Mr. Moo's sausages are inoffensive, but bland. My official English food taster agrees as well.

Agreed that it sounds like he got a Non-Immigrant O visa instead of an O-A.
Looks like that might be the case except on this 3rd re-entry his 'admit until' was extended by a year.

Poster on another board has an interesting situation.
He obtained a 1 year multiple entry O-A visa from a Thai consulate in Australia. But, the visa is also stamped, “valid for stay up to 90 days”. He says the 90 days per entry was pointed out to him, but that immigration said “he could ‘convert’ the visa removing the 90 day exit requirement in exchange for a 90 day reporting requirement.)”
Recognizing that per the stamp he was only allowed 90 day stays he exited and re-entered Thailand on two occasions so as not to stay beyond that limit. 1st time re-entered by air at BKK and was given a 90 day admission of stay. The 2nd time he re-entered from Cambodia and was again admitted for 90 days.
But the 3rd time when he re-entered Thailand by air at BKK he was stamped in for 365 days.
He’s now feeling very uneasy about his situation. Should he do another 90 day border run or go to immigration and clarify his admission status given that he now has been given a 1 year stay per the multi O-A?? Is there any likelihood that immigration would rule he’s on overstay?
I'm guessing that the "valid for stay up to 90 days" was stamped in error or is this the way Australian O-A's are issued?

The original site is http://www.mapjack.com/ , but per "privacy concerns" a separate site was developed for Pattaya. Mapjack (in Beta) is currently only partially up as there are a number of cities in California that though photographed are not available at this time.

Diet Sprite (Coca Cola product) has also disappeared. Last I bought was at Tops a couple of months ago. In the past Carrefour has not been able to keep Pepsi Max in stock. I've always assumed the problem is at the Pepsi plant.

Gulf Pattaya Restaurant - Beach Road - N. side of Hard Rock Hotel. Lots of tour buses.
Good luck.

For comparison Los Angeles (LAX) showed a decline of 19% in international traffic for the month of March vs. March 2008. This was the 12th straight month of declines.

Had been having lots of connection problems using Maxnet until I changed to static DNS - as per the ones "monty" posted in a thread a couple of years ago And yes, no connection for an hour or so this morning. Also connections were erratic yesterday but not to the extent "raro" described.

Mate whose place overlooks the site and sees all on a daily basis says a JCB has been moving rubble about in what he accurately or perhaps cynically thinks is an attempt to look busy. His point of view comes from watching various folks screwing about with this building going on 4 years now.
Looks like it could be finished for a Christmas opening. Guess he meant 2009 :-)
Best of luck.

and where the heck is Modern Form located? i've bought 3 chairs in the last 3 years. 1 from Office Depot, don't know where i got the other 2 from. all of them seeme to be produced (ergonomics and upholstery) for thai dwarfs standing 1.50m tall and weighing 39.5 kilos
Looking from Sukhumvit W. down toward HomeWorks, at the Big C center, it's the first shop on the left nearest Sukhumvit.
Had a look today and there were too many choices at a wide price spread. I'll likely go back tomorrow and make a selection.

Shop on Soi Arunothai (Pattaya Klang Soi 1 across from Carrefour) on the S. side about 100 down the soi from Klang just past Vanaporn Apartments - has a fading "Iron Works" sign.
Screens for front security door and balcony cost 2200 baht - with 500 baht deposit. Measure one day and likely installed the next.

I've seen Milk, Frost/Nixon, The Reader and Doggie and none bear a repeat viewing in my opinion.

I mentioned your query to a mate of mine who went through a somewhat similar situation, though upcountry not Pattaya. And the first thing he said was, “He needs a lawyer and it’ll probably cost him around 25,000 baht.”
My mate’s impression is that Immigration does not always trust birth certificates – too many forgeries about. The court appearance will be more than just signing a piece of paper. The court wants to be assured that whatever custody action they take will best benefit the child. If the child is old enough they will ask him/her to point out their father in the court room and if not then there will likely be additional evidence/documentation – etc. - required. And of course the whole procedure will be conducted in Thai.
He used his Pattaya lawyer even though the court hearing was held upcountry. PM me if want the lawyer’s name.

Someone on another TV thread recommended Euro Optic opposite Royal Garden Plaza And Marriot Resort on Pattaya 2nd road. Specialize in progressive lenses.
Did price comparison and they were substantially more expensive than my usual choice Pattaya Optical on N. side of Klang above 2nd Rd.

With parking for 2000 cars I don't think they're going to be relying on tourists as the major customer base.

I'm always looking for some of the over the counter heartburn/gas aids that are so common in the USA (TUMS, Zantac, etc.). Can't seem to find those anywhere in Pattaya, including Villa.
Zantac is a trade name for generic RANITIDINE -- Xanidine (Berlin Pharma) in Thailand.

Seems as if the OP is looking for a condo near shopping - esp. groceries - and also accessible to entertainment, cinema and a gym for starters.
The most farang friendly markets are Foodland, Friendship, Tops, Carrefour, and Villa. Suggest you explore the areas adjacent to these stores for suitable accommodation. The rest of your needs can be reached by baht bus or motocy taxi - depending.
For condos, townhouses and houses check out:
Centre Condo near Friendship.
Area on the N. side of Foodland off Pattaya Klang.
Soi Yume (aka S.S. Villa) - soi on the E. side of Carrefour has a lot of new apartments and condos going up.
Soi Arunothai for 9 Karat and Nirun Condos (this is Pattaya Klang Soi 1 running S. of Carrefour)
For Tops try the area N. off Pattaya Klang - sois 12 & 14. Might also be accessible to Carrefour and Foodland via baht bus.

I'll go and ask myself next week, but has anybody renewed a Visa 3 - 4 weeks before expiry date ?
Yes I did, 3 weeks prior this past September at Pattaya Immigration.

I’d start by finding a good freight forwarding agent here in Thailand as you at least have some control over the originating end whereas you have none here. If you spend some time doing searches on thaivisa you’ll find some positive reports on specific agents. One I found after a few minutes by searching for “freight forwarding” is Freight Links Express in Bangkok whose website you can find by Google.
Most freight forwarders don’t want to be bothered by small, one-off shipments as these LCL’s (less than container load) are time consuming. And it just isn’t worth their time given that the client has to be “educated’ to get through the process, but there are some who will do it. You can send off emails describing the approximate number of cartons, their contents, approximate weight and volume to agents specifying LCL and await replies. You won’t get many. To find likely agents do a search for freight forwarding agents in Bangkok and Laem Chabang. The responses you do get will help you decide if it’s worth doing business with them.
Customs duty will depend on the agent you select and their relationship with Thai customs and your ability to negotiate a "fair" amount with that agent. Perhaps not unlike negotiating price with a used car salesman.

Have you tried the shop next to MacTravel on the north side of S. Pattaya Rd? A bit toward Sukhumvit from Friendship but opposite side of the road.

Try the Bangkok Bank on 2nd Road across from Soi 6. They've done what you want for me in years past. (My account is also in Bangkok at the Suk-Soi 8 branch.) Very, very doubtful anything but the letter will suffice.
