    Huh? Where is the criticism of him losing on the deal? He made a deal with Putin and that deal is gone now. So if someone claims trump didn't lose anything, he's wrong. Trump lost out on a deal.

    Very much agree. Keep in mind that the deal offered to zelensky is a deal concocted between the US and Russia. And when putin says 'i will respect the deal', trump obviously believes him. Zelensky does not and wants assurances.

    Bottom line. US and Russia carved up Ukraine, planned to split the spoils without offering Ukraine anything. That was 'the deal'. And they presented that in a very open way, attempting to publicly humiliate the Ukrainian president. In the end it will be bad for the US.

    Trump wanted to gain access to valuables without giving anything in return. It was made a lot worse by his lapdog. Zelensky was polite, trump showed again he is a terrible human being and an even worse negotiator.
