Thousands of foreigners have PR in Thailand, which allows them to live permanently in Thailand without having to renew their extension of stay ever. PR holders or whatever you want to call it , are listed in the Blue House Book. Update your knowledge and then comment There is even a thread here on aseannow , on how to obtain PR - Update your limited and outdated knowledge here

I have not seen even one officer of the Thai Revenue Dept who speaks even rudimentary English. I have been to their head office on Paholyothin road, none of them could speak English. Even 2nd graders speaks better English than them. How will they communicate with foreigners and tell them that their tax is due? Their e tax filing website is in Thai only

Certainly Affirmative, my Good Sir

They will just reprint your existing one, as it is (Original Expiry) Fee is 55 baht

Even if u have given them your TIN, you can earn only 20K thb per year If the interest touches even 20,001 thb, then tax rate becomes 100 % You will have to file PND 90 to get it back A bit of a caution - you will have to declare all your income/savings /investments to the revenue department to be able to file PND 90 , to get your interest back @matchar

Be warned, as a foreigner you cannot use their (GSB) mobile application, as it requires a Thai national ID card number only. It cannot be activated with a Passport number There were report on this forum that someone was able to get the application working with their Foreigners Pink card and House Book. Please check with the branch first before opening with GSB

Tax on 20,000 interest

Your Thai TIN has to be updated in the Banks software instead of your Passport number Look at @Pib post from 2019. He has explained it in detail. From @Pib 2019 post - What they recode is a specific data field in your account record called "Tax Pointer" which has the following 5 possible settings for various types of accounts. I was recoded from 005 to 001. 001 = 0 or 15% which means 0% tax withholding on Bt20K or less interest earned/year OR 15% when over Bt20K interest earned/year. 002 = 0% 003 = 1% 004 = 10% 005 = 15%
