  1. Nope. If that were true, the first person convicted of violation of a new law would always get off on appeal. You should try thinking before you post.
  2. $5,000 is approximately the cash that Nathan Wade laid out for the trips. Trump's people claim this is sufficient to warrant disqualification of Ms. Willis, due to conflict of interest, ie she hired Wade so she could get free trips. Otherwise, there is no possible conflict of interest. This has been explained repeatedly here. You don't seem to be keeping up on current events. Ms. Willis' response is that she paid expenses for Mr. Wade with cash.
  3. I am amazed that Thailand cannot block websites that support online gambling. All it would take is one official to sit there with a smartphone and look for websites with slots and numbers, and then have them blocked on AIS and other major carriers and ISPs.
  4. from your link: "Still, the team says the absolute risk of developing any one of the condition remains small. For instance, 13 billion doses of vaccines have been administered and there have only been 2,000 cases of all conditions." This may be less than for unvaccinated people.
  5. What excess deaths? Remember, in this forum, you need to back up your assertions.
  6. Sounds like a great project for the technical wizards in the Immigration Department.
  7. 91 felony charges, and you are still finding excuses for Trump. You ask "where did I proclaim his innocence" and then post that Trump is being unfairly prosecuted. "Seems to me his only crime is having a loud mouth" is called "proclaiming his innocence". Duhhh... Trump has been indicted with multiple co-defendants so you can't claim he is being singled out.
  8. And yet you make endless posts proclaiming his innocence. What about the Trump fluffers who claim that Trump is innocent of the 91 felony counts?
  9. The defense's reasoning is that Fani Willis concocted the indictments against 18 people so she could get $5,000 in free trips.
  10. It's obvious: a guilty perp's last line of defense is "whatabout them? They did it, too!"
  11. Trump spends $3 million to pay lawyers as one super PAC bails out another Trump is losing money on some of his campaign organizations.
  12. Of course, but there are plenty of judges with whom Engoron could have consulted. Like any reasonable person involved in the biggest case of their life would do.
  13. I agree that the witnesses were a major fail. Still, the low threshold for disqualification is the problem.
  14. I sure hope the guy who got tackled by bystanders is one of the 2 suspects.
  15. An appeals court is never going to dismiss asset valuation fraud. But, the appeals court may reduce the verdict amount. The question is whether Trump can get a bond within 30 days. One factor that everyone ignores is that it's likely that Judge Engoron conferred with other judges during the trial.
  16. It's very common for motorists caught speeding to alert the police to others who are driving too fast. Doesn't get them out of a ticket, though.
  17. As long as you don't understand that Trump obstructed justice by refusing to return Classified documents and then tried to hide them, this will all be a mystery to you.
  18. Trump's legal team would be happy to have you help them. Because you could tell the judge: "Trump is guilty as hell, but Biden and Pence did it, too".
  19. The sole source of the *additional* CO2 in the atmosphere now is human activity. https://www.climate.gov/news-features/climate-qa/how-do-we-know-build-carbon-dioxide-atmosphere-caused-humans @Yellowtail will confirm, depending on whether his memory works today.
  20. One sparrow does not make a Spring. I would like to see more reports before chancing it myself.
  21. The Steele dossier was never intended as a source of facts, it was compiled as a collection of rumors about Trump, funded by Republicans. It was just raw data. It happens that a significant fraction of those rumors were true.
  22. Trump might think Mar-a-Lago is worth $1.8 billion, but in 2020, his own company said the Palm Beach appraiser was right. That year, the county valued Mar-a-Lago at $27 million.
