You don't like reading the indictment, but you will certainly criticize it here.

Still waiting for the pro-Trump talking points from our fellow posters who happen be immersed in the Cult of Trump. I guess the late night (in America) release of the indictment is causing a delay, but the talking points should be available this morning (US Time). My guess? "Sydney Powell was secretely working for Antifa".

Georgia prosecutors could charge Trump with racketeering, experts say
My opinion is that there is a danger of states indicting sitting presidents for political reasons, after all this Trump drama is history. Ideally, Congress would pass a law that Presidents can be indicted by anyone (even the Feds), but the indictments would be put on hold, and the statues of limitations tolled, until the president is out office.

A President cannot pardon convictions in state courts. The governor of Georgia does not have pardon power. RICO convictions have a 5 year minimum sentence, no probation.

Trevian Kutti is an interesting character in this rogues gallery: https://edition.cnn.com/2022/06/14/politics/georgia-grand-jury-trevian-kutti/index.html Allegedly, she threatened a Georgia election worker with arrest, if the election worker didn't provide a false confession of voter fraud. Interestingly, she is a minion of Kanye West, and could implicate Mr. West if she flips. Because somebody had to order Ms. Kutti to threaten the election worker.

There is a legal process to challenge the results of an election, but Trump is indicted for extra-legal activities. The tipoff is that Trump did not do the grunt work of examining the numbers at the precinct level. Or maybe his consultants did, but concluded that there was no fraud. Every vote comes from somewhere, so following the votes would reveal fraud. In this case, there was no significant fraud in Georgia. Rudy has already admitted telling lies about the Georgia election. I suspect there will be further admissions by defendants who flip.

Trump has a reasonable chance to get off on these charges due to a hung jury. Its the NYC and DC juries that are the risks for him. But, don't celebrate too much for today's news, this is just the beginning.

Special counsel to investigate President Biden's son Hunter
if a Special Counsel were assigned to investigate me (or anyone else), given enough time, they will find something to charge. So, Hunter Biden will probably go down for something. And I certainly won't vote for him for president.

I am sure you believe that anyone who would prosecute Trump is a horrible person. After all, he is your Dear Leader, and you are in a cult.

"Remember Jerry, if you believe it was true, it wasn't a lie." You are posting defenses for Trump that are so weak that they won't be used at trial.

This is very bad news for Trump's legal team from that time period.

Trump charged with four counts over 2020 election
Whether Trump believed or not the election was stolen is irrelevant to his defense (except an insanity plea). If you rob a bank because you think the bank stole your money isn't going to protect you against a bank robbery charge.

Climate change: July set to be world's warmest month on record
10 years ago is when the mainstream Climate Change Deniers gave up, leaving a handful of deadenders. There are a few people today who deny that: CO2 levels are really high; Humans are generating this excess CO2; The excess CO2 is causing global heating. Not too many deny that anymore.

Climate change: July set to be world's warmest month on record
Both you - and your internet friend who sent you the graph - are unable to understand the graph's message, which is that current CO2 levels are really high.
-
Climate change: July set to be world's warmest month on record
They both can be true, as they are using samples from different periods. If a third scientist had a sample from 10 million years ago, they might have a different conclusion. You are having a cognitive problem. Because you are overlooking the main issue - that current CO2 levels are really, really high, and the planet is warming.

Trump charged with four counts over 2020 election
If the Fulton County DA indicts too many people, she is going to see an army of attorneys representing the defendants. Unfortunately, her office does not have the same firepower as the Feds, so maybe less is more.
