $1.39 million in restitution, $500,000 in forfeiture, and $100,000 in fines for two campaign finance violations (including the payment at issue in these matters) and other charges. In sum, the public record is complete with respect to the conduct at issue in these complaints, and Mr. Cohen has been punished by the government of the United States for the conduct at issue in these matters. Thus, we concluded that pursuing these matters further was not the best use of agency resources.
  15. I am not going to bother doing the Google thing to quote from Trump's rant the other day, since you paraphrased Trump immediately. The big question is whether Trump's attorney was able to trip up Michael Cohen during the cross examination. Spoiler Alert: Todd Blanche mailed it in, and so the Trump fans here don't have any talking points today to share.
  16. When polls show Biden leading Trump, will you believe them?
  17. Indirectly. You copied Trump's rant the next day, where you stated that NDAs are legal. This was the first time that Trump acknowledged his participation in the NDA with Stormy Daniels.
  18. Polls during a trial are worthless. Polling after a jury verdict is useful. It looks like the prosecution is going to wrap up it's case with Michael Cohen, so Thursday could be the last day. The Defense may start their case on Friday.
  19. This may be a difficult concept for you, but Steve Bannon has been sentenced to prison. If he does not appeal, he goes to prison.
  20. If Bannon doesn't continue his appeals, he goes to jail.
  21. Wow. A classic Gish Gallop. I will give you the same advice I give for anyone who posts a Gish Gallop: don't lead with a lie, because that stops people from reading the rest.
  22. Not a lot of love for Steve Bannon here.
  23. Trump recorded the transactions as "legal services", which is how invoices from attorneys are normally paid. The problem is that the payment to Michael Cohen wasn't for legal services, it was compensation for an illegal campaign finance violation. As for Trump, for the first time, he admitted he knew about the NDA. Oops
