That change is interesting  but I can't find any evidence that the full runway was used.

The rotation certainly did not look normal. A lot of dust kicked up as if the aircraft was possibly off the end of the runway and over dry grass when it lifted off. The climb angle was always shallow and the whole take off event looked to be a struggle, sadly.

I'll trust experienced pilots over an armchair quarterback.

    To remind you once again:

The words "My guess" in your sentence referred to military retaliation.  If raining barrages of missiles on Israel isn't military retaliation, what would you call it?  And I have to ask:  By "covertly," do you mean terrorist bombings or other terrorist actions in the region (Middle East?) and in the West (Europe, North and South America, Australia)?

Quote me in full please. You omitted from my quote ' Israeli reaction so far has been restrained '.

Trump is also appealing an $83 million defamation verdict won by writer E. Jean Carroll and battling a colossal civil fraud judgment that has ballooned to over half a billion dollars with interest. That case found that Trump and his associates misled banks and investors to enrich his real estate empire.

Big loss for trump in that case.

“The captain of the Air India flight opted to continue and proceed with the flight to New Delhi”

“Responding swiftly, Thailand's Aeronautical Radio informed airport authorities, prompting the pilot to seek an urgent landing.”

is it just me or are these two statements contradictory?

Yes, it's you. Read properly and you'll understand that after return to Phuket the flight went to New Delhi.

An American security contractor working with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation says the new aid initiative is plagued with problems and is not properly serving Palestinians.

The man — whose op-ed is anonymously published by the far-left Zeteo news site — says he is one of the hundreds of people hired by UG Solutions, one of the two American contractors working with GHF.

He says contractors were given very little information and training before being sent into Gaza.

The agreement in itself benefits everyone. It facilitates the flow of goods in an out of  Gibraltar, and will make it easier to get to Gibraltar without having to land in Spain and then transit to the enclave. A big win for the local economy, and a boost to tourism.

The presence of Spanish border/customs of agents in the territory is not a new concept and makes life easier for everyone. UK Border Force officers already operate in France at the Port of Calais, the Eurotunnel terminal, Paris Gare du Nord, Lille, and Calais-Frethun. They also operate at Brussels-South railway station in Belgium and Amsterdam Centraal and Rotterdam Centraal stations in the Netherlands.   The USA has its border and customs agents stationed inside at Shannon, Dublin, Dubai and all major Canadian airports as well as in Aruba, Bahamas and Barbados, so that travellers clear US  border security before they enter the USA. It  makes travel easier and speeds  cargo transit.

    Completely agree with this.

No, the 2 levers are at different places. The gear is on the captain’s side on the panel while the flap handle is close to the co-pilot seat in the left armrest position. Both are totally different in shape. The gear level has a small wheel to remind the pilots its function while the flap lever has the curvature of the wing also a reminder of its function.

Also here speculation from experienced pilots it could have been wrong retraction. Also examples from earlier flaps in stead of landing gear retraction.

Yup - it looks like that at a layman's glance on the surface - but once we look at this a little more intelligently, dig a little deeper into the area, and numbers and standardise the comparison:

There are approximately ~1500 drownings each year in Thailand - many of those are kids in ponds (more safety education in schools would help a lot here).

Australia's coastline is ~59,700 km (incl. islands) / Thailands is  ~3,200 km.

Drownings in Australia:  323 people / Thailand ~1500 (per year)

To make a more fair comparison evaluate Phuket with New South Wales (I used Bondi in my example earlier).

On average, roughly 61 coastal drownings for new south wales in a year (2023)

New South Wales Coastline:  ~2,137 km (1,328 miles)

Comparison Metrics: New South Wales (NSW) vs Phuket

Coastline length:                    2,137 km (NSW)   /   210 km (Phuket)

    Annual drownings:                              61 (NSW)  /   13 (Phuket)

Population (approx):             8,400,000 (NSW)   /   1,000,000 (Phuket residents + tourists - high season)

    Drownings per 100,000 ppl:           0.73 (NSW)  /   1.30 (Phuket)

Drownings per 100 km of coast:    2.85 (NSW)  /   6.19 (Phuket)

Phuket’s drowning rate per person is ~78% higher than NSW’s.

Phuket’s coastline has a drowning density more than twice that of NSW

Key Risk Factors Driving Phuket’s Higher Rates

    - Lower lifeguard coverage and less robust rescue infrastructure.

    - Tourists unfamiliar with ocean conditions (esp. during monsoon season).

    - Less signage and beach management, particularly at remote or non-resort beaches.

    - Non-compliance with red flag warnings and poor beach behaviour awareness.

Phuket presents higher drowning risk per capita and per kilometre of coastline than NSW.

How is per capita relevant? Better compare number of people using the beaches.

Really strange that the pilot called Mayday only once then silence.

Throat cut by Pakistani terrorists  a massive electromagnetic attack taking out all systems. Trial of Chinese tech? All speculation of course.

My speculation: pilot error. Wrong thrust and runway required calculation, resulting in not gaining enough speed to climb.

If two parties have lost a lot of support, does it imply that he won't win another election?

Depends how you define 'win'. At the moment it looks possible he'll become the biggest party, but the present coalition could lose a lot of support. BBB and NSC are looking to lose, and right wing FvD is not heard of lately.

But October is still far away.

You gave bad info after doing a google search for the wrong thing.  Now you are apparently upset after I tried to explain the error and think you deserve a gold star participation award instead?

Upset? Just disappointed you lack common courtesy.

Google search? No, i just remembered i saw something that could be what you were looking for and managed to refind it.
